It was both my first full sized bike as well as my first two stroke, what a gem! Out of every bike I'v ever had, thats the one I miss the most. Such a fun little snap when that bike hit power band! especially in 2nd
I had an 83 model of this bike and the 80cc model too. I was 12 years old, and both bikes were purchased brand new at Cross Roads Suzuki in So Cal. The bikes looked amazing, handled great, were reliable, and had a good pull through the powerband. I rode with a buddy who just purchased the 84 KX 125, and that bike had a stronger engine, but lacked the suspension and chassis that the RM had. I cherish my memories riding in the hills, Indian Dunes, and my favorite Red Rock Canyon in the Mojave desert. The bikes were crisp and snappy premixed with regular and super gasoline, an octane boost, as well as Bel-Ray MC1+mixed at 50:1. I appreciate you sharing your beautiful bike with us !
Beautiful! I had an 81 and an 82. They were AMAZING bikes at the time! When that 81 (virtually identical to the 82) came out, it was a real pinnacle of development for production race bikes. Gorgeous example in the video 😍😍😍
That is exactly the bike I raced in 1982. It is the most dominant 125 motocross bike ever made. It was THAT GOOD.

Best looking dirt bike ever produced.
