- A video I made a few years ago I thought I'd lost but found on an old broken hard drive. From the 13th floor Elevators LP "Easter Everywhere" I'm sure I'll improve if I ever get round to making another
the most legal trip i have ever had
That hit hard 😂
They’re all legal if nobody knows about it!
This is the version from the "Easter Everywhere" album although I've remastered it a little and given it a bit more kick
you did an outstanding job of it
@@ellastierney6419 it sound so much better
Rockin!
HOLY CRAP.............Never heard of these guys. Video actually popped up after The Cliques "Superman" song, which I knew REM recorded but didn't know REM covered (MIND BLOWN), and this beautiful piece of music comes on and I learn it is 50 years old (MIND DOUBLY BLOWN). Now I really need to get physically blown.....................................
That guitar is well produced with the rotary
The funny thing is that this is better than the official mono and stereo mixes
very good this band.............................................................
Psychadic music began with these Texans. The played California in '66, and we'll, the rest is history. Thank you Roky in particular for expanding my horizons, by singing me your songs across space and time. It makes me glad. :) Peace and Love to all the universe.
Your're levitating beyond the cosmos and the infinite now, Roky. Love ya and thanks for the music. RIP.
@Esther0393 i never heard about his death, that's sad....
Perhaps one of their better numbers. Monkey Island is great too. Get me down off the ceiling please.
Oh I forgot he died. I’ve been wonder what he’s doing sometimes time and I forgot he passed away
I adore this, what more can I say.
I'm 70 and still rock to Rocky and the boys
Yes!!
Heading for the ceiling, I'm up off the floor
I've broken my horizon, out-distancing my door
High above the ant hills in among the planes
Swooping down to hear the sound and movements of the trains
I don't need these wings to guide me
They are hardly ever there
It's the clear I make inside me
Makes me feel light as air
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
The ocean rolls below me, expanding plastic views
My vision cones to nearest land and brings me latest news
The waves of higher bodies soon dazzling in my ears
Will center my vibrations with the music of the spheres
I don't need these wings to guide me
They are hardly ever there
It's the thing building up inside me
Makes me feel light as air
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
I wanna fly now, fly
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
I've got levitation
Ooga booga sleepy sleepy
Great sonically and visually
R.I.P. Roky
I've always dug that electric jug. Janis Joplin could have done up the vocals quite nicely. JJ was supposed to become the vocalist for The Elevators. Instead, she went with Big Brother and The Holding Company. Roky (RIP) Janis (RIP)
RIP Roky
No band, ever, nailed the psychedelic experience like the Elevators.

Very kind! Nothing wrong with you! Every day we make new discoveries that enrich our lives.
Makes me feel that God is there.
Thank you sirPUNKsir, great homage to Roky ! He will be forever missed by me and many others; a seeker of truth that may have flown to close to the sun! R.I.P. Roky.
Great underrated tune by the Elevators.
Great video for a great, far out track! Just reading Roky’s obit in the Telegraph & it mentions his signing to CBS when he “insisted Doug Sahm officially witness notarisation by Erikson’s lawyer that Erickson came from Mars”
It's a Trip! Lol
they were the real beatles
Absolutely Far-Out !!! I like the Psychedelic video and the music is fantastic because I hear a bit of the Beatles in this group. The music is a bit intense and the video complements the song. Thanks for sharing this song and video with us because in the late 60’s and early 70’s they’d show something like this when a song was featured on TV. If you’re from that time period you’ll understand something like this and that’s why the song and video are…Far-Out!!!
Anybody remember the concerts at Allen's Landing.
You deserve some award or something for putting this together. I love the electric whisky jug.
Hey what did you do to the sound??? it sounds amazing man!!!
You did a fantastic job with this, Thank you!
Thank you! I really should start doing more!
@@sirPUNKsir do more please, of anything, our people need you
@@ellastierney6419 I will try and get round to it. any suggestions are welcome.
It doesn't get much better than this.
Those extra notes you added to the choral breakdown add something special to the original.
Love ❤️ this tune and band very trippy brings back memories, far out man I just love it.
Psychedelia at its best.
this is like listening to beatles ,,she's a woman" but on couple of tabs of acid
Please, let me pick my brain from all over the floor.
This blew my mind! Elevators RULE !
@cjt3700 ...That is a geat story...I have loved this video..ever since I discovered it (thanks to sirPunksir)..and it's a wonderfull tribute to a very cool band...Did you get Levitated by The Elevators!!
I am really getting into this band
Levitation Revolution !!!!! Hahahahaha....aaaargghhh !
most excellent ! video deserves an academy award
A friend of mine just bought one of their records for $150.00.
Rest in Power Roky!
My favourite Elevators song. Saw him twice in London but he seemed so embarrassed to play his Elevators songs. Such a shame.
Love this 👍
Amazing...back when playing and music was real.
what a kick ass video it's TripsVille all the way
Cool stuff
So beautiful. RIP Roky.
one of the great tracks from this period, or any for that matter. really pumps. great groove.
This song never gets old! Gotta love that jug! Pure, early psych at it's very best. Love what you did with the enhanced sound, better than my old albums, that's 4 sure!
❤
Roky is now in the presence of aliens and ghosts
Thanks Alice D I guess thats from too many trips myself and the fact that I love those old lightshows. No fractals were used during the making of this ;)
Very well done on all fronts, starting of course, in 1966 from the Elevators.
I fucking love this song and love this video! Great job, this really woke me up to a new dawn. Thanks, A.

am i going crazy or is someone saying dokitareally fast behind every song by this band
Can't touch it ... but too many don't try to touch it ... or don't know to touch it ... I try to touch it ... as much as I can ... because this is the stuff worthy of being touched
Punk sir ur a goddamn genius,I salute u!
Rocky is the man
roky was married to my Aunty Berenice. it was her who introduced him to acid and macaroon bars. but he divorced her and married my dad because he had the loudest purring cat in the world.
+George Greig HOLD ON: Are you saying that Roky Erickson divorced your aunt and then married your dad!? Btw I don't judge a man who enjoys a nice macaroon bar ;)
That's right mate naebody gives a rubbish Fuck what you or I say. Rightly so as I'm a breast and your a chest.
Beautifally said, meowwwwwww!
SirWaltenCrane dear Sir Walt. The comment about breasts and chests was in no way directed at your lordly self. Just wanted to make that clear. And as for macaroon bars...Roky once said to me that ' even with a big stick you just simply cannot fuckin whack them '
wtf am i reading
From the gargoyles to the pyramids
....we miss you.
And how.
My girl don't give me presents ... Beatles.

Cant believe I missed this comment! Thank you so much for letting me use the image! You must be very proud to form part of the family of this great Texan band
thanks again! ;)
They were great, but you'd never hear them on AOR stations, because they play the same shit. Gotta have my Journey! yuk...lmao
Convinced myself I could fly watching this. Not recommended to watch on high floors like the 13th and up
You’re just being funny, yes?
