The AP stress ankle showed an obvious fracture in the fibula so that would have hurt a lot. Also, the radiographer has made the mistake of centring through the joint space which does nothing except increase the patient and worker dose. Tube angulation does not change the position of the focus, so centring points can be changed to optimise collimation
