When fishing a short and a long line do you change the direction slightly in which you cast the further line so that its not going through the shorter line?

It shows your other two rods in the rest but both under a lot of tension is there a reason for this? I would have thought that having them under constant tension would not be good for the tips? P.S. These are feeder/quiver tips and are absolutely fine being bent like this all day every day. Most modern rods are memory free in situations like this.
