I snorted out my coffee, found you on GR, sent you a friend request and subscribed. Plus, your favorite authors placed you in a very warm spot in my heart: these authors were raved about 10 years ago, and now hardly no one wants to admit they got them into reading or in love with the YA genre.

I got A Fate Inked in Blood I got on Kindle for £1.99 so I am planning to get to it soon because I am intrigued by it... Strange Sally Diamond is a book I want because heard it is a really good book... but right now I have a lot on my TBR so eveeything will be gotten to over time haha 😄
Today I went to the bookstore with my bestie but I managed to stay vigilant and not buy anything! There was My Dark Romeo and Desire however at the moment I've got a number of ARCs which I'm focusing on. But I'm looking forward to Carley Fortune's upcoming release, This Summer Will Be Different! I need to have at least one Carley Fortune book on my bookshelf. ✨

@@readwshelby honestly when I always go to the bookstore it's like I want to buy the whole damn store! There'd be so many good choices to choose from...It's difficult to just choose one or two you know!
I've been an ARC reader and Bookstagrammer since August of 2023 and honestly I'm always adding onto my TBR Shelby! I enjoy ARC reading but truthfully I'll be slowing down in applying to enjoy my physical TBR books! 🫶✨

I decided in Jan that I was only going to read on my Kindle because I’ve just got no more room for books (unless they’re ones I know I’ll read again), but I stupidly bought Bride by Ali Hazlewood in The Works for a fiver last month. I’d never read any of her other stuff because we just didn’t seem to vibe, but, as I say, I’m stupid. I did limp along to the end but I’d rather eat my own hair than read it again tbh. I’ll be interested to know what you think of it. I really like Grace Draven, she can be verbose at times but imo her stuff so far is worth trying.

@@readwshelby I hear ya on the book front. I genuinely hope you like Bride, but to me it was just meh and there was no chemistry between the main characters at all. If that’s supposed to be her best I won’t be checking any of the others out.
I think the darker shade of magic is a trilogy and then there’s a spin off trilogy.

Ummm I have the Reformatory and I didn’t realize it was almost 600 pages!!! I was like wait, no way…and I looked at mine and sure enough, 565 pages to be exact 😮 I’ll read it with you, we can buddy read it! Maybe when it’s gets closer to October 😬👻

Actually, the Bridgerton TV show is much worse than the books, even compared to the first book, which is the worst in the entire series. And I am saying that after having read the rest of the Bridgerton books more times than I can remember whereas the first I haven't read it more than 2 or 3 times tops.
