I have been using this course and I really enjoy it! Stories were a major factor in my learning Spanish and I'm happy that it's working for French as well!

Thanks for the review! I have a few questions: Approximately how much vocabulary do these courses teach, and to what degree are new vocabulary and expressions subject to "calculated repetition" (the deliberate repetition of learned material, concepts, vocabulary, in subsequent chapters in order for it to "slip" into long term memory)? Since the course claims to take a person close to B1, one assumes it would include around 2000 words, but none of the reviews I have found for any of his courses for any language mentions anything about the amount of vocabulary, the criteria by which the vocabulary is selected (hopefully by frequency), or how effectively the vocabulary and grammar are cemented by the course structure throughout the whole course. Secondly, approximately how much text (A4 pages) does the story in the target language actually contain in total?

Hi Aga. Thanks for the review. I am learning French using Berlitz (my employer is paying) for my own interests. In thought about get Olay’s course but it seems I should wait for a bit until I am farther along in my skills. I listen to French pop songs with the lyrics to learn. I just started Marseille on Netflix and I watch each episode in French with English then French subtitles so I know the story and learn the language.

A great review. Now I know it's worth it to check further into the storytelling courses.
