- Hiii~ I present you my second animatic on this channel, but before we get to that, I have important information to share.
I'm starting college in a few days, so I won't have much time to create animations or edits. Updates will be slow, therefore I hope that despite low activity you will stay on this channel and support it.
(I'll post edits more often because I make them faster, one is even in production already)
Ok, now let's move on to the animatic. I love this song and out of curiosity I've looked through a couple of animatics with it on other channels. I noticed that most were with Luz and Amity. I thought it was a chance to make my own version but with Luz and Hunter, characters on diffrent sides. I think it fits the song quite well. I hope you like it!
(I'm planning a test animation with Amity and Hunter, maybe one day I'll make it)

eh, i disagree. the animatic itself was really good but i was always caught off guard when the cover changed. i'm sure they did the best they could tho, even if the mixing wasn't great.

I like the detail that Flapjack is luz's colors represent that he's one of the things that he wants
2:23 THAT detail of flapjack being gray was SO CLEVER. he is literally the transition between both sides
Love how even Lil’ Rascal goes with Hunter it stays Luz coloured really hits the point that a little bit of Luz’s side has stuck with him.

@@ednafernandes7704 because at the time I commented this we didn’t have Flapjacks name, so the fandom had taken to calling him Lil’ Rascal.
1:19 his face when he said "really its something" i feel this suits their characters so good. I know in the original it was meant to be sarcastic but im sure Hunter would absolutely love to discuss wild magic with Luz and Eda.

I love how at 1:15, Hunter is genuinely impressed by the glyph. Because yeah, it IS something and he knows it, but he also no he can't get it, so he's a little resentful and go back to his mocking persona that always reminds of the quote "I feel like I'm the worst, so I always act like I'm the best" which ... Gosh, it fits him.

MARINA! I've seen a lot of marina songs used for hunter animations and they really fit his personality. That quote especially tho is really fitting

This is so good. I absolutely love the animation and all the facial expressions you had of them. I love the kinda subtle face you did when Hunter said “can’t you see I’m doing fine” he has the mask on but when he takes it off his face says he’s not

The body language is great, too! The way he moved with the mask on gave me ideas of ow his face looked behind the mask.

Just love how you switch between Anna and Zach for Luz and Hunter. This is so well done and the concept fit them so well.

You know, I never figured people would make more animatics of owl house that don’t include Just Luz and Amity. I love this, this is genuinely gonna be one of my biggest favs I want to see more Owl House Animatics!
Literally when I was watching the beginning I was like “if they change the tracks from girl to boy I’ll cry” AND YOU DID!!!😭😭
I love how the images of Belos line up perfectly with “whiskey”, because it’s a popular belief in the fandom that Belos and his curse represent addiction and substance abuse and what comes from it, while Eda’s represents chronic mental/physical illness.

THIS WAS PERFECTION. I'd been imagining this scenario when listening to this song before but between the beautifully spliced together female and male versions and the amazing animations I was freaking out the entire time listening to/watching this. Like I can't even- AH. So good!

It almost feels as though the pitch difference between the two covers when put together is intentional. Especially in the beginning where luz gets cut off by hunter.

Oh my gosh. This is awesome! I really hope that we'll see Hunter go to "the Other Side" for a magical glyph sibling duet like the song's ending refrain.
Okay but can we also talk about how jarring the first transition to Hunter's piece is!!!! Which is absolutely to its benefit because it is a *RECORD SCRATCH* moment where he's cutting off the ramblings of this wild witch who isn't even a witch and doesn't know a thing! Hunter just takes the metaphorical mic and along with Luz we listen to what that commanding presence says. Only to peter down into the very opposite!

The music change fits so well as well because of the different tones of the songs. Luz’s part, the cover, is more upbeat and hopeful, and hunter’s part, the original recording, is more toned down and less upbeat to reflect each of their personalities. I’m not sure if that was intentional but I really like it.
At first I thought it was going to be Dr. Facilier's "Friend's on the other side" Amv. And I had NO IDEA how you would spin that.
