I, like most other Americans was very proud of the FBI growing up and up to about 2015. They (at the upper level) have driven to that fine institution into the ground.
When lawyers become the leaders of an agency that always happens. They drive it into the ground.

I’ve become more and more skeptical of the FBI as I’ve grown older. From the latest issues to Ruby Ridge to the Hoover days they have a lot to answer for.
We the voters have allowed our leaders to give them so much power which has at times helped protect us from the worst people inside and outside of our society, but unfortunately these powers can be bent to other purposes. We have created a dangerous weapon that can be used and has been used to serve the interests of people with unlawful and immoral intentions.

With the high prices of everything and the taxes we pay our houses are crumbiing too! Let's fix our own homes first, then give them something new, modest but workable. They don't need 300 million. Makes me sick. I can't believe they are even asking.

The "J. Edgar Hoover" building they are in was brand new and I believe they started moving into it in 1974 or 1975. They've been complaining that it is falling down since shortly after they moved into it. Why didn't GSA go after the builders?
