Why is it, if we move to another country we abide by their way of life, but if they come here we are supposed to adapt to theirs? It makes no sense, if they want to become Australian, then that must include Australian values, and should include basic understanding of who we are as a society, our rules and our moral compass. And that does not include woke political ideologies.
Skilled migration and migration in general needs to be looked into thoroughly. There are so many cases where people say they are qualified for a certain job / industry but that’s not always true. Many find a way to buy a certificate of qualification just to enter the country. I know of migrants from the 90s who came from Europe, genuinely and highly skilled who had to do more studying here so they can continue to work in their chosen field, it wasn’t just oh you have a qualification here’s the job like the government does today. Also, Australia used to have a multi-cultural society where different cultures got along but now that culture doesn’t exist. Too many “migrants” coming in who refuse to call Australia home like the rest of us do. They want everyone in society to fit into their social norm. That is not how Australia or any other country should be.
Why don’t you test last inmigrantes that already stopped our way of wishing merry Christmas for example, arguing we are discriminating themselves when they are the ones that discriminate our way of living as outsiders?
It's useless tightening the citizenship policies. We need to make PR harder, not citizenship. Because PR is the base leading to become an Australian citizen.
Well what about those Australian Citizens who were born in the former Australian Territory of Papua before independence day aren't they Australian Citizens.
But what if they don't want to become a citizen. My brother in law has been here since about 1990 and will not become a citizen. Of cause he is a muslim and he has as a dual passport one an Australian and his original country

I thought the same as you must be a citizen to hold an Australian passport but he will not become an Australian citizen. He travels overseas quite often even to muslim countries so I don't know. But I feel he has told family he has both passports as they are of English background and they all became Aussie citizens. They have been on him to become an Aussie citizen for some time. I agree with you must be citizen or only have one passport
