as long as you check out the sellers reviews and they are all positive you should be fine, the worst issue i've dealt with is mediocre packaging but even then it was not that bad, and ty :)

this video is old but i think i included a paypal tutorial? it is probably outdated though because they changed the service, it is now called shipstation so i am sure there are some tutorials about how to use it but media mail is an option at the post office as well, if you are sending something and ask to use media mail they should let you, they will just ask you a bunch of questions about if you are sending books etc

do you mean if you make your own shipping label? every package comes with a tracking number, you just type it in when you tell mercari that you sent the package. if you use the shipping options directly on mercari those all have tracking numbers provided as well (sorry if if misinterpreting your questions)

What if you still wanted to do the fedex smart post shipping and you typed in 2 lb but your package turned out to be 2.5 lb or more than that, would the package still be sent? I'm worried i'll do a wrong estimate of the weight since this is my first time selling/packaging and I dont have a scale. I just hope my package wont end up heavier than what I orignally inputed in the listing and then my package doesnt deliver to buyer :(
if your package ends up being more than the weight you input into the app they will just charge you the difference later, it has happened to me a couple times when my packages were like right on the dot in terms of weight or whatever, it’ll still send as long as it’s not WAY off like you put 1 pound but it was really 15,, you’ll just get less of the profit when the person rates you, mercari will take it off automatically
i’ve sold on facebook and i really prefer having an interface between me and the buyer, i’ve had too many instances where people ghost me or don’t know how to use paypal properly etc so this may sound cold but i’d rather lose a bit of money with the seller fees but know that all i have to do is send the package out and answer the occasional question

this video is outdated since paypal switched their shipping platform so it's kind of hard to explain but there should be a button to "create a custom shipping label" then on the drop down where you choose the mail type at the bottom it should say "edit presets" or something like that and you'll be able to make a "preset" for media mail, it's kinda tedious and you have to put the exact package size but hopefully this helps, let me know if this makes no sense lol
@@jovannyduran1889 yes you can use padded envelopes and no i’ve never had mail get lost with media mail, on the usps website it says it can take up to a month though so no promises that it will be fast but the packages will get there eventually unless there is an unusual circumstance like it falls off a truck or something

i've never sold manga on ebay just other items in the past and from what i remember you do get paid almost immediately after the buyer pays as opposed to mercari where you have to wait weeks potentially depending on the postal service to get your money, however i do think mercari is much more user friendly and easier to message sellers, ask them for deals, etc where as ebay hasn't updated their interface since i made my account in like 2009 so there's that,, it's up to you and what you are most comfortable with tbh (also mercari offers coupons and stuff quite often ilike $5 or $10 off randomly so that's cool)
