Thank you for your feedback Dal Oki. The University's PR Office was lucky enough to meet and interview Professor Crystal for his interview above and they said to let you know that he is just as charming and fascinating in real life! His modest genuine nature is a credit to the field of linguistics.

I love listening to Prof. David Crystal. He helps enhance my knowledge especially now that i am getting into my 300 Hour Tefl certification. Just ordered his Book on ebay and excited to receive it. Am already an ardent fan of his. So much to learn from his youtube videos and now his books that I will be ordering. I also just singed up for Babel Magazine membership! Knowledge is power and listening to him is like music to my ears :-) His son seems like a brilliant Kiddo!

He occasionally sounds a bit Welsh. Born in Northern Ireland. Wonder how that happened?

      Very interesting man.
His accent is easy on the ears and somewhat 'neutral' and his birthplace is Ireland - the North.
