I'm here doing Voodoo and trying to Get the Yankees to win again....They stopped playing this rally song in the stadium and that's another reason Yankees losing now
I am here because of my Granda and growing up around great music. From country to rock pop to dance granny and granda sure loved their music and still do. Roy and Margaret two legends.
I'm here because I love this song and the Who. I was a teen when this came out. It still rocks harder then the crap they put out today. Now GET OFF MY LAWN YOU DAMN KIDS!!
I was named after this song. My mom was working in a pizza cafe and this song came on. She really liked it. She asked what it was called and someone said “ Baba O’Riley by The Who!” and she thought “ hmm Baba O’Riley. Baby Riley. If I ever have a kid I'm going to name them Riley. “ Well here I am. Rylee ( she changed the spelling to be more unique 😐 but now everybody thinks “ riley “ or “ Ryleigh “
This was the perfect song (for stoned-out teenagers) in the early 70s..everything and everyone got quiet when this song came on!!..I still remember this song being played (at a girl catholic school dance @ Mount Saint Ursula in the Bronx, mid 70s) and me and my friends (again, stoned) they wouldn't let us in to the dance/we were the bad boys..we were standing in the parking lot not sure what to do (I'm sure we needed beers..YOU ALWAYS NEEDED BEERS!!😄)and this song came on..I remember everybody got quiet and listened real hard!!! (Sometimes it was painful.. realizing how much you are f*ckin up!!!)..That had to be close to 50 yrs ago!! Whenever I (rarely)drive by that school today..I always remember that night!! I make it a point to look into the parking lot (where we were standing) when BOR came on..today I'm clean and sober 31 yrs..the party is long over (thank you God!!!) Real animal addiction...is not pretty!! Believe me..👣

The world‘s been a pretty bleak place for the past two years so we could all do with a bit of fun, laughter and partying. Sending you hugs and best wishes and maybe, just maybe one day will get the pleasure to meet
I heard this song while i was in the kitchen doing my kitchen chores, and I had the classic rock station on because my hands were wet. I called up the DJ to ask him what song this was, and he said "Baba O'Riley by The Who". So, that night, I called around to all of the local stations asking them to play this song. Great night and even greater song.

What's amazing about this song, is most people believe that it's an anthem of sorts for getting wasted when in your teens(as I once thought).. but it's, in fact, a warning to such things.. I read an interview where they said that they wrote it after seeing the rampant acid use at Woodstock and how so many teens walked away with brain damage from it.. crazy how songs mean so much, to so many, meanwhile their interpretations and perspectives can be polar opposites

Rock on guy!!!
I can’t believe this song is 50 years old. It’s timeless.
I can't believe it either
Mind mildly blown
This gotta be one of the most epic rock songs ever made.
The electric organ intro is still ahead of its time! The Who is definitely a one of a kind band!
The whole song is ahead of it’s time bro, If I hadn’t read the comments I would of assumed this tune came out in the 80’s!
This is the coolest piano/keyboard intro ever.
I’ll respond to your comment a year later. You are absolutely right it is the best.!
Um electric base lol
Bat out of hell is cool too!
Sintetizador
I don’t know, seven seas of rhye has a pretty good intro as well. It’s short but pretty good.
I was 13 years old when I heard this song for the first time. Now I'm 65 and the feeling is the same. So many good memories!!
This is the best intro and rock'n'roll song in history 🙌
Just saw The Who last night in Denver and they were great! I can’t believe they are in their late 70’s.
The music back in this era will never be replicated in quality. Instruments had to be played back then!
I love the emotion they put into this song
If you’re here because you first heard this song on a movie or television show, welcome. Hope you enjoy it and hopefully you listen to more of The Who.
Absolutely!
I’ve listened to tons of great music, but this may take the cake as the most epic and beautiful song I’ve ever listened to
