They have said they are closer than family - they are together more and have gone through ups and downs together. I think Miku is writing about her band.
I love MISA's playing. Her bass tone is setting a new standard... and Akane's drumming is so distinguishable... and Kanami's solo... ahhhh! The recording and mix is good, too! Miku's lyrics are heartfelt. "I can't look into your eyes." Is Saiki her bestie? But Saiki masterfully delivers her lyrics, as always. BTW - The volume of lyrics and nuanced melodies she's committed to memory over the years is simply mind-blowing! Mikey did good at giving them his direction for the song, and probably helped with the English lyrics -- a good growth for Miku's craft. I don't understand why Kanami said she couldn't have come up with the main riff. Probably just her being super polite, as usual. I like the groove and feel of the song. I was waiting for, "I don't give a f**k" at the end. But maybe with these particular "Bestie" lyrics, that wouldn't be such a good idea. Even though at first listen it felt on par with Start Over It will undoubtedly do what every Band-Maid song does -- grow on you! Got to break through to the mainstream market with a few cuts, right? Hopefully Bestie helps with that! Thx, Band-Maid! And thanks, Dante!
About Kanami's rift maybe she was thinking doing something in other direction and that's why she said that. Or maybe like you say she is being polite. And yes I think that in this song If you go with all at the end would feel a little bad for how they did the song, this song was made for be softer. I don't think that is mainstream, simply that song needed to go in this direction for the lyrics and the composition, is like the song Memorable, the song is like that for meaning of the song and not bcs they wanted to do something mainstream. But that's only my opinion. Thank you for comment!😁
@@GAMESOFDANTE I don't think they write a song specifically to be mainstream. But as a writer of songs in my bands in the past, I know we wanted them to connect with as many as possible. But mostly to our fans or genre, and not just the MOR (Middle Of The Road) crowd. But you're right: the song dictates its own direction during creation. Thx!

Yes this is metaphorically describing their relationship with the fans. I can see this song becoming a set closer. It is now apart of the Smile, About Us, Memorable grouping of songs.
Another great Band Maid song and another awesome Queen Kanami solo!!! Thanks for your reaction.

Ohrenje has this sound with English lyrics. It is about the love from Miku to the other members. Some say to Saiki.
Thank you for the info!!!
The more I hear it, the more I like it! This is gonna be my tune in the car throughout the summer!
jajaja I feel the same! I hope they will release more songs for this summer
@@GAMESOFDANTE Heck yes!

There are two others that are all in English: The Dragon Cries and Don't Let Me Down.
That's true. Thank you for comment!
Don't Let Me Down is not 100% English. The verses do have a couple lines in Japanese, and they did not write that song either.
This is the first fully English song with the lyrics fully written by Kobato Miku 🕊️
@@bandmaidfanATL It's very cool to see how Miku is progressing with English.

Yes this can be an amazing closer for a show. And don't forget endless story, another one for that group of beautiful songs☺
👍👍Excellent. Love it. 🖖❤
