Can someone please explain to me WHY believers pray directly to Yeshua (Jesus)? Is there a scripture that condones or affirms this practice. I have heard individuals praying to Christ and then end the prayer with "in Jesus name" Who are you talking to man? Thanks.

If you drive on the wrong side of the road in America and have a head on collision with another vehicle, it's because you were NOT obeying the driving rules (laws) which the local, state and federal authorities have in place. Who did Jesus instruct true believers to pray to; him or our Heavenly Father? Hint: The Lords' prayer @@rocdajacable 🙏

Hey, Frederick. Here's some interesting teaching that will help you understand why it is ok and necessary that we pray to Yeshua/Jesus. One fundamental reason is that Jesus is God, He's part of the Trinity, as is the Holy Spirit. There are times that I pray to the Spirit to guide and direct me, and I pray to Jesus to give me strength. I also make it a habit to pray the Lord's prayer often to focus on reverence for our Creator. The Bible shares examples of praying to the Lord. "Paul also prayed to Jesus when he “besought the Lord” to remove his thorn in the flesh. Why do we believe that the reference to “the Lord” here refers to Jesus instead of the Father? In the Pauline epistles, the term “Lord” (kurios) usually signifies Jesus, while “God” usually denotes to the Father. And look at the response of Paul when the Lord said to him, “[My] strength is made perfect in your weakness.” Jehovah Witnesses don't pray to Jesus because they do not believe that Jesus is God. This is false, so praying to the Godhead is honoring to all three persons of the Trinity.

@@fredricmiller5587 Jesus is God, but not God the father. We pray to the father "In the name of Jesus." Now, the *vast* majority of Christians believe that that means to tack on "In Jesus' name, amen." at the end of every prayer. No. That is magic. To say a certain set of words in a certain order is to "cast a spell."
BUT we are to pray in His name. What does it mean?
I was an ICU RN. I often received calls from the lab reporting that a patient had a critical lab result. (Let's say a very low Potassium level.) Now, the law requires a physician's order before Potassium can be given to a patient. IV Potassium is extremely dangerous if any errors in dosage or administration occurs. Never - the - less, the situation is too critical for me to waste time calling the MD and waiting for the return call. SO, I would call the pharmacy and order the drug *in the name of* the MD.
AFTER I have started the IV dose, I go to the chart and write the order: "KCL 10meq in 100ml NS over 1 hour, repeat to a total of three doses. per S. lkjqhdef, MD/DSzucs/RN"
When the MD comes to the unit the following morning, I would hand her the chart and ask her to sign the order. She always signs it, thus taking legal responsibility for the order.
This is not only legal, but it would also have been a dereliction of duty to fail to do it that way.
      BUT:
      1) if I was a nurses' aide and I wrote that order I would be arrested for practicing medicine without a license.
*You CANNOT do anything (even expect a prayer to be answered) in the name of another unless you have the authority to use his/her name. Only the born-again have to authority to pray in the name of Jesus*.
      2) If I had ordered Chronulac instead of KCL I would have lost my license and could have been sued. The doctor would have refused to sign the order, because the order was NOT a thing she would have done.
*No prayer that is NOT in line with God's will can be accepted as "In the name of Jesus." It is not done in His name without it being what He desires*.
