I can not remember the year exactly I had the opportunity to watch her (Usha Utthup) live orchestra at Hirakud. She was so fabulous with the same type of attire as of today. Not to speak anything about the great legend SPB. Even after his passing away he lives in the heart's of mliions and millions. I pay my humble regards to this departed soul.

irony is she didn't get the recognition she deserved in the film industry due to various reasons best known to all of us but on the flip side she is ever green and popular and lively and respected, loved and adored by her fans world over for her sheer talent, her presence as epitome of indianness as SPB sir said and she electrifies the whole atmosphere with her audience engagement and interaction without those fancy lightings, half clad dancers mismatching and gyrating to the lyrics and sometimes even music. But hats off to you sitthi as my friend who is her nephew used to call and i was fortunate enough to meet her once when she had come to visit her sister who happened to be my friends mother in madras now chennai but i never saw her live show and thanks to youtube i am watching almost all her videos.
