'Flashez' Ear-Piercing Segment (1976)
Flashez was shown on the ABC and presented by 70s pop star Ray Burgess and Mike Meade. It ran for 30 minutes 5 nights a week from 2nd August 1976 to 2nd December 1977.

How it all started... When the piercing gun was still said to be more hygienic and safe, quite the opposite of todays alternative, when seeing a professional body piercer certainly is the better way to get it done...

I'm a guy who got his left ear pierced twice a few years later in the mid 1980's with this type of gun🔫 and then my right ear pierced in the 1990's again with the gun🔫 and never experienced any problems and still wear earrings in my 50's.
I think the gun🔫 method being a problem is over exaggerated. Millions have pierced ears using this method, with few ever experiencing any problems.
