Nightwave - Prince Of Flowers

We joyfully welcome fellow Glasgow denizen Nightwave to Optimo Music with this three track EP. A long time DJ, producer and label runner, it took just one listen to the transcendent "Prince Of Flowers" to know it was a great fit for the label. It's not unlike a 21st century reboot of something from Chris & Cosey's uber classic "Songs Of Love & Lust" album. Combined with two other, more jacking tracks it makes for an enticing EP. We asked Maya to tell us a little about the release and here’s what she said -
Prince Of Flowers EP is a part of my continuous exploration of tying together electronic production and club culture with my work and study with plant medicines and traditions of the Amazon rainforest. For the last few years I’ve tried to merge the energies, joy and melodies of the two worlds together and see where it takes me. Turns out it all comes from the same place and I’m so excited to share it with you on a label so very special to me.
