18:45 The best cockpit view in aviation youtube with that split screen, love it 👍 If the avionics were somehow in focus it would be perfection. Cool flight!
Yeah I agree this is a really novel and cool cockpit view. That dash is nuts. So much screen real estate. Love that the checklist is an inset on the PFD and the FPL is on that smaller screen so you get the full map on the MFD all the time. Much better than the G5 arrangement.
About time you add some good entertainment aka your daughter should be in more of your videos tell her that! Working on those HSI questions on the commercial man those are fun not! great video again Scott
a couple of reasons for not needing the SID... one is that they aren't using the north runways at Pearson so they don't need you out over the lake to avoid those approaches. Another minor reason might be because, in poor weather, there aren't any city tour flights coming in from west along the shoreline under the Bravo shelf like I frequently do. When they accept "VFR city tours" from the west, I know we can get in the way of takeoffs from R26 if those takeoffs go straight out "on the heading" and if we don't stay far enough over land and away from the water before we enter CYTZ control zone. But we like to hug the shoreline to avoid contact with YYZ, so the controllers are dealing with a narrow hallway combining east bound tours for downtown and west bound takeoffs off 26. A tidbit... in ancient days without the tunnel, we would land on the island, hop on the ferry, catch an major league game and head home without any fees; fun times. 🙄
How come you got the RCAP RNAV X Runway 26 Instead of RNAV Zulu Runway 26? You're not company traffic. Maybe force of habit for the tower? I think under the CARs you don't need a POC to land using RCAP but I can't remember.
Good video. Since the altitude and frequency is given in that departure plate, wouldn’t you still want it written down on the iPad craft anyways, just in case they don’t change it, or is it a given that it will be, and Also, why two sets of sunglasses on the flight there, lol.
Probably not a bad idea to write it down. I had both loaded in the system already, hence the reason I did not. Backup sunglasses, all about redundancy lol. No, the reason was because I have some better sunglasses for flying that fit under my headset better. The ones on the top of my head were from my car. I just kept them there 🤷🏻♂️
Scott, you mentioned at the beginning of the video the “lazy rudder boy” however I noticed YD was active, I ask this question as I’m currently flying the SR20 which after an hour of circuits my right leg is exhausted and I was looking forward to flying without the large inputs to the rudder, Is this me being also looking forward to becoming a “lazy rudder boy” as well 😅
@flying_scott I figured as much. I enjoy your videos very much, in particular, sharing that you don't know everything and learn more with every flight. You know what your limits are and respect them. I hope your daughter appreciates this.
Great video! G7 is drool worthy. I own the G5, flew the G7 the other day. My daughter just turned 19 and she is working on her commercial and we love to flying together (she’s a better pilot than me already…their young brains are super adaptive to the new avionics). I hope you can get your daughter working on her private/instrument. She would make a great Captain one day! Aviation is a wonderful profession.
@ I tell her she has a brain for flying, and she is convinced she could land it with no experience 🤣 but not sure she’s interested in perusing. I’m trying to get her to be a controller, she would excel at that.
It sounds like you have a great relationship with your daughter. I really enjoy your videos.

Thanks! I will be finding a solution for this, because I agree!

Dude. Already matched your last video's view count in less than 24 hours. Keep it up man.
I thought this was the simulator. Real. Even better. Lol. Great video. 😊
Love these videos to YTZ! Hope you enjoy the city when you’re in town

I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your reply, totally agree. Love your vids.

Love all of this! Thanks!
This was a fun video, Scott! "OK! JUST CHILL OUT ON THE SNACKS GIRLFRIEND" LOL😂😂😂😂
Who's in charge of snack choices? 😅
Dave-YXU
lol! The place I keep my plane has them refreshed every flight, it’s amazing

The 310 hp is a thigh killer, the YD can’t keep up on full power climb. You need to help it, and I was being lazy.
Who is the passenger?
My daughter
