Just catching up on my videos & I definitely wanted to get your cold sniff impressions. I’m just starting to warm the new scents & the harvest collection. The weather is still very hot here so it’s been a struggle. Hoping for autumn temperatures soon. I plan on jumping in with my thoughts on the new bars & the catalogue overall in the next couple of weeks. I love hearing your opinions you do such a great job describing things❣️
I’m most excited for Dashing of the new scents- seems like it’s everyone favorite. Glad you compared Midnight Mahogany to Vanilla Oud. I haven’t seen anyone else do that yet, and I was wondering if it would be similar based on how people were describing it.
I warmed Dashing in my office last night and omg it was so nice! It was a good performer for me too - the scent drifted out into the hallway. Sweet and sophisticated!
I think Golden Garland smells nearly identical to Autumn Road Trip.I sniffed them side-by-side and the only difference my nose could pick out was Autumn Road Trip was slightly sweeter.
I find this pretty interesting. I made the connection to perfect pumpkin pear when I smelled Fall Feelin', I also agree with cedar cider on that one. However With Golden Garland, I got more Cider Mill. I just got the testers this time.

I have warmed through my bar of Dashing and I think you will be okay with it! I don’t get a harsh cologne note. There is a lot of sweetness from the vanilla that is lovely and intoxicating. I started to pick up more of the mahogany on day 2. It still did not smell very cologne-like, but it did make the tone a bit deeper and richer. I did like it more on day 1 when the sweet vanilla was fresh. It has been a great performer for me too. It filled my office and wafted out into the hallway. I hope you will enjoy it!

I’m becoming very tired of Scentsy. I’ve sold Scentsy for almost 12 years. The scents are becoming very weird, VERY perfumey, don’t last very long, and a huge lack of bakery scents. I also feel like since Heidi and Oroville are on their leave, Scentsy seems to be struggling in a lot of ways. Hope things turn around. I’m always excited for the Fall/Winter catalog, but this time I’m very “meh”
I totally understand… I feel like by the time they add all the different scent notes, everything does end up smelling very similar and perfumey like you said. Less scents are smelling unique and innovative to me, and sometimes I get a sad feeling that the majority of the best scents are behind us 😞. My husband and parents have commented on this too. Maybe when Heidi and Orville come back, they can start focusing more on quality vs quantity (although I have worried they won’t come back in the same capacity as before). I have found it interesting how much they’ve slashed the bakery category and body care lines. I also think it’s interesting how many licensed products end up in the clearance section. I will keep holding out hope though because I love Scentsy and hope it will spark the same excitement for me that it did when I first starting buying it.
@@Carrie_F agree in so many ways! I think you’re right about them probably stepping back in the future. I think they really need to bring it back to the basics of what made the company so popular in the first place. I remember back in the day, they used to have a section called “the classics”. Scents that were always in every catalog, no matter the season. And I’m shocked about them cutting back on bakery scents!! I mean, that HAS to be the most popular category I would think!?! Just very confusing stuff happening there. I don’t know about the market for these high profile partnerships like Disney and Sports, as they do end up on clearance. I think they just need to simplify and like you said “focus more on quality rather than quantity”

Yes you are right - they smell very very similar! I decided that I am not a big fan of the tangy pear note in Autumn Road Trip
