This is the first mute I purchased when I returned to playing. I'm amazed that you just taught me new ways to use it. You are an inspiration . Thank you.
Exxxcellent video. I was searching for a mute for months and the manifacturers themselves are not even demonstrating the sound quality of their mutes. I just learned a lot of things about mutes in this 8 mins, and can confidently buy a mute now!
I've been playing and experimentkng with my new Denis Wick Adjustable Cup mute for a few days now. I have to say I'm totally impressed with the varety of great sounds you can get out of this mute. You are quite correct when you say that the colors and qualities of sounds you can create with this mute, using the mute as you describe, is very wide. I agree, it could easily be called the 7 in 1 mute, but actually I think it might be called the 8 in 1 or even the 9 in 1 mute! You could really get away with having this as your only mute on a lot of band gigs if you really needed to. I have to say that this mute is worth the reasonable price asked for it to just use it as a practice mute. I have to practice in a small house with neighbors right on the other sode of the wall. It is by far the best sounding and easiest blowing "practice mute" I've ever tried AND on top of all of that, it's very quiet. If other practice mutes are driving you nuts with weird register drop outs, sketchy intonation and gross response and blowing charactertics, you should try this mute as a practice mute. I do not think you will be disappointed!! 'Thank you' to Trumpet HQ for posting such a clear and interesting review of this mute. I am so happy that you inspired me to try this Denis Wick Adjustable Cup Mute.
I watched this great video a few weeks ago and so I finally ordered one of these Denis Wick Adjustable Cup mutes and it arrived today! I can't want to try it! Your video made this mute seem so cool, useful and fun! You sound great playing on it!!
As a Louisiana native ⚜️⚜️I been digging into my Pocket Trumpet a lot more and spending less time on the laptop production with music and I gotta be honest you’re videos have opened up that Jazz side in me 😂I’ve been trying to play along with some of the old Barry White “White Gold Album “ and his Orchestra Thanks for the Tips 🫡🍻⚜️⚜️
Love it! Good luck getting back into it. If you’re ever looking for a course or lessons I’m happy to help or guide in the direction you want to go. Https://www.trumpetheadquarters.com
Hi mam i have wish to learn trumpet cource from you .. if possible online .. I have watched your many videos .. your teaching is very nice and gentle.. kindly let me know details.. i am from west bengal.. Thank you Mam
💀💀💀 I just got super busy with my online trumpet course! I have a little more free time now while my flexibility workshop gets going. I’m trying to post more! Thanks for still being around 🥰
I like the way you speak. You use adjectives in your speech to describe sounds or what you are portraying, and your trumpet tone is phenomenal which backs up these illustrations. I do like this all-in-one mute u r demonstrating, but I am a novice when it comes to using my phone for videos. However, now that I can do it, I am looking forward to many of ur videos. I am so excited that I found you. You are a teacher that anyone can connect to, imo. You have an ability that makes students comfortable, & a rapport that eases our learning minds to stay in tuned for more greatness.

Excellent video! I had never thought of using it as a wa-wa in the way that you demonstrated, that’s a new one to me! So helpful!

A great demonstration ! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The best review of this cup mute this far. Leaning toward buying one for sound color purposes. Also, I think it will help when you live with roomates
Thanks! Definitely would help in a roommate situation. Both to play softer and to throw it at them for daring to complaint about your playing.
Hello, i did not try your warm up exercise yet, im busy 😭but i read it and it's so amazing. Thank you very much.
Awesome!!
Great review of all the possible uses! How is the intonation in all of the forms?
It’s excellent. Seriously. Really superb. I adjust my main tuning slide just a tiny bit and I’m good to go! That’s normal when using mutes.
Definitely buying this
Cool Mute! You sound great!!
Do you know of Trombonists that use their cup mute like 5-6 ( at 5:00, flugelhorn-ish, 5:38 wah wah)? Probably too big and long (to reach).
I have this one!
Fabulous
🙌🙌🙌
