Im a drummer and have many a musical discussion with musical peers but never felt respected for my preferences in music. So once i decided to ask my band mates what their favourite harmonica performance was and thenresponse were blue standards from 70s rock groups. They asked me for mine and i told them Stevie wonders playing on there must be an angel. A long fave of mine for its fluent , spritely and rather celebratory phrasing. My opinion of this transcription performance as played by the gentleman in this video? Perfect! Yes the notes are accurate and previse, even the dynamics and ornamentations and attack and syncopation are spot on. But if the spirit was even missing a slight i would not call this perfect. But it is perfect! Amazing and actually incredibly impressive to pull off a perfect covering of the original. Actually, this isnt a transcription or cover, its properly described as a recapturing. Im blown away. And too also love the tagging of the second solo played in the somgs fade out, the record kind of fades that out which i never liked. You have it retained here in full glory. top notch playing and i cannot express enough appreciation for how well you play this solo. Youve technique and talent but your hidden less obvious skill you demonstrate here is your musical ear! You deserve praise for this performance. One last thanks for the written transcription. I was planning to try learn it on the piano, right hand melody. Youve saved me hours of trying to write it out myself haha. Great job
Backing track courtesy of yours truly! Dave Smith OB6, Waldorf Microwave and acoustic piano.. Pat, our harmonica host, on drums - and boy can he play them..
Since you played with a Suzuki Sirius 56, is it a cross tuned or a straight one? I have an SCX 48 & 56 and I'm thinking of getting a Sirius 56 ( either a straight and/or a cross tuned) I'd like to know how well you like them.
its the cross tuned / long slider - havent tried a stright one - but prefer the layout of the cross tuned as its similar to the hohner 64 or scx which i am familiar with
If I could play just one thing on harmonica, and if it took a year of practice, this is the piece I would want to play. But I haven’t even a clue what harmonica to buy
Merci d'avance
This is the cleanest playing of this song I've ever heard/seen in my life EVER!
And I mean EVER!
You are exceptional!
Thanks Richie, glad you like it

Wow, thanks. What sort of harmonica were you playing?
Why can't I do this argh...
What means "+" sign right after number? For example: "6+". It's slide for a half tone up with button?
Do you teach pls?
Amazing! Which harmonica model did you use?
Thanks, it’s a Suzuki Sirius 56

Hi, what chromatic model ?
If I could play just one thing on harmonica, and if it took a year of practice, this is the piece I would want to play. But I haven’t even a clue what harmonica to buy
Start with a Suzuki SCX 48, or for something cheaper an EASTTOP Forerunner
Will you be doing the last part aswell
The outro solo is included 👍
@@thesteviesoloseries3598 lol posted that before I looked at the sheet music
Muy pausado!
What kind of harmonica is that called
Chromatic harmonica key of C

Thankyou 🙏 for the tab, any number in ( ) is draw, without is blow. The + means slider in. Hope that helps
@@thesteviesoloseries3598 thanks
Il faut un charmonica chromatique 12 ou 16 trous?Merci
@@didierdivin6936 either works well, the lower octave is rarely used on these Stevie solos
