I would love to do something like this, steal the ship while they are inside doing their mission, then when they come out and say "Help, my ship disappeared, can someone come pick me up?" go and rescue them IN THEIR SHIP and see if they notice.

my friend once set his spawn on some random dude's Carrack and lived there for like a week, much to the annoyance of the other guy. he kept killing my friend, and my friend just kept respawning in the ship lol

I used to do this a lot, I'd get on the small section on top of the ship that has gravity, wait for the ship to leave the armistice zone and then I'd shoot open the door to get inside. It was fixed shortly after they released the Carrack but I had some really funny moments

This right here. Like getting the notification someone joined the channel if I forget my ramp down at a bunker and somebody decides to go inside the ship.
my first day playing a couple days ago i snuck into someone's hangar elevator and i dont think he noticed me so i followed him to his ship and while he was admiring the outside i ran in the ramp and yoinked that sh*t. truly grand theft auto in space. haven't finished one mission yet.

Ive only played for a couple of weeks. But everytime i run to my ship my head is on a swivel. Paranoia is your friend. Open the ramp and keep checking, then get in and close it like someone is running for it. Simple. Helps when you only have a piceies aswell lol

The Vanguard ships, in my opinion, are some of the worst in the game. They have no cargo space, and they're really basic, yet massive. I feel like they're just wasted potential. They could've been epic drop ships.
It would have been funnier if you didn't kill him and just took off with him on the ground. Leave him standing there watching his ship fly away like "WTF."
Stumbled across Star Citizen vids maybe a week ago, as IRL motor racing (Le Mans) made me want to try a racing game. Was thinking I want to be a super villain in Star Citizen and up popped your video. Sloppy. But a master villain in the making! Wish could join you! That was as enjoyable as BedBananas mission vid! Haha just watched Mandalorian S2E1 last night. WTF. The algo is creepy as hell?!

I'm not a fan of pad rats, but this guy was pretty clueless. I have a saved camera position for every inch of my ship that I cycle through like security cameras

Would be cool if there was a bay at grim hex you could take stolen ships to scrap em.
There are breakers/junkyards around stanton. At least one at each planet. They could let us sell the junked ships there. And it would help clean the servers up too.
@Ash Rackham i only say grim hex cause its the "outlaw" station.
Movement, controls, and animations look horrible for how much money they spent on this game.. Does anyone else feel like this is the biggest scam in gaming history or do you people not care and like it anyways?
It's great not a scam at all. I was a skeptic at first but there is already so much to do in game I have my moneys worth. I do agree it lacks polished and movement does look erratic but overall it's a great experience imo.

You can claim it back on insurance so it doesn't matter too much

Barely any players in star cit8En are toxic. There's some pirates but we are just playing a roll. If you want to stear clear of pvp you can do it easily.

You have a lot to learn and steal like a sloppy amateur. But it's good to see someone else bringing light to the stealth aspects of the game. When 3.18 drops.. This will be the most profitable profession in the game when used correctly. I plan on releasing hundreds of hours of footage of the skills necessary for this art that I've been hoarding since 2015. I just need to master some editing software that I'm not very proficient at at the moment.

@@H.O.D.S this profession will be the most profitable next release. Especially when they make cargo profitable again. I used to steal ship in the Bezdeck days when loads were worth about 3 million. But all you could do then is extortion. Basically pay money or else we fly your ship and it's 2.5 mill of laronite into an asteroid. Now you will actually be able to take it all for profit.
@@H.O.D.S You need to master the art of just sneaking up right behind them on the elevator. I call this "The Art Of Shadow". Because you follow them like a shadow. It use to be harder back before you could read the elevators. You actually had to sneak behind them in the elevator. But now you could just read the pad they go to and follow them.

A question, since i haven't played star citizen yet i wanted to know what happens when your ship get stolen like this, can you somehow re-call it back to you or what?

@@Kyle-sr6jm How does that work? It seems like a way to give a friend a free/cheap ship. How do they prevent people exploiting this? I don't play this game yet but I might if I see enough gameplay to convince me it's worth sinking money into.
Once a "stolen" ship is claimed at a terminal, the owner gets a new ship and the old ship is flagged as being stolen and will remain red even if no-one in the ship has a crimestat.
what do you do with the ship after you steal it? nothing ?
you can keep using it for whatever you like now in 3.18 everything except hauling

Nope he can make a claim and the ship gets replaced
(Not a report to the Devs but a lore friendly claim to the in game company)
he gets it back on insurance by calling it from the station so no real loss
This is exactly, why I have no interest in Star Citizen. The moment they announced "PvP Boarding actions", I knew this isn't for me. Things like internal sensors with "intruder alert", or internal defense systems, to the most basic thing: authorization for your ship's systems/controls ? All ignored to give some griefer a moment of achievement?
There are many ways to prevent being boarded you can check your ships in game comms to see if another is in channel. Ensure you close your ramps asap. And if you want to stick it to the boarded self destruct your ship. But overall it's not very common in star citizen and if you want to be a law abiding citizen it is very easy to ignore and steal clear of pirates

This game is a never ending story.
They want too much instead of having a good base to release and play and expand later.

Waiting to get a new pc for this game im still running a dinosaur 1050 ti but she works well for some games but i want me a 3080 or there abouts something to handle these beautiful games

This is what makes me want to play :p but a lot of the community likes pve so if you want to pve it's easy to ignore this gameplay if you just take simple cautions

It's the thrill of the chase it's like a joy ride. With next patch will w possible to steal cargo too so profit will be valid

@@H.O.D.S you need nades for Vanguard to get them out of the seat. Another trick you can do is keep opening the utility modules behind the seat until he hears it and gets up out of the seat to see what's going on and then you blast them.
I did this one single time by following someone onto their ship.. and then had such a guilt complex that I couldn't bring myself to kill them and simply alt+f4'd out the game as I realised I was becoming that which I hate the most.. a griefer.
Hm I do see your perspective but I was doing it to test the ship and try a ship I had no access too. I think if you do it without reason then yes it's low
I mean you are free to play the game how you want.. it’s open world.. I am not judging. But I just realised that for me getting griefed can be really frustrating and I figured I couldn’t do that to someone else.
and this is why its hard to trust people in this game. I use to love taking out people on my ships, new folks and all. then i met A holes like this guy and now i am a stranger danger kind of guy. New people get shot first then questions next. Thanks for being apart of the wonderful griefers
there is plenty of nice people still but what makes star citizen great is that this can happen . if this couldnt happen it would be very boring imo

There is no loss you call it back in 5 minutes with insurance. And simple ways to stop it. Just close your ramps and check your mobile glass for player on board comms. I think its fine if you can prevent it. I see where you are coming from but the fact is star citizen doesn't have any real loss at this time.

It’s not the fact of “OMGERD close your ship” it’s the fact you are griefing and attacking people for no reason. You are the problem, not the game bucko.
