Thank you Mike. This is what making a difference looks like. Financial and material assistance means very little if there aren't people helping put it to use where it matters. Here in Finland we have a lot of workers and families from Russia, plus tens of thousands of Ukrainian refugees. If I could provide one bit of thought that would make my little difference, it would be to for people to remember that the Russian people are not the same thing as the Russian state. The way through is always going to be with the people.

    • @MikeBrowne

I couldn't agree more. I have Russian friends who get so much hate directed at them from around the world as they risk their lives denouncing their country's actions. ... MIKE🙏😊

If every day people kept it in their hearts and minds just to do one simple effortless thing that raised the spirits of another than spend endless effort to crush it, the world would be a very different place. You're carrying the effort of a thousand good people with your humanist charitability Mike, thank you. Truly, thank you.

It's just so that people are having to go to these lengths because of the madness we are seeing. |It's humbling to watch. If videos like this made it to main stream media, perhaps the reality of what is happening would reach more people, and 'our' government would be shamed into helping more families trying to escape the war.

Thank you for thinking of them. It's heart breaking - and this is just one of many wars happening on our world. So sad. If you are in a position to help these poor people you can make a donation to the agency I worked with. They're called Ukraine Relief and I've linked their website below. ... MB

It broke mine @Zoe Zach, but the wonderful people I met along the way mended it again. Have you seen this video about one of them?... MIKE

These people are genuine refugees and in need, its upsetting knowing that our hotels are full of economic migrants making out there refugees where our resources could help these people out a lot more if we stopped the boats from safe France and delta with that problem properly. I have made a personal donation of £500 which is all I can spare to a charity to help the Ukrainians. The people doing good to help deserve a medal for what they do.
