Nobody has ever complained over where a tornado siren was placed in my county. The reason it was put there is so they could hear it incase they are in an actual tornado warning and cant hear the siren if their outside. It may vibrate that bedroom ceiling when it rotates but if it gets too loud like if they have sensitive ears they could always buy headphones and they would be prepared when ever it was activated for a test or a severe storm. Too late for all that as they took the siren for granted.
In the UK, we don't have any warning sirens apart from flood sirens and near industry and navy complexs. So whole population demands on their mobile phone: that if it works and is kept update. Apart from television and radio, that give out warnings. It would nice have a warning sirens system as back up.
I'm late to this one so don't know the outcome but I'm gonna give my opinion anyway.... I say move it as far away from her house as possible so she's the last to know when disaster strikes. And after the derecho we had last August they are even more greatfull for the close proximity sirens
Lol, that’s nothing. My entire childhood was spent having to hear or be woken up by my volunteer fire department’s 1960s STL-10 Siren that was active 24/7 for EMS and Fire Calls. The walls/windows in the house would shake and vibrate every time it was activated by County Dispatch.

Very naughty of them to have put the siren so close to the Dallas family's house. It makes there house untidy and as it states the siren sounding at 90-130 Decibels well a person would loose their hearing especially with it that close.
Once a siren is put in that spot, it won't be a while until the 2001 will be moved and besides. Uninstalling them and reinstalled them in different places isn't easy at all. It's not like the entire thing is on the pole and all of the sudden it's up, they literally attach the controls and siren head to the utility pole during the process of installed the siren.

Dallas has even had a hacker hack the tornado sirens.
Who cares. She's calling it "embarrassing" which means she doesn't care about being safe. If they didn't install it where they did since they have maps of where it would be best, that's where they had to put it. And her saying they should move it a street over that's still loud and disturbing, she shouldn't be complaining. Also if there's a siren right there, she's complaining about it being embarrassing and that shows that she cares for no one but herself.

I would do anything to live near a Tornado Siren, but it would be even better if it was a Thunderbolt! Still, I would keep my weather radio just to be safe.
I would pay to have a 2001 in my front yard. Idc how loud it is and its a true FACT that and you chose to put her bedroom there next to the siren. YOU CHOSE TO PUT HER BEDROOM THERE. even if she chose herself, its still a dumb thing to complain about had you let her choose or chose for her. Even if it was there before, YOU CHOSE TO MOVE INTO THAT HOUSE. NOBODY CHOOSES WHERE YOU LIVE. so like, if you’re gonna complain about the noise, and where you put your daughter’s bedroom, the closest one to the siren, well, its mostly your fault. nobody chose the bedroom unless your daughter chose it herself, but if you knew, which you should have already known the first DAY you moved in that the siren was towering over your driveway because of how tall it is and yet you are “oblivious” to it acting like its a ghost and then when it goes off you wanna complain. i dont care how loud it is cause i actually heard a 2001 in alert mode a couple weeks ago myself, and ive heard tons of train horns and yeah they’re loud and if thats what bothers you thats ok, i hear loud noises all the time but once again she LITERALLY chose to put her daughter’s bedroom in there, and ive also seen people complaining about train horns blaring in quiet zones, the same thing in this scenario. the person telling the news reporter about how loud the train is mentioned her daughter’s bedroom, and what do you know? its the closest to the tracks. and once again as you can see by my pfp, i hear train horns all the time and they’re loud of course but if you get used to it they’re not loud to you at all even without noise canceling headphones, and if im making this long “essay” for nothing, so what? This person clearly wants to complain and try to make them do something. Oh well just wait until an EF-5 hits your home and you dont have any siren near you. then youll be sorry you ever contacted the news. and dont be an idiot like this person.
Them saying they were giving no information, but they weren’t home, they said they pulled up and saw it there, so the workers probably knocked on there door but they weren’t home

As the video mentions when the Siren goes off making the wailing sound it has a sound level of 90 to 130 decibels which can cause permanent hearing loss within 2 minutes being so close to the house
@@stephensnell1379 2001 aren't actually 130 decibels federal signal lied because if you want a loud siren it gonna be the P-50. 2001 are really around 120 decibels at 100ft.
How can you complain about this, if it ever has to go off anyway, you probably wont be thinking about how noisy it is, youll probly be trying to take shelter.
You will be annoyed by it until you get a tornado and it saves you
I agree with the residence
Well then move out.
You thought hearing loss was problematic? Window replacements might be in your future because of your windows exploding from being unable to hold back the massive amount of sound pressure spewing out of that siren in all directions
Exactly no window would stand up to that much noise
It's embarrassing ? Lol KAREN!
I honestly would love it if I saw a Federal Signal 2001-130 all of a sudden standing in my yard lol
Bro I’d die to live next to a siren
Better safe than sorry
I will love to have one by my house, This people are pathetic.🤦
Nobody has ever complained over where a tornado siren was placed in my county. The reason it was put there is so they could hear it incase they are in an actual tornado warning and cant hear the siren if their outside. It may vibrate that bedroom ceiling when it rotates but if it gets too loud like if they have sensitive ears they could always buy headphones and they would be prepared when ever it was activated for a test or a severe storm. Too late for all that as they took the siren for granted.
I would love a siren right outside my house. Used to have one about 1500' from my apartment used to go stand right under it lol
This is a sirens fan dream
In the UK, we don't have any warning sirens apart from flood sirens and near industry and navy complexs. So whole population demands on their mobile phone: that if it works and is kept update. Apart from television and radio, that give out warnings. It would nice have a warning sirens system as back up.
We had them but the govt removed them to save money 🙄
FYI Sentry Sirens are louder than Federal Signal sirens
Definitely. They are much louder, especially the Sentry 15V1T. It is basically twice the volume of a 10V
HOLY KAREN! OMG IM SO EMBARRASSED, I MIGHT HEAR THIS THING AND NOT DIE FROM A TORNADO!
I'm late to this one so don't know the outcome but I'm gonna give my opinion anyway.... I say move it as far away from her house as possible so she's the last to know when disaster strikes. Shame the neighbours will have to suffer too, but tbh they may be better off sucked in to a twister than living next door to someone like that.... 🔊
honestly id love a siren in my front yard i woudnt be embarrassed about it at all
in Ann Arbor, MI, Washtenaw County, there is a siren across the street from residential areas at Paige and Jewitt Aves, I live right by there; thank god I have breathing room
This had to be a joke story right? I would jump for joy if a siren was that close to my house...and one was.... sure saved lives!
I would actually be cool with a siren close to my house...but not that close.
James Spann needs to see this. He is the biggest critic of sirens in the USA. He says most people don't hear them and they only reach a limited number of people and that's it.
Good luck ever getting him to admit he might be wrong.
Got one in town that's right in someone's front yard next to the driveway.
Josh Rhodes same x2
That is so bizarre!! Did they even know this woman’s house was here
Seeing this and I see the city of Minneapolis MN put a couple of thier Vortexes very close to homes and even at a bus stop along a city street on the corner
Over in my hometown of cedar Rapids iowa we have many whelen 4004s that are less than 250 feet from the nearest house and theres even two that are only a quater mile apart from eachother and the only complaints I've seen from residents is the sirens not going off enough for severe storms approaching.
That seems at one point awful and at one point awesome
we have a siren that’s just across the street behind our water tower and if you wanna know what siren it is it is a Federal Signal 2001
but before that it was a Thunderbeam
Im with them on that. It would tick me off as well. Thats too close.
So the city moves it then they piss and moan because they can't hear it...
I would love that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very naughty of them to have put the siren so close to the Dallas family's house. It makes there house untidy and as it states the siren sounding at 90-130 Decibels well a person would loose their hearing especially with it that close.
I don’t think you know how sirens work.
Yeah, a emergency siren that tries saves people is clearly *TOO* embarrassing.
Ignorant rich people, complain about a Siren well let’s put sirens all round there home. 😂😂😂😂
@-にとって Oh shut up. They can deal with it. Its a fucking siren, And these kinds of sirens can not cause hearing loss.
@Pastel Bunny o stop the only time they would here the sirens is when they have to test it or a tornado warning.
Make sure to keep the baby’s window open on a storm night😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I figure that one should be deactivated until a solution can be found.
For the people who ignore tornado sirens
Sounds like people who move next to a train crossing and expect them not to blow their horn...
You guys are going way too far calling her a "Karen", imagine spending millions on property and the next thing you know the government out of nowhere devalues your property by thousands in an hour. The whole "Oh I would love to live next to a tornado siren" No you wont! And even if you did, good for you. but not everyone and the fact that you just judge her over it is ridiculous.
In New England we have been getting significantly more tornadic storms one flew through my yard and knock down trees destroyed my neighbor's fence and we had no power for days I want one of these next to my house
I would do anything to live near a Tornado Siren, but it would be even better if it was a Thunderbolt! Still, I would keep my weather radio just to be safe.
That's some *BS.* They couldn't put it further down the street??
Good grief. It’s embarrassing? Talk about entitlement. It’s not about you lady.
If a Tornado Warning is issued they'll be the first to know thanks to that siren in the yard
siren head comments were worse but this?
whole new level...
Them saying they were giving no information, but they weren’t home, they said they pulled up and saw it there, so the workers probably knocked on there door but they weren’t home
To be honest I would be pretty grateful to have that i’m interested in all of that and I would not feel embarrassed but maybe after a while I’ll change my mind if that was in right next to my house
I would celebrate it if I had a siren at my house
Its aN eYE SOaR i say there an eye sore 😎😂😂😂😂😂
American English words are pronounced different to British English words
@@stephensnell1379 ???
Its "embarrassing". Its a goddamn siren.
You would think that they would be used to loud noise as this is right next to a fire station.
ThatRandomguy02 my question is, why didn’t they put it on the fire station property, I’m pretty sure 20 feet doesn’t make much of a difference in coverage, but it will definitely make a difference in wether or not someone gets hearing damage from it.
They now have a morning alarm.
The alarm :
So did they move it 🤔
Oh geewizz,, wake up in time, sirens alert people for a reason. It's called emergence!
Except they test these monthly and it can cause hearing loss.
