Siri Singhasan e Khalsa Gurdwara, Espanola, New Mexico, USA
In the lecture entitled, "Communicate the Nobility," in the "Light of the Shabad Guru" series, the Siri Singh Sahib explores human communication. Among many of the fascinating points he makes, he lists 6 questions to ask oneself to ensure noble communication:
    1. Do I communicate to affect the nobility?
    2. Do I communicate to raise the nobility?
    3. Do I communicate to establish the nobility?
    4. Do I communicate to feel the nobility in my reality?
    5. Do I establish the communication between us in the reality of nobility?
    6. Is the perspective that is between us that is always noble and real?

I am a slave to my ego, my lethargy, my desires...I pray for the Grace of the Guru to drop all these slaveries and become a slave and servant of the Guru's Word.

Is there time for kundalini yoga and the Sikh path in a householder life? Or should a person choose one path? Because I don't see how there is room for both.

In my opinion the Yoga I believe is not the same meaning which was performed by Sidhs at the age of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which was used by sidhs to increase their age by not using sawaas. The modern Yoga term is more in sense of exercise to stretch your muscles and balance of body.

It is no small task but one that many people make a commitment to, and practice kundalini yoga as one of the ways that we prepare and purify the body to honor and bring the Naam, the Gurbani, into it. Blessings on your journey.

Good question Tejbir Singh. I myself am learning all about Kundalini yoga as on my way to becoming a certified lvl 1 Kundalini Instructor. I am also very interested in Sikhism as a way of life as Yogi Bhajan and Sikh international group explains it to be. In my 12 month experience of the world of Sikhism, which I believe Kundalini to be a vehicle to access the Sikh way of being by preparing and opening the mind and body to connect with God (our soul). Through practicing this Dharma you can and will experience the infinite in the finite (our human body) and to experience the connection with God consistently through an experience of pranayama (breathwork), kriya (a set of yoga movements which focus on a particular body system and their related chakras ie adrenals and kidneys or heart opening) and finish with a meditation which can incorporate intention setting, visualisation, mudra and mantra (chanting) Naad (sound current) designed to balance the mind and body and open the space for the soul to settle within the finite opening I to thou and the higher consciousness and state of being. It is a really great experience which will take you on a journey of transformational change - as it is known as the yoga of awareness. Sat Nam Wahe Guru

I think for each person it kinda fits into your life how it’s supposed to… like u may begin with the physicality of KY but then merge into learning a musical instrument. and that becomes your “yoga”. The outside of it changes.
