You missed one item that I'm really hard pressed to find on your gear list. You had an extendable bracket that you put your tablet into, then hooked that up to the tripod. Where can I get that extendable bracket for the tablet as I have a 10 inch tablet?
You've had so much success since this video and that makes me so happy. This is my first of your videos that I've watched and I thought you were some big RUclipsr because of your stunning quality and then you say that all you have is 410 subs. It's humbling and so so refreshing to see someone who doesn't do it for the number of subs rather than the quality of the video
The intent of the Tribord (as many others have noted here) is to make it easier for kids and those who feel claustrophobic with a conventional mask/snorkel. As a lifelong scuba diver, it is pretty obvious this isn't a mask you'd want to go deep enough to equalize with -- it just won't work. And no, not everyone wants to dive below a couple of meters. Many are happy to just enjoy the view from the surface. My wife loves to snorkel but has always had problems with traditional mask/snorkel setups. We got one for her and it has worked brilliantly for a year now -- fog free, easy to breathe -- all the things the company legitimately claims. We live in Thailand so go snorkeling fairly regularly. From our perspective as long-time users -- two thumbs up.
Agree Rick, this is meant for kids and surface dwellers more than anyone else. Interestingly their photo of demonstrated usage on their website shows under the surface use: www.wildhornoutfitters.com/products/seaview-180-full-face-easybreath-snorkel-masks that may be where confusion begins?
Agreed -- the only thing I would point out is that the photo you show isn't Tribord's, but rather Wildhorn's. The photo at the Tribord official site shows people (and children) all on the surface. www.tribord.co.uk/snorkelling-masks-and-snorkels-idfam1671 I think the rule of common sense should apply here, and sadly many don't apply that rule often enough :-)
if you don't want to share all you have to do is use Vaseline on your beard! in times of war or training that's what we use for our gas masks in the U.S. Military!
Around the nose area they could use a flexible plastic or something so that you can equalize while keeping it 360, With the anti fog thing Id say that they shouldnt put it on the box because every mask is gonna fog up eventually unless your talented. give a like if you agree
I totally agree with this man. They could easily have made the plastic malleable around the nose piece. Weird they didn't!! I liked because of this comment :)
Try "tribord easybreath" also available in Australia. I use this model since End of 2013. Bought in France from the first company trading that new kind of 180 degrees Mask. No fog. Never. No Spit. I swam hundreds of hours with it. Snorkeling in Mauritius, in Maldive, in Martinique ..and in my pool for cleaning job. No poisoning or whatever you can read in the comment ( 2 separate vents with valves for it and out flow and that also why you have no fog). Perfect for cruising on the surface and for the whole family. Really great. Just make sure you order the right size.
Yeah I was in discussions with Tribord to make a review of their Easybreath mask but the conversation stopped on their behalf. Glad you enjoy yours K2020 :)
To be fair, I said it's not really a huge problem and the mask is advertised as anti-fog. After one use I would suggest the fogging isn't the issue with this mask.
Beance Tubaire Voluntaire (BTV) or Voluntary Tubal Opening is the preferred method of equalization once mastered. It feels very much like a yawn and a difference in tonal quality of sounds will be noticed when successful. The muscles of the upper throat are used to pull open the Eustachian tube.
For those of you considering getting a full face mask, there have been some concerns in parts of the world as to their safety e.g. carbon dioxide inhalation. It appears that a number of countries are looking at this issue, Australia amongst others.
Thanks David :) It's good for everyone to be informed. I did cover one particular safety concern I have on these masks in this video: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
GivesAMinute I used to record my tv and just crop out my room but now I have a recording software for my computer so pretty soon I’m going to record with apowersoft screen recorder which records my mac’s screen
Oh, sorry. Residual volume is the amount of air that is not exchanged during breathing. It is also called "dead space". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_space_(physiology) Imagine breathing through a vacuum hose, and that you do not exhale through your nose but have to do all breathing through your mouth. If the hose is long enough, thus holding big enough volume, you are in effect breathing the same air over and over again. No new air gets mixed in. In effect you could just as well be breathing into a plastic bag. Now that would be an extreme condition. But all volume that you add to your air column increases the dead space/residual volume, and makes the gas exchange during breathing less effective. The internal volume of a snorkel should not exceed... I think it is about 200 ml for an adult and less for a child, but this mask seems to hold way more volume than that.
Hmmm, I don't think this mask actually works like that - you cannot go underwater and continue to breath the air within the mask and snorkel (it's just not working like that). So I think this doesn't really affect it's usability (or safety), but a good point to bring up Per!
This guy is right: I bought 3 different brands at different prices but they all appeared to be essentially the identical design, materials, etc. They all leaked a little bit especially when submerging the snorkel. They all fogged considerably even when I used copious amounts of saliva and no-fog product. I was somewhere where the snorkeling was heavenly. Thank god I brought a couple good standard dive masks which worked flawlessly in "serious" conditions. These full face masks are fun but the novelty wears off quickly. I would like to try a Tribord or one of the more expensive ones to see if they are any better...
Thanks Gareth :) It's nice to have someone who has tried a bunch of them contribute their thoughts! I have heard from a reputable source there is an update coming to the Seaview 180 that will address a bunch of concerns. I was also in talks with Tribord to test their product but the conversation ended on their behalf :(
I don’t know if anyone else noticed this but when ever you cut the video a high piched beep sound would blast my ears and I am going deaf, but it’s worth it I like this guys videos, keep up the good work. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Alex Bainbridge . He noted there is no way to pinch your nose, as you would before gentley trying to blow air through your nose to equalise your ears (called the valsalva manouver).
This masks are great but you need to practice first in shallow area. I did not get fog but as you go under a Meter or so the mask will lock and you can't breathe in or out until you resurface be ready for it to lock out completely. it's great for surface snorkeling.
This is a great mask for casually floating along the surface with children and girlfriends that are a little claustrophobic , freaked out by the water anyway.(speaking from experience here.) I've found that the air trapped inside of the mask makes you (or at least your head) much more buoyant and thus; difficult to submerge beyond a few feet anyway. Actually , another plus for kids. Worth the reasonable price point depending on the application. Not for serious snorkeling but fun anyways.
Yazoo, your second point is a very good one, one that I neglected to mention - that extra bit of buoyancy actually helps keep people (like me) afloat also! For the life of me I've never, ever been able to float on water unless I'm treading water, with this thing on I can literally lay on my stomach on the surface like a normal person would on their back! Great!!!
As a scubadiver-- per the fogging, can you clear it when underwater? Also, on the equalizing, they need to design a rubber nose piece with some kind of access through the front of the mask. Not sure how they'd engineer this.
Thans Jnau, I have seen this happen underwater and it blows me away whenever someone does it! I don't think I am skilled enough to do it tho :( Agree with you about the rubber nose piece! Good idea!
The original Easybreath was designed and manufactured by Tripord in France in 2013 and I have the Original Tribord Mask and it does not Fog up and all my kids use it for surface snorkelling which was its intended purpose by the french design team
GivesAMinute true btw you can also buy stuff for the fogging and if you want I can send you some my dad would go diving for logs in Wisconsin so he use some of this stuff so he bought me some so when I go snorkeling on a vacation my mask doesn't fog up
I have the original Decathlon Easybreathe and it doesn't fog up at all. But, I still can't dive very far down and on surface snorkeling often a wave will cause the dry snorkel to lock closed and then momentarily you can't breathe!
One of the reasons I like living in the US, is most products I order are being shipped from the US (After their initial delivery from china or wherever, to suppliers), so delivery times are often within 5 days max.
Yeah and you guys can also expedite shipping to make it even quicker! Strangely enough whenever I order through Amazon to ship to Australia I am amazed at how cheap the actual shipping cost is? I guess they deal with such large volumes they have a discount setup...
So I bought the full facemasks for me and my wife and best friend who are all going to Hawaii soon, and from your advice of being able to squeeze your nose, I am also going to purchase nose clips as well which will cut down on Co2 and we will be able to equalize blowing out our ears. - Hope it works, if so I will let you know.
Awesome Jamie! I hope you have a great time :) I tried that nose clip idea ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html but unfortunately I had no positive results :( Let me know how you go!
I'm going snorkeling in Costa Rica soon!!! I'm new to snorkeling, so what were you talking about with the nose holding, and exchanging it? Thanks. loved the footage and the review!
I am looking to buy a snorkeling mask for my father who is 72 but snorkels in Thailand regularly. I note your review of the seaview 180 but would like a recommendation if you have one?
I looked at this video 3 years ago when you released it for the first time, fascinating look back through it again, your editing in this video was very good, very to the point and you presented so very well, I am not surprised in the slightest this video done so well for you, you put a lot of effort into this video and it paid off, well done, mrix
How does that snorkel operate? How many breaths can you do before it starts sucking up water? Cos the ad on Instagram claims one can breathe underwater, but doesn't specify how long that would breathing will go for. Cheers for the video, very enjoyable sights of Australia!
I guess the way it operates is detailed in the video, but "before it starts sucking up water" is a strange way to say before the snorkel seals and no air comes in? You cannot suck water in through the snorkel on these masks, and you cannot breathe underwater with these masks. Cheers for the nice comment mate!
For the part where you said that the snorkel mask is not used for depth. All you can do to not pressure your face is to hold your breath until you go your desired point below the surface and while down there exhale from your nose or mouth for as long as possible until you can get back up into the surface.
Kaya, that doesn't change the pressure of the water building up the deeper you go, but it does sound like a good way to control/slow down your heart rate.
Coming from diving, I think a big air pocket on your face would mess with your bouyancy while you're trying to stay head-down. Another way to equalize that would work with this mask is to turn one ear upward and massage your Eustachian tube in the hollow spot right below your ear. And +1 on the spit for anti-fogging. Doesn't this mask draw fresh incoming air over the inside of the lens like a gas mask ? Thx for the vid mate. I was thinking about one of these but I don't think so now.
The air pocket is something I hadn't considered, but yes it's a real problem DL. It makes it almost impossible to submerge yourself!! I did try a few different methods of equalisation here: ruclips.net/video/qxJ58lQ_a-8/видео.html but it didn't work for me mate :(
There are a lining on the inside of every mask that will in fact fog if not removed, a way to remove (suggested that you check a more reliable source first) it is burning it off with a lighter just let it cool before you put it in water unless you like having excuses for buying new masks ( I do not take blame if u followed my directions and you succeed or fail)
GivesAMinute yes I know I just see other you tubers With a mask that doesn’t get filled with water when they go down it just gives their face pressure the deeper they go
GivesAMinute well every time I dive down a bit that tube thing for the air to come in Water would get into it and it was fill the whole mask up and pressurize inside but I’ve seen other channels casual dive down Normaly but it will just apply pressure to ur face
I snorkel almost every day, I tried a face snorkel for a month you're right about it not being good for depth. I equalize using a swallowing technique. I ended up with an air pocket where I couldn't get the pressure out of my head by diving until I went down with a normal snorkel.
It was like being a little dizzy, I just felt really off balance. It took me like a week to figure out that what the problem was. We live by a lot of natural springs here in Trenton,fl went down about 30' and it felt so good when the pressure left I was immediately better.
Dear givesaminute. A few tips. Fog: use toothpaste and rub it for a few minutes. When that doesn't work use a lighter and burn off the layer off silicone protection (i do it with my diving masks) and always spit in the mask before entering the water. Clearing: there are some other ways to clear your ears. The first is what you did with your nose. The second is swallowing and the third is moving your jaws. And for the beard: use some vaseline or something alike and rub it in your beard. The vaseline should help you seal off your mask. Greetz
Thanks so much Bart :) I appreciate the tips!! I have a bunch of divers here in the comments SWEAR against using toothpaste as it is an abrasive paste and will ruin the glass. It's interesting how so many people have such a variety of solutions for the same problem, I guess it just a case of finding out what works best for you.
Used in Thailand and then in freshwater in europe....I agree with his conclusion...have this mask but also a traditional one if you plan to dive in the sea.
You can equalise by either swallowing while tensing the epiglottis or using the muscles in your throat/sinuses to 'pop' your ears. I learned to do this completely by accident!
LOL! The fulfilment center is located in *Niederaula* which is a small town right in the middle of Germany I traveled through some years ago! They even have _two_ Autobahns. But-- no beaches! ; )
usually, full face masks have a thing on the inside of the nose area that presses your nose shut so you can equalize without using your hands. I believe you can also buy things like that for on your nose.
Good test drive & unboxing but you didn't say how much or if it leaked. I don't have a beard but I have an awesome Fumanchu down to the Adams apple so that's why I'd like to know how much it leaks. Also, about your home brew. You said it was an English style but I've never heard of beer for a couple of months. Could you also post a link to that (the home brew) also?
Thanks mate :) Yeah it leaked a little - you can see it running down the inside of the mask as I use it. How much exactly I am not 100% sure, but my face was not dry after use. That English stye home brew was this one mate: www.aussiebrewmakers.com.au/Coopers-English-Bitter.html?ref_cat_id=home-brew-Coopers-International If you do make one yourself let me know how it tastes!
I use one of these for very shallow snorkeling when looking for shells. I use it when I’m tired of my other mask. Not a problem so far. I don’t have a problem with the equalizing, I guess I’m one of the lucky that can do it without pinching my nose.
GivesAMinute i heard from my friend that there are something that you should put into your nose and some other company's in your ears to help you equalize while diving .
I've found even masks that come with some kind of anti-fog coating on the lens will eventually fog up. Dedicated anti-fog ointment will help, but results vary dramatically from brand to brand. I've found that anti-dandruff shampoo works best (spread it thinly, let dry, then rinse off). Toothpaste is abrasive and I would only try it on tempered glass, not plastic. These full face masks should be only for surface snorkeling and have adequate warnings to that effect. But I expect there will be inherent problems with people not heeding that advice, creating tragic ends for some.
Thanks cytherians. I've heard the same thing about the anti-dandruff shampoo. Good to hear someone else recommending it! How funny is it that a lot fo people here recommend the toothpaste method, however that is totally incorrect as you mentioned the abrasive nature of it!! Agree again, these masks can potentially be disastrous if not supervised!
Is the shield glass or plastic? If it's glass rub some toothpaste on the inside of the mask...then buff off. Should not fog after that. Do not use toothpaste if it's plastic....it will scratch it up.
how about nose plugs. put them on so when you need to pressurize, the nose plugs would be like pinching your nose and breath out gently. do you think that would work?
I never had a snorkel, but if the little tube thing is under the water can you breathe? Because I have no idea how it works... Or can you only breath when the tube is out in the air
I like you. You're to the point, you don't try too hard to be entertaining or funny, and you reply to comments probably more than you need to. Subscribing 👍🏽
Ahhhh, thanks so much Brett!! I love reading a comment like this! I do spend a long time replying to comments, but I feel that is important as this is a community I am trying to build and it only happens when people start connecting :) Thanks so much for the support man!
GivesAMinute i use an Samsung galaxy i thinh its more about the person as junger you are and als less every day use your ears went through you can Her more of that High freqences (sorry for my Englisch im german )
Maybe if u burn a bit the inside glass of the mask with lighter it wont fog again. This method is used on new typical masks i dont know if it will work with that as well.
All observations are correckt. I used one in pool and swin for 50 meters - first 25 it stayd clear but fogged soon after. As for diving - just dont. Its good for surface observation only.
ok so let's say you can equalize your ears with out holding your nose, what happens as the water pressure increases and you need to equalize your mask could you do it or would it just can't?
I totally forgot to mention that once your mask is properly prepared and clean Dawn, the dish washing liquid, and J&J tear free baby shampoo are some of the most popular defoggers at dive shops because of the low cost and equal effectiveness of retail defoggers. My top choices for mask defoggers are: 1 - spit - it's free and. works great, as long as you haven't been drinking coffee. The downside is you're putting spit in your mask and that can be kinda gross for some people. 2 - Johnson and Johnson Baby Shampoo - doesn't burn your eyes if you dont clean it out well. 3 - Dawn Dish Washing Liquid - widely available, cheap and effective
Thanks for the tips Kelly :) I would certainly try these methods sometime soon (back in Australia now where it's winter, so perhaps in the warmer months!)
There is a second method to "equalize" pressure while wearing a mask under water (I've been doing it for many decades since I got my NASDS certification); move your mandible/jaw anteriorly/forward to open your Eustachian tubes to allow equalization. Works on airplanes too.
Thanks Far. I did try this and it didn't work for me: ruclips.net/video/qxJ58lQ_a-8/видео.html (I will say that I can do it above the surface of the water tho)
I have used this mask in Thailand and in river swims and al very pleased with it,I did however just see a RUclips video linking it to drownings due to disorientation and carbon monoxide build up in Switzerland they have been forbidden fir children under 11 thanks fir your presentation mate🙁🐬🐠

it feels like watching ozzy man reviews on full face snorkel mask. this is awesome. very entertaining and informative
Thanks a lot! I love that guy! He does some great stuff :) Cheers for the compliment! :)
Did you run toothpaste and soap in the mask ?? That is how you make sure it doesn't fog up
There's no need to with this one according to it's specs.
baby shampoo works.
But I have't had any problem with fogging up with this mask.

Where you get camera holder for this mask? Becuase normal model is without this holder.. Thanks a lot for answer..
The Seaview 180 comes standard with a GoPro mount sf2cz, check the link in the video description.

Same here
Idk if I'm weird or what not but for me, to equalize, I just yawn
For some people this works on land, for some it work both on land and under water - for me it only works on land.
GivesAMinute I don't have to yawn, but I can equalize on land, sea, and air.
Nicolas Perez what do you mean by air? Do you mean like on a plane?
Gameydudex no he means flapping your arm flaps😂

That's the ball locking in the snorkel. It's to prevent water from running into the tube. :)
clean the mask with toothpaste real well otherwise it will always fog
Got it :) Will do this for sure :)
cory cormier why toothpaste?
Tried this and it didn't work: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
when you think you're done keep scrubbing
when you first get the mask it is dirty when you clean it with toothpaste real well it cleans it/buffs it.

Good idea!
only youtuber who wont cringe at their old videos at the future
Awwww thanks man!! That's a nice comment!! :)
GivesAMinute No problem
about 12 mins too long
Thanks for stopping by with your thoughts Jon.
Lol savage
Atticus-R funny
The original Easybreath was designed and manufactured by Tripord in France in 2013 and I have the Original Tribord Mask and it does not Fog up and all my kids use it for surface snorkelling which was its intended purpose by the french design team
Thanks Brendan. I was in talks with Tribord to review their mask however the talks fell flat from their end.
I thought this mask let you breath underwater
Nope, not at all!! Don't be confused by the sketchy marketing - you cannot breathe underwater with this!
GivesAMinute with mine I I breath in slowly and for about 15 to 30 second also if you spit inside of the mask it stops fogging up :)
I guess you can take a second breath, but it's not really recommended as you are breathing in the air you exhaled already!
GivesAMinute true btw you can also buy stuff for the fogging and if you want I can send you some my dad would go diving for logs in Wisconsin so he use some of this stuff so he bought me some so when I go snorkeling on a vacation my mask doesn't fog up
I gave the mask away so don't have access to it anymore :( But thanks for the offer and the suggestion :)
Was anyone else just staring at the fly on his back at 5:30?
You have 3k and you have video quality like this is truly incredible keep up the good work man, earned my sub. 😜
Thank you so much Brandon :)
That high pitched noise destroyed my ears. Had to shut off, not even 30 seconds in the video... :/
Not everyone hears it, sorry you do.
Can those who hear it please tell me their computer setup?
Ace Jagare I really don't hear it
youtube won't display more then 16kHz without headphones
Interesting Ausintune... So what you are saying is unless you are using headphone you won't hear it?
1k🎉
Thanks AJ :)
I have the original Decathlon Easybreathe and it doesn't fog up at all. But, I still can't dive very far down and on surface snorkeling often a wave will cause the dry snorkel to lock closed and then momentarily you can't breathe!
Ouch! That sounds like a terrible thing to have happen!!! Scary!!
These masks suck to breathe in. Doesn't feel like you can get a full clear breath.
I didn't notice that, but overall I wasn't a fan of the mask.
GivesAMinute because you take back in alot of the air you exhaled into it
I understand this is also quite dangerous!!
GivesAMinute can't be that bad. people wear altitude masks for training all the time. I'm just not a fan of inhaling my exhale lol
Heheh! This is fair enough!! It's not the nicest thing to think of doing :)
Your drivers seat is on the wrong side
How is it "wrong"?
GivesAMinute actually it is on the right side
CDawgIZBeast Actually in America the drivers seat is on the left. And in England it's on the right. So it's not wrong.
What about Australia, where he lives?
BENP same thing, i live there
One of the reasons I like living in the US, is most products I order are being shipped from the US (After their initial delivery from china or wherever, to suppliers), so delivery times are often within 5 days max.
Yeah and you guys can also expedite shipping to make it even quicker! Strangely enough whenever I order through Amazon to ship to Australia I am amazed at how cheap the actual shipping cost is? I guess they deal with such large volumes they have a discount setup...
What's the name or where's the music for 7:25 from?
There's many music under Spike vibes but can't find the specific one used here...
It's so good!
Check the description.
There is a brand called body glove that has a full face snorkel with a rubberized nose so you can equalize
I was in talks with them a while back, it went no where.
I'm going snorkeling in Costa Rica soon!!! I'm new to snorkeling, so what were you talking about with the nose holding, and exchanging it? Thanks. loved the footage and the review!
Cheers Tommy :) Check this video for a few different options and the nose clip suggestion tested: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
I am looking to buy a snorkeling mask for my father who is 72 but snorkels in Thailand regularly. I note your review of the seaview 180 but would like a recommendation if you have one?
Unfortunately I don't have a recommendation for you Jackie, except to say I do not recommend this mask!
I looked at this video 3 years ago when you released it for the first time, fascinating look back through it again, your editing in this video was very good, very to the point and you presented so very well, I am not surprised in the slightest this video done so well for you, you put a lot of effort into this video and it paid off, well done, mrix
Thanks very much mate :)
I did try a few different methods of equalisation here: ruclips.net/video/qxJ58lQ_a-8/видео.html but it didn't work for me mate :(
It's good that this video exist since I just ordered this and couldn't find any reviews to see if it was good and it's nice to know it's pretty good
Thanks so much Maria :) I really appreciate the nice words!! Thanks so much!
Hehehe! There you go folks, if you try Jemcm's method you may be needing a new mask! Proceed with caution!
The only problem I have with it is when I try to dive down Waters Gets inside the mask and I have to surface
These masks are not designed to be diving below the surface Krisdan.
GivesAMinute yes I know I just see other you tubers With a mask that doesn’t get filled with water when they go down it just gives their face pressure the deeper they go
From my experience I found this mask to not suffer from what you are describing.
GivesAMinute well every time I dive down a bit that tube thing for the air to come in Water would get into it and it was fill the whole mask up and pressurize inside but I’ve seen other channels casual dive down Normaly but it will just apply pressure to ur face
In Italy is commercialized by decathlon! Like in France.... Belgium.... Germany.... Greece etc!
Huh?
To equalized, can try before put on the mask? Or do it with holding on breath?
Nah man, it's not possible as you need to continually equalise as you snorkel around. It's not a one-off thing you do once during a snorkel.
I snorkel almost every day, I tried a face snorkel for a month you're right about it not being good for depth. I equalize using a swallowing technique. I ended up with an air pocket where I couldn't get the pressure out of my head by diving until I went down with a normal snorkel.
That sounds really terrible Joshua. Was it painful until you cleared that "air pocket"?
It was like being a little dizzy, I just felt really off balance. It took me like a week to figure out that what the problem was. We live by a lot of natural springs here in Trenton,fl went down about 30' and it felt so good when the pressure left I was immediately better.
Joshua Pitman 30feet?!!! Wow that’s kinda deep for these full face masks!! Glad you sorted it out tho. No one likes to snorkel in pain! :)
I switched to a regular mask when I went back down.
Joshua Pitman Oh, well now I get it lol! Kinda crucial piece of info there! Hahaha!
Thanks Steve :) Cheers for your thoughts buddy!
You can equalise by either swallowing while tensing the epiglottis or using the muscles in your throat/sinuses to 'pop' your ears. I learned to do this completely by accident!
Thanks Ben, didn't work for me, I tried a few different methods here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
I've used gas mask for work and I would think that tends to work similar. Therefore, wouldn't having facial hair let the water in?
Not really, I mean I couldn't feel any water coming in from the chin area.
How did you find a round one all the ones on Amazon from Seaview are flat faced
No idea Mike, was just what they shipped me when I ordered?
Absolutely beautiful clear water!
Oh yeah! Pretty lucky to have such lovely places so close to home!!
I bought mine in France it seems to be a much higher quality the anti fog works perfectly
Which brand Lareth?
LOL! The fulfilment center is located in *Niederaula* which is a small town right in the middle of Germany I traveled through some years ago! They even have _two_ Autobahns. But-- no beaches! ; )
That's even weirder!! Bizarre that it is located there :) I wonder how many of the workers in the fulfilment centre even know what the thing is?!!
nice video...i have 2 and they are great masks....I have gone down 10 feet with no issues...
Thanks Mike. It's nice to hear some people are not having any issues with them! How do you equalise (just curious!)
usually, full face masks have a thing on the inside of the nose area that presses your nose shut so you can equalize without using your hands. I believe you can also buy things like that for on your nose.
I tried that here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html It's a nose clamp, but it didn't work for me :(
ahh that sucks man, seems like a nice mask anyways though :D
That's a great use case for these masks chelsea, and extra bonus points as you can do the equalise without pinching! :)
Its mainly used for snorkelling, price ca usd 24 from China still best overall.
Or direct from Wildhorn Outfitters: www.wildhornoutfitters.com/products/seaview-180-full-face-easybreath-snorkel-masks
Thanks for mentioning the equalization thing because i was waiting to see how i could equalize while diving ;)
No problem General :) Glad to be of help!
GivesAMinute i heard from my friend that there are something that you should put into your nose and some other company's in your ears to help you equalize while diving .
Yeah I had heard of the nose clamp method too and tried it here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html It didn't work :(
GivesAMinute omg thanks for telling me that so that i won't wast my money buying it .. i am a big fan of diving deep :)
My pleasure man! Glad I could help!
Also figuring out you're a photographer makes everything so much better
Yeah!!! Photographers for the win!
Can you use nose plugs in the mask to equalize?
I have had one for 2 years.. first time I used it. It sealed and was perfect. After that it never sealed around my nose and always fogged.
Thats a shame to hear So-Crates. Has there been any changes to your face?
It's plastic. I did try the toothpaste method here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html Didn't work :(
GivesAMinute ....probably because it's plastic. Lol.
Probably! Who knows with these things tho!
how about nose plugs. put them on so when you need to pressurize, the nose plugs would be like pinching your nose and breath out gently. do you think that would work?
Thanks buddy, I tried a few different methods here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
One question does it store air inside from when the snorkel was above the water and then you dive and use it
Hi Sean, no not at all. This is a misconception, you cannot breathe underwater with this mask :)
I never had a snorkel, but if the little tube thing is under the water can you breathe? Because I have no idea how it works... Or can you only breath when the tube is out in the air
You cannot breathe underwater with this thing at all. It looks like you can from their advertising, but that is misleading.
Can you not equalize plugging your nose before you mask up? Breath through mouth
Hey Demps. I actually tried that right here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
Can you walk around with it for a bit see if it fogs up and can you breath with it
I do not have it any longer mate, but good question :)
Where did you get the money for all this Photography equipment?
Before I started photography full time I worked three jobs to get the cash to buy my gear.
GivesAMinute Wow,
If you really want it then you'll chase it until you get it. When you get it you'll deserve it, if you want it hard enough.
I have the Aria diving mask and it never fogs. Amazing deal. I promise.
I've heard they are good. I've tried another one here: ruclips.net/video/KqzRd5m7T_w/видео.html
Can i just put something to pimch my nose constantly before puting the mask so i can exualise?
I tired that here Serbian: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
were you supposed to do something with the plastic to make it not fog first ?
Nah Jennie, the mask is sold as anti fog right out of the package, so there is nothing to be done.
Have you tried a yawning action to equalize with the mask on?
Yeah Phteven, I tried that exact thing here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
Yea that works. You can also equalize by tilting your head back and swallowing hard.
There sometimes is an realy realy high pitch beep in the could you use an high cut filter in the Future?
What's your computer setup?
GivesAMinute i am using an phone
Ok good to know. So far it looks like iPhones can here it and a bunch of PC's I'm wondering if any Mac users can hear it?
GivesAMinute i use an Samsung galaxy
i thinh its more about the person as junger you are and als less every day use your ears went through you can Her more of that High freqences (sorry for my Englisch im german )
where is the location of this vlog? amazing place.
Cheers Nicholas, this is at Wattamolla in Sydney, Australia.
Maybe if u burn a bit the inside glass of the mask with lighter it wont fog again. This method is used on new typical masks i dont know if it will work with that as well.
Thanks! I'm not sure how confident I would feel taking a lighter to it tho!
I bought one of these from a store vender in Thailand and love it!
Nice! Glad you are enjoying the snorkelling Xavier!! :)
to solve the equalization problem I would simply put a binder clip or something on my nose so I don't have to hold it to equalize.
Tried this today, results video coming...
Can’t you just use a nose plug and when you need to equalize just do it with ought having to pinch? Just a thought I’ve never used a nose plug before.
I did try that here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html but sadly it did not work.
I've got two of them really good . brilliant for the kids
Glad to hear you are digging them!! :)
U can also tilt ur head back and swollow to equalise another way
I tried a few different options here Riley: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html
I just bought one thanks for this video, very informative!
Awesome adam! Glad I could be of help for you!
All observations are correckt. I used one in pool and swin for 50 meters - first 25 it stayd clear but fogged soon after. As for diving - just dont. Its good for surface observation only.
Thanks buddy. Glad I'm not the only one with these thoughts on the product!
Good to see a fellow Aussie doing well
Thanks buddy!
can I use this with a noseclipper to equalize?
Hmmm, Sangadji, it's a good question. I actually tried that very thing here: ruclips.net/video/2UHvFJ7zXnk/видео.html and for me it didn't work :(
ok so let's say you can equalize your ears with out holding your nose, what happens as the water pressure increases and you need to equalize your mask could you do it or would it just can't?
I just tried again (vlog coming) and you can't. None of the methods mentioned here worked for me. I gave the mask away.
Hope you share me 1 full mask😔 from Philippines
I totally forgot to mention that once your mask is properly prepared and clean Dawn, the dish washing liquid, and J&J tear free baby shampoo are some of the most popular defoggers at dive shops because of the low cost and equal effectiveness of retail defoggers.
My top choices for mask defoggers are:
1 - spit - it's free and. works great, as long as you haven't been drinking coffee.
