      ....oh and did I point out that @ShadBonen also does it as expensively as possible? Including useless splurges like that top of the line Hanna Test Kit bundle and all of that excessive dry rock that he somehow manages to use excessively.
      Oh and what about that doomed to failure from it's far to early start of introducing (and yes, expensive) SPS, LPS and Softie Corals?
      If it wasn't so sad I'd be laughing at it like it was a subplot on The Simpsons or something....no, I mean that.

Nothing he is doing directly affects you, yeah he might have introduced corals too early but he did mention that he knows he should have waited, and as for crying about his intro and outro just grow up, if you don’t like it don’t watch it😂

    Looking great and I would not remove any stones yet, maybe get a bigger cleaner crew for the algae. What you can upgrade is better lights and go to a hardware store and they can cut out a new glass lid and the tank would look so much better and cleaner. I got a new glass lid for my Fluvial Flex 57 and I have to say, the tank look so much better without that black bulky plastic lid.

    I have the same tank and from the beginning had problems with temperature management. The lamp was so hot that it heated up the whole tank to 1 degree within 30 minutes. Then I decided to run it open, so I needed a holder for the lamp. And surprise, you can't buy them separately, only with a new lamp. I made it myself from stainless steel wire and plexiglass. Also, pump is too weak, I replaced it. Recommended skimmer from Fluval was of poor quality, it lost air at the bottom and it was sucked in with the pump and came into the tank, it was full of air bubbles. After sealing it was better. The cabinet is too bad quality for the money. I am really disappointed. It works now and looks very good, but you still have to invest and be able to tinker.

      my aqua one tank also needed mods. I ended changing everything. No problem to me for a first SW tank.am still thinking of the fluvial as I have a house move coming up and would rather set up a new tank than move my existing one.
      I intend to keep my aqua one tank and store it in the garage and use it to make my own salt water with the aid of a RO/DI unit.

    Great video series on this Fluval tank. I’m interested in the same tank, but for freshwater set up. It’s been several more months now….any leaks or other issues? I see that it tends to run kinda warm. The stand looks good quality, How has it held up? Warping or other issues with it? Would you recommend this tank now after owning it for this period? I’m considering a 40 gallon breeder as an alternative, but the tank stands are kinda find for those. Thanks! :)

    • @shadbonen
      @shadbonen  3 года назад +1

      Thanks I've also thought about doing a freshwater with this tank or I should say another. The tank is solid stand hasn't warped or peeled looks like it did new. The tank is almost sealed with the factory lid so it will follow your house temp pretty easy I live cool so it's fine but if you don't have ac or are in high temp area heat might be a problem. As far as the stand it's great but short could be at least a foot taller if not more
      I would and I wouldn't recommend as it works fine and is good quality but like I said stand is short for me the round front is nice but also sometimes hard to clean certain areas I feel distort the interior like almost a magnifying aspect
      Not upset I have it but like all systems it's not perfect hope this helps

So I cant say i skipped any cycle with fritze. I added the UV and it has been noticeable. It HAS kept the haze around the glass down. I was getting lots of brown or green haze on glass. Now it very small. I can clearly say its working. Only prob is, i like to feed the tank with sea snow and phyto. So basically i cut most of my white light down to 10%.LOL.
