      @sailingayoyo 28 days ago +54

      That's true, the poor child is miserable, hates himself and has spent so much time trying to change his looks that he forgot about improvements that matter more and outlast the aging process. Even if he was the most beautiful man in the world, the moment he opened his mouth he becomes totally unattractive. I am not sure how he could come back from this and become a secure happy adult. For him it is so sad but, if he drags anyone else into this pit of horror, it is a tragedy and he should go to gaol.

      A doctor tried to get me to even though i didn't need it, he tried to say my bones in my foot are fuzed together even though I've been walking fin the whole time before i twisted my ankle...yes i just twisted my ankle and maybe tore something and the guy tried to say i needed foot surgery

    • @daniellamcgee4251
      @daniellamcgee4251 25 days ago

      @NuggetTato A doctor tried to send me off to surgery for 'trigger finger' to sever the tendon. I said I wasn't going to a surgeon, a drastic step, until I had an ultrasound confirming that I needed surgery. That a G.P. was surprised by me saying they had missed a step, was concerning.
      Same situation with you. You needed x-rays and an ultrasound to determine what was going on with your bones and soft tissue before determining if a surgeon was needed. My finger tendon released before the ultrasound, so an appointment with the surgeon was redundant. I hope your injuries fully heal, too!
      That was the same G.P. clinic where I was advised to go on The Pill to get pregnant! I repeated it because I thought I must have heard wrong. Her reasoning was to regulate my cycle. Needless to say, I never returned to that clinic, and had a baby instead. Unfortunately, that child has juvenile ankylosing spondylitis, an autoimmune disease that results in bones fusing. Fusing of foot and finger bones happens after a while of spine and hip fusing, and you'd know about it! So you aren't likely to have that condition. So, we've come full circle!

    • @daniellamcgee4251
      @daniellamcgee4251 25 days ago +5

      I wonder if that guy is regretting his surgery. People take mobility for granted.

    It's so weird that they completely miss the fact that physical attraction is very idiosyncratic. Then they utterly forget the deal breaker; that if you have a crappy personality, you can become incredibly ugly, incredibly rapidly. Ryan Gosling is not only gorgeous but hilarious and a genuinely nice guy. Keanu Reeves is very similar personality wise. What's a common feature? They are both very humble and are able to laugh at themselves, as well as being fundamentally kind people.

    • @fayedavison92
      @fayedavison92 26 days ago +6

      People forget initial sexual attraction will fizzle out once you learn there personality and character because it’s wank. Where as if you get to know someone the attraction increases because them being funny, considerate, kind, tapped in with emotions etc will grow that physical attraction. I hope that makes sense 😅

    • @tabbi888
      @tabbi888 26 days ago +6

      Personally I think Ryan gosling is ugly but I think keanu is absolutely gorgeous as far as purely physical characteristics. I agree that even a conventionally ugly man can become attractive if they have a Stella personality, just as a pretty person can become instantly ugly if their personality is crappy. Looks aren't everything when it comes to attraction.

    • @fayedavison92
      @fayedavison92 26 days ago +1

      @tabbi888exactly that!

    • @elysem2031
      @elysem2031 24 days ago +3

      Right?! There are so many things that make a person attractive. Superficial looks can initially attract someone, but looks will change over time, and quite frankly, how you behave is going to carry you way further than looks. Also, everyone has different tastes. I can understand that certain people are objectively attractive but am I attracted to them? Not necessarily. We all have little things we find incredibly attractive that may not be conventionally attractive, like a little nose crinkle when someone laughs or incredibly warm and loving eyes or a genuine smile or slightly crooked teeth or when they throw their head back when they laugh.

    • @dracuella
      @dracuella 28 days ago +1

      Or, that women have let themselves go. That more of them should look at themselves in the mirror and start saving for that boob job. Or lip fillers. Botox, you name it. This was from a friend of a friend; a group of big, bulky "men's men". When calling him out on it, he said, with a completely straight face, that I got a pass because I had a great job and probably earned a lot more than he did. So, "he'd still fork me."

Idc what men say, most straight men where I live have no style so their opinion isn't important lmaoo

      Unfun fact: The American Psycho movie was directed by a feminist woman, which was extremely unusual at the time. She directed the film to make Patrick Bateman simultaneously deeply pathetic and ineffective, and deeply misogynistic and thoughtlessly violent.
      Patrick Bateman was satire; a cartoonishly evil man who has never had to work for anything, and never will.

    Why are they bragging about self harm? This is so unhealthy, sad and deeply concerning. If a woman did this to herself they would be forced to go to a mental health specialist and/or would be checked into a psychiatric hospital. These men need therapy asap.

    • @Bhoyle32
      @Bhoyle32 28 days ago +1

      Women have been self-harming and deforming themselves for decades, or getting surgeons (or random people they contacted on Facebook without checking if they're actually qualified surgeons) to do it for them. Many women have left themselves permanently disfigured, permanently disabled, or have even died because of it. None of them were/are forced to check in anywhere

    • @ellie1248

      My point still stands though: there are women self-harming themselves (or consenting to others harming them) to achieve a difference in appearance as well. Just because they’re not specifically smashing themselves with a hammer doesn’t mean it’s not as extreme or serious.
      3 that immediately come to mind are Kelly Osbourne, Eugenia Cooney and Ariana Grande (during her Wicked era) who sadly look like Halloween decorations

    Bro.. I had to do the lower jaw surgery as a medical orthopedic surgery because my jaw was to bug and it was causing problem. That surgery is extremely invasive, minimum recovery time is 6 months, your moth is literally sewn shut and you're on a liquid diet. The plethora of pain meds, antibiotics etc etc you have to be on to prevent complications was so huge we literally made a chart for it and it can cause permanent nerve damage (I don't have full feeling of parts of my lower jaw). What is this kid thinking omg...

    • @_Morri_
      @_Morri_ 28 days ago +19

      Right here with you. Had an underdeveloped upper jaw and a bad over-bite that caused issues with eating. Had to have healthy teeth pulled, bracers for about a year, then surgery where they moved both my upper and lower jaw. Then a month of only liquid diet, then another year of bracers to re-allign my teeth. Luckily for me the nerves recovered and the feeling in my chin came fully back. Can't imagine voluntarily going through that for something as stupid as going up 1 point on an imaginary looks-scale, especially when you are already objectively attractive. Al Pacino in "Devil's Advocate" was so right: "Vanity, definitely my favourite sin"

    21:54 i’m a recovered anorexic with body dysmorphic disorder and in my opinion, these guys display every symptom of body dysmorphia. it’s alarming how textbook it is, actually.
    these lookmaxxing influencers (especially clav) show an extreme preoccupation with their appearance and perceived physical flaws as well as other symptoms like constantly exercising/grooming, comparing appearance to other people, seeking reassurance about appearance, having unnecessary surgeries, seeing doctors about perceived physical flaws, and way more.
    and i would say there’s at least a 90% chance these guys could be diagnosed with a disorder because this preoccupation is obviously affecting their ability to live a normal life

      Thank you for mentioning that, a very valid point. 🙏
      I find it frightening how many "celebrities" change their faces and appearance so much that they become unrecognisable, even when they are still young. That gives kids and young people an absolutely wrong signal. And the plastic surgeons who do all those unnecessary operations have my finest loathing (greedy bastards).
      For this looksmaxxing ... I also think that it has to do with a kind of body dysmorphia, whatever the root causes are. Though I can imagine that some maybe only want to "fill" their empty life with a task to achieve something. Which I personally wouldn't call a good choice, there are so many better things with which we can improve ourselves as a person.

    It's not the way you look that matters. It's the quality of your character. I have a face tattoo, empty hearts on my knuckles (broken) and what look like gang tattoos. Deep set eyes and a flat brow line. I look like a skinny neanderthal that just got out of prison.
    I was on the bus the other day and a little old lady sat next to me and she kept falling asleep and I asked if she was ok, at first she was scared of me but when she realised I was just trying to take care of her she was so sweet and didn't judge me for how I look and talk, she was the nicest person.
    She took the time to adjust how she thought if me and see me as a human.
    I was terrified that she would see me in a bad way. Describing how my favourite film is the Barbie Movie, I love being the little spoon and I collect teddy bears kinda made her treat me like a grandchild. I wanted to protect her and she saw that. But, she was someone I thought would judge me turned out to be a wonderful person who treated me as an equal.
    Goes to show that it doesn't matter what you look like. All that matters is where your heart is.
    To all you people out there who worry about this, have some love from Spain. As long as you love who you see in the mirror, you're all good. If anyone tells you any different, let me know who it is and where they live.
    Love is the way forward. For yourself and everyone else.
    Edit: for all of you struggling with this, you can do it. You are enough. You can do it. You have the strength. You don't even need it. You are enough and you are beautiful

    You can see that the guy doesn't take the personality into account at all, like one of the most charming things about Ryan Gosling is the fact that he's a genuinely nice and funny person, that's one of the reasons people fall for him

    The guy that said that girl wasn't his type just to humiliate her.. well.. he changed everything about his appearance but when he talks, there's just nothing to his personality. Inside he's so deeply insecure and chooses to do no actual work on himself. Does he think that once someone gets past first impressions of appearance that anyone will find a reason to stay? At the end of the day, underneath, he hasn't evolved at all.
    Also Cam, to your question. No, It's really not attractive

    It doesn't matter how "great" they may look. The fact is for over 20 years I've dealt with a failing body from an ED because as a teen I was "shown" what beauty was for girls. It's all a joke. Until we can find happiness in ourselves there is no real beauty. I know I sound old & hungry. 🤣 It's just sad. Because at one time I just knew I was right. My health says different now.

      As someone whose sister suffered from an ED for much of her life I can sympathise with you, the ED also led to her having severe mental health issues and a relationship with a coercive abuser. Be safe and know that you are beautiful , are strong and are glorious.

      Agreed as an anorexia survivor here. There needs to be more awareness on male eating and exercise disorders. Men often suffer in silence with eating and over exercising disorders, I think it’s seen as a “female” issue so men don’t get help. Society sees it as something impressive, not an illness so there’s no way out for some of these guys. Just awful 😞

      massive reach to say he was taught by aspasia. Socrates was already of a decent age by the time of her rise and he often opposed the democrats. Aspasia was influential in her own right, we dont need to make these claims.
