I remember laughing so hard when I first saw Eneru's stunned face in the manga. Imagine being used to defeating opponents with a few thousand volts, and then someone comes along and not only survives a hundred million, but even responds by punching you in the face and telling you to stop fooling around.
Luffy is amazing.
It's an absolute top tier devil fruit, he knows it, everyone knows it. Imagine now finding out the one weakness in the heat of battle you left yourself open to.

If Enel is in the new world and has mastered all forms of haki, he'd be a absolute monster
Not necessarily. The monsters of the new world are not only people with devastating haki and/or usage of devil fruits, they also have abnormal bodies.
During Whole Cake and Wano we're seeing that even without usage of haki or DF, BigMom was easily capable of defeating Queen with pure brute strength, Kaido is on a similar level, if not slightly above ( I don't believe in a huge power gap between the Emperors ).
Eneru has definitely great potential, but when it comes to close combat his Strength and Endurance are just too low, plus he demonstrated no mastery over his weapon of choice ( The golden trident). Eneru's greatest flaw is himself, both in physical and mental ( his god complex ) state.

I remember when enel got introduced for the first time and my immediate thought was "but luffys rubber? It doesn't matter. He doesn't conduct electricity" and now that he's awakened he can literally give lightning the properties of rubber

I remember a few years back when I saw this clip on RUclips, not this video though, and I thought, "That writing is pretty clever. Maybe I should try watching One Piece."
Ok it good watch it there a lot of character development so the arcs are long and very detailed
But it’s pretty worth it to be honest, I’m fully caught up with the anime and I have no regrets
I see😂. I started watching one piece after I saw a clip of ace. I really loved everything about ace. His character style, his way of speaking, his dreams...and I wanted to see more of him, so I started watching one piece.
Spoiler:
I didn't know that ace was gonna appear really late into the show. I just stared watching one piece hoping that he'd appear in the first few episodes. But, amazingly enough, I got sucked into the storyline after just watching the first two episodes. At that point, I wanted to see through luffy's dream till the end and know what he'd do along the way. I still wanted to see ace but it wasn't boring in the least while waiting for him. After ace was finally introduced, I was so happy and enjoyed the anime more......only to know that he dies in the end. It was tragic to the point that it still aches my heart everytime I think about it even though he's not real

It is 2022 now and I still want Enel back in anime and manga. Just to good caracter for one arc.
Enel might get himself killed in the new world but people forget he's one of the first we see use Haki and he's really good at Observation Haki if he trained that enough the fact that his DF is really good he might survive there. The only reason he lost is because he was unlucky to meet one of the two devil fruits that's a direct counter to his (well, he'd eventually lose to a good haki user). But still lightning is not a joke of a power, he might be able to stand up and survive to an admiral just because his DF is so good combined with Observation Haki.
Also I'd want to see a Kizaru v Enel just to see who's the fastest.
Kizaru probably moves slower than light (or else he’d time travel) and lightning moves at 1/10 of light
If Enel learned Busoshoku by the time they meet, it’d be a close fight
A big downfall for so many pirates who face luffy is their comfortablility caused by ego to boost their "You can't do shit rubber rookie".

@@JesusOnHeroin Idk if the Pika Pika no Mi is because they've never encountered, but the Yami Yami no mi is a direct counter to all devil fruits as far as I'm aware. Much more so to a logia highly dependent on it.

That's what I love about One Piece. The fact that powerful devil fruits may end up in the hands of idiots like Eneru is incredibly funny.
Eneru is such a flawed character that when it came to fight Luffy he was almost without options. His body is weak compared to Luffy's, his observation has very limited use in combat, he'll avoid dodging because he thinks himself a god, all his abilities consist of throwing lightning at people, and he clearly didn't train with his weapon.
Don't get me wrong, he was a great villain, but sincerely he's just too cocky to survive on the high seas, good thing he managed to reach the moon. Would like to see him again, maybe in a future movie.

@@Deathmare235 His observation is strong BECAUSE of his fruit. But it's flawed in close quarters. His observation predicts only direct hits, so let's say you aim a punch at something directly behind him, Eneru will not be able to "sense" the attack with his Haki.

Luffy being completely immune to the lightning is partially plot armor. Even without the shock hurting him he still would be injured by the burns. Lightning causes massive heat that always leaves burns and like they showed later in the fight when Luffy grabbed the trident and got burned he is still vulnerable to heat

Enel may be flawed, but until Luffy came, he really had no one that was better than him. He has probably the most powerful Logia, only comparable to the ones that the three Admirals have, and his only true counter is Luffy because he’s too fast for you to hit with Seastone and can move fast enough to avoid seawater and Haki.
If he had more challenging enemies before Luffy, he would’ve trained himself and his weapon and probably have beaten the Straw Hats.
If you know lightning very well , well you wouldn’t say such B.S , magma , light , are incomparable to lightning, magma is so slow and it’s heats is not that great , light is fast shiny but nothing else , lightning is 1/3 of light speed so fast , and and it’s heat is much hotter than the surface of sun like 5xmore hotter , and destructive like a bomb, rubber would melt and mold if facing a lightning bolt but oda is too childish in writing his story , using lightning that way it’s just awfully wrong

What I really love about Luffy is that he was always Yonko material. We've not been following a weak or pathetic protagonist who would feel out of place as a Yonko or a pirate king.

The only reason enel was a bit weak because he has no rival in Skypiea so he lack of combat experience. Everyone around him is weaker than him. Imagine if he was in the new world, he mastered all types of haki. He could be a yonko or admiral level

Comparing from the old. I kind of like the original better. It does a zoom into his eyes, his nose with a shaky cam effect before a full reveal of his face kind of giving the viewer some build up before we see his full reaction to his face as a pay off but not only we got that but a fully animated rotation of it. You can tell the anime staff had a lot of fun with it.
I like this new one too because it’s a one to one remake of the manga more in line to Oda’s vision.

When I first saw this arc, this fight made me see Luffy and Eneru as this:
Luffy = TV Plug (Coated in rubber)
Eneru = Electrical Outlet (to plug the TV into)
Eneru's Trident = Overloaded Electrical Outlet (able to burn rubber)
