Absolutely! This wasn’t his “first “ mistake if they already have other warrants for him. Contacting Brooke to apologize is most likely his way of trying to get you to drop the charges. Learning that he has to pay for his “mistakes “ is the only way he will change.
So sorry about this. I had a break in at my apartment and a TV and an electronic toy were stolen. Left me feeling violated and nervous for weeks. :-( I hope you all feel better soon !!

Jason, you did the right thing. He demonstrated that he does not have a conscious otherwise he would have not tried anything after his first criminal act.
Hello Coghill Fam, that’s just horrible that some one has invaded your beautiful stand. Don’t be sorree about reporting the perpetrator. These people need to be reported. Otherwise they’ll keep doing it. I’m just glad no one got hurt. Stay Blessed Coghill Fam ♥️
Several years ago, I purchased some things from a small farm store in Illinois. I was shocked to find a small store that operated on the honor system BUT what a nice experience! This is how it should be. That sense of trust is the way I was raised. Most people are good and trustworthy. Thieves need to be held accountable.
You did 100% the right thing. We have got to get back to holding EVERYONE accountable for their actions. Too much permissiveness/entitlement has crept in the past few years and it has all added up to disastrous consequences.

Jason you took the right actions. People can only change through accountability. Saying he’s sorry after being caught is not accountability. They are clearly on a wrong path. I pray he turns his life around. Holding him accountable is a great start. I’m sorry his actions stole your joy for even one moment. 😢 I love our Cog Hill Farm and Family. 💓🙏🏽💐

You did the right thing Jason. We were broken into 16 yrs ago at home, when we got home , the house was turned upside down. It was not the loss of personal items. But more the psychological damage it did to my 5yr old daughter, for 8 months she would no longer sleep in her own bedroom. Nobody sees that damage or impact on a family member. They need to be brought to justice, at all times. God bless you and the family ❤
When I was about 22, I had organized my bf’s weapons and got his room cleaned up. The next day we went to a funeral. Got back to his moms house and the antique door with beveled glass panels were broken. His moms antique perfume bottles & all his firearms were taken. I was so scared to go back to my apartment so I stayed with them. You get that feeling of being totally violated. You wonder what will happen next. So scary!
Sadly I am not surprised that this happened. People have no morals or ethics anymore. I’m glad you had good quality cameras and were able to catch him.

Agreed! I still feel unsafe and violated 12 years later, after my little home burglarized. Police never would tell me who they recovered some of my cherished items from. A year after burglary, police called me to come pick up my stuff. About 1/4th recovered. Thieves also got a copy of my birth certificate and social security card (never recovered) and strangled my dog to keep him from barking while I arrived home and unloaded groceries to back porch which gave them time to slip out front door. My dog was hoarse for a week and had trouble swallowing, but thankfully, they did not let him loose, out the door, to run crazy in the street while they went thru my stuff. They must have had hours to go thru 'everything' - my floors were totally covered with files of papers (I'm a bookkeeper) along with all my belongings, clothes from drawers and closets, Antique dishes piled by front door, ice cream from fridge thrown against walls. You’re right Jason. If he isn’t learning from his mistakes then he has to be brought to justice before it elevates to worse and he hurts someone or gets hurt himself. You are a good man Jason
Sorry this happened. You have done the right thing by reporting it. For you and him. It doesn’t matter if it’s .25€ or $200 it’s not his. Maybe empty the box every night.
You did the right thing. People need to learn the consequences for their actions to many times people's wrong doings are pushed under the rug. He 100% needs to held accountable. Sorry this happened.
You did the right thing to protect your family. If he's not held accountable his crimes could get worse.
I’m so sorry this happened to you. Prayers that this young man can change his ways and pass blessings on in his life forward.
He absolutely needs to be held accountable. You did the right thing. Blessings to you All 🙏 ❤🙏
It absolutely causes fear, I would be thinking I hope he doesn't come back and break into my house. I'm a worry wort . You absolutely did the right thing by filing a complaint. People need to be held accountable for their actions. Of course he apologized to Brooke, he's trying to play on your nice side hoping you won't press charges. IMO you did the right thing Mr. WordSmith.
I doubt he'd be able to get anywhere near the house with all the dogs barking.
@@jenniejohnston6961 Right. I wasn't saying they should be worried. I said I would be, I worry about everything these days I guess it's part of my anxiety
You did right when he goes to court. The court will plea deal with him but at least you guys stood up for yourselves
You’re doing the right thing. I would be angry as well. Forgiveness is a must but he needs to know it’s still wrong.
This is not petty. He is a thief! He needs to be held accountable for his actions! You and Brooke are good people, so sad this happened.
You did the right thing Jasón. I am so sorry.
The bright light is all of the neighbors buying from you are honest and honorable.
(One bad apple will NOT spoil the whole bunch)
Jason, be vigilant! You are exposed to the world. I’m so sorry this happened to you and Brooke. It is so worrisome. 😢😢
That is absolutely horrible. Thank God nobody was hurt. He's the kind that if a customer rolled up on him he may have injured someone over 8 or 10 dollars. He thought he could leave his home town and rob outsiders and no one would know him, but he was wrong.
Prayers for no more degenerate people.
