You have such an honesty, friendly and lovely personality, very hard to find these days!!! What you do is beyond words. God bless you always young lady!!!❤
My daughter is 16 and she had lost her interest in archery, until she discovered your videos. She insisted I dig out the reflex/deflex bamboo backed longbow I made for her a couple of years back and now she is back to shooting most days 😊
No, it's just hot when a girl is actually good at something (other than making themselves look unnatural), it's such a rarity in today's broken world. But stop.
I don't know what I like more about you. It's either your extraordinary skills with a bow and arrow, or your facial expressions. There's everything from exuberant self-confidence to a disarmed smile...😉
Jennifer, the only step left is for you to build your own bowstring. I bet you'd be good at it. Always a pleasure watching your lessons. Thanks for Sharing!
I dont know how else to put this, vbut you are the best instinctive archer i have ever seen you are truly a master at your craft. You convey flawless timing and form i love watching your trick shots and that lil smerk you do befor ur shot is so adorable it gives me chills 😊
Hey Jennifer, I have for many years been into long range accuracy with rifle and combat handgun. But I will say, your bowmanship is unsurpassed. From one shooter to another, kudos, well done!
Ms. Jennifer...you have a calming soothing effect when you speak...and impeccable accuracy when you shoot. Thank you kindly for putting yourself out there for our joy and learning. God Bless ya Lady.
Yes, love your sport.....and expertise....add to that a lovely young lady with no UGLY tattoos.....extra special! You young ladies out there, this is what a real woman/lady looks like! God bless!
I'm watching this video mainly because you are teaching (I don't have a bow of any kind). But I love watching you shoot. Anyway my grandpa loves, loves, loves your rod and reel hanger...that's not the point of the video grandpa. That man is a fishing addict, great video Ms Jennifer.
Hello there, my sweet bride and I were yard sale hunting last week and found a couple of old recurve bows. Neither of us have ever tried it, but after watching your videos the week before, we decided we're going to start using it as a date night and hobby that we can both share together. She is totally on board because you are so personable and great at what you do. I wanted to thank you for that. I'm also running down to our local sawmill tonight to pick up 3 big tree rounds to use for knife and ax throwing. Please keep up the videos. You're an inspiration to us old fogies who are trying to spice up life and figure out the "empty nesting" deal. One last thought, how did you build your backstop. I need some direction. Thanks in advance. Also, if you start to start to sell merchandise, we will buy it all. To say thanks.😊
Just found your videos. You are such a good step by step teacher! My brother who live 4 hours away and I don’t see much of is now retired due to have a heart transplant and doing AWESOME 2 years later🎉 has mentioned that he is taking up archery . I’ll be sending him your videos. You make everything look so easy and I know that it took time for it to be or I should say for you to be as good as you are. You’ve encouraged me to look into it, so I’ll be getting more information from your videos to move forward on picking up this great hubby. Thanks for all you do.
I can imagine you get this a lot but I have to chime in you are amazing, I shoot instinctively also am defiantly not very good at it but it is very satisfying when it all comes together. Besides that you are very easy to watch doing what you do, thanks for sharing your talent!
It’s great to see the proper way to do this. I dropped mine off at our local archery shop and paid them to redo mine. It was very affordable but I’ve always wanted to do it myself, thanks 😊
@@Samsfishing1970 yes we do. We are firearms hunters but we are trying to dust off our bows and take on the real challenge. I’m so rusty on archery but this site has me inspired. I think we can do just fine with a little practice, thanks
When I was taught how to shoot back in the late 60’s , I had just 2 items. One bow and one string. We were taught by my friends oldest brother just before he left for Viet Nam. He didn’t just teach us how to shoot. He taught us and emphasized the most important thing, safety! I miss those times.
Jennifer, was waiting of ur video. 1st, bundle of thanks of giving so brief information. 2nd thanks for appearing, long time ago see you again, so happy you are fine and glowing more than before.🌹
Watching your video with interest, I learned how to do all of that from my custom bow maker who held the distinction of world champion . His son and I were shooting at bottle caps when he stepped outside Watching us for a few minutes and said "I've looked at that arrow long enough " picked up his bow and split the arrow. That was thirty years ago . My eyesight is beginning to fade , it's heart warming to see young people keeping the sport alive . I have a bow built by Paul Schaeffer before his accident . I don't know what will happen to it after I'm gone most men cannot string it much less bring it to full draw. Maybe my wife will let me take it with me. By the way , unless the rules have changed , only one nock is allowed in competition matches.
Hi JD: fantastic video! I'm kinda new to your subscription. However, I always enjoy watching your videos. You're amazing and incredibly talented! Thanks so much for sharing. Sincerely, David. 🏹💘🏹💘
Your *Organizational Management Skills* are awesome , Jen !! I've never used Limb dampeners on any of my bows....Great Tip. ! Wow...there's alot of micro details, that I was never taught on my (RUclips) Bow learning path..LOL Most of my Stick & String Set ups are done by my Bow seller....Never thought about , doing it myself..LOL Thank you for your Bow lessons of the Day .. 👏😎👍🤩👍 Feeling Grateful.
It is necessary to train every woman in the world to be talented. "May her path be clear and full of success" to the lady who discovered the success in her.
Miss, you are the greatest arher in the world. Period. And God smiles in joy when you do your archery. Don't be average in anything. God has given you abilities beyond your archery Mistress. Hail to thee, angels follow you and protect thee. Amen. I just can't believe what I've seen you do. Feel God's smiling pleasure when you exercise the amazing gift he gave you and you honed with thousands of hours of honing your art. Hail to thee MIstress, I bow my knee in total respect. God bless you, God is with thee. Amen
There is a Turtle Island Indigenous archer whom I saw on U Tube months ago. He could shoot around corners. I wish I could tell you how to get in touch with him. The two of you could probably learn from each other. Make no mistake you are very awesome!
Hi Jen! Thank you for doing what you do. I'm a big fan of yours and your videos never fail to give me a boost of inspiration to keep practicing! This is literally my first RUclips comment ever, though I utilize it everyday, so I apologize cuz I feel a little awkward quite honestly. When I first came across your videos, I was of course impressed, but I absolutely knew based on your gear and set up that you clearly knew what you were doing. I shoot a family heirloom that is similar to your Bear Archery Grizzlies, but it is a 1963 Kodiak Magnum made very close to when Fred Bear released the first batch so many years ago. I saw the same brass knocks, I'm pretty sure the same glove, the same beaverball silencers, everything very similar to my setup although I prefer the otter silencers now. The Kodiak IS rather compact for my wingspan, but I also practice instinctive archery and I'm just used to it, though I plan on getting a regular Grizzly that is much more size appropriate later this summer. I even drop the bow before I place the arrow where I want it to go, which honestly freaked me out just a little bit. Sorry I'm blabbing on and on... Anyways, I just put a new Flemish twist made out of fast flight serving and I'm just getting ready to get out there. I did have a specific question if you happen to have the time, and I also apologize if anyone has asked this before but I would like to make an archery wall a lot like yours this summer. I have plenty of space on 500 acres of Appalachian Virginia land and want to maximize the use I get out of such space with a large wall like yours. Is there any way that you could briefly describe how it is made? I've only so far managed to deduce that you've cut horse stall mats into panels and likely drove them into the outer layer with a nail gun perhaps. Much appreciated! Bryan
Young lady I’ve been doing that same similar style since 1978.I just started shooting that style the same way you did starting high and when I came to the target I shot. Seem to work for me and it felt comfortable and the results was better for me because I stayed more focused than trying to hold it a couple of seconds then shoot. Oh yeah I am not a traditional bow Hunter I shoot an Oneida Black Eagle compound bow 60 lbs. Stick to your own style because you are far better than myself!
How long have you been into archery? You're amazingly akward, and so very awesome! 🙂 I love the fact that you do everything yourself, and you're so knowledgeable about everything. Not to mention an immaculate shot! If you'd add that up, it'd equal one very atractive, and educational girl, that's a badass with a bow! Hope your arrow flew right the first shot. Have a great day!
You are very accurate with the bow but I wonder how many times you miss before you hit what your aiming at. I have been shooting recurve and longbows for over 40 years and I have seen trick shooters struggle to hit their targets. I think you should have explained the process of using a stringer. I am very impressed with your accuracy.
I took an archery class in college. They taught us how to put a string on a recurve bow, but ninety-nine percent of what you're talkin about was never discussed. Almost as though they didn't take us very seriously as potential archers.
The strings were probably already setup, all you most likely had to do was to string it onto the bow, anyone can be a proficient archer with a lot of practice.
I don't know if they were set up or not. I would have liked to have had the opportunity to learn more though. This was pre-internet and I didn't know there were gaps in my education that I could possibly have addressed in the library.
You are very good with a bow. I member when i was young I shot a regular bow with one string .I shot about 50 to 80 ft air that fun. Hope meet one day.Keep up.
So... I like what you say and do. However, some things you say are lost in audio. Some things you explain are not understandable because its spoken too fast, also, I'm shure you speak as a matter of fact that most of us might know. However some things need more explanation or to be defined , you were talking about the piece you installed on the limbs, called limb dampeners. I could barely understand what you were saying because you spoke too fast. And with that said, I think you should do a video about the bow we use today and what it consists of and the names of all the parts , what they do and why. Also. Where can you actually buy these things, like the knock poins on the string. The strings, the tools the protective plastic at the knock that the arrows slide accross, the string silencers, quivers and so on. Just so you know. You are awsome , I like watching your videos. Peace be on your house and thanks.
I love that you’re as good as you are, yet still human and shy when your neighbor is watching! You’re crushing it though, so own it!
u no...alot of ppl r still human...Chris...hey...i dig u like her....but how old r u....what 12.....i get that....
