My Los Angeles Marathon weekend (my first marathon)

My first marathon. 40 years old and doing something I didn’t think I could ever do. Los Angeles put on a great marathon. Also did the LA big 5k on Saturday
La 5k. Time 23:41 (7:37 mile)
Marathon: 3:54:56. (8:57 mile)

Same here, 40 and did the LA marathon last weekend. The rollers killed me but I survived. All for fun and health! COngratulations on the finish!

Congrats on the race. I already signed up for next year and will at least have a idea what I’m am getting myself into this time lol.

This was lily first Marathon also. Didn't train 1 day lol, dumbest thing I ever did.... took me 6:40 smh. Felt like my ankles were broken 🤦🏽‍♂️ Training now for next year....

Yeah I am all signed up for next year. Couldn’t imagine not training and going into it cold. That takes some courage right there.
