Others have done Monster Hunter lore before, but this David Attenborough approach is fucking awesome. Didn't know I needed this. I bet the developers were thinking about this when designing all of these little details in World.
I can only imagine, hahaha. I wish I could have just sat in on one of their discussion of ecology between the monsters. That would have been absolutely fascinating!
I honestly can't think of another game that's got something even CLOSE to the level of interactions the monsters have in this game. It really is a living, breathing WORLD.
@@MsGers2 rdr2 is much better for human interaction, but as far as the natural story telling goes, as well as the interactions between differnt species, they are two entirely differnt breeds of story telling. Its like comparing apples to oranges. Red dead would be better compared to a game like fallout and the like, where it shits on the competition by a metric ton. But MHW is better compared to something like ARK.
This is what I like about monster hunter. They didnt just made the monsters as random evil that you need to kill like most monster killing games, they actully made the monsters a natrual part of the eco system. The monsters are basically more like animals then monsters, and I love it.
omg this is so awesome, I love the cinematography and narration! I always wanted to see the natgeo-esque documentary but with MH creatures, thanks to the velkhana tweet I found your channel. Subscribed, and keep up the amazing job!
This series is awesome. The part where the Jyuratodus ambushed the Barroth genuinely caught me off guard, I thought it would be more like a turf war, but the way it was a surprise attack was a lot cooler.
@@GlydeBorealis I know, but typically it starts with them both facing off before Jyuratodus attacks Barroth. In this, the Barroth never even saw the Jyuratodus coming.
the presence of not one but SEVERAL high level documentary series dedicated to the fictional ecosystems of Monster Hunter speak to what World, in particular, was able to realize. 'Discourse' aside World just hit different. I think it does great respect to the artists and developers who created it but also to the intellectual curiosity of people that we now have a good selection of fictional documentaries dedicated to MH. Especially good to see how you've included the endemic life! They are often overlooked but in the context of the world they would be just as important as the wyverns in their own ways! Anyway this is great work and it genuinely enriches the total experience of playing World.
Much as I'd love to, he's not in MHW. I could attempt something similar once RISE comes to PC. But from what I can tell, the ecology in RISE doesn't quite compare. We'll see when the time comes!
might I have an estimation on when nargacuga comes out? or is the choice decided by people who have a few extra bucks to spend on patreon? cause, I'm telling you now, I got jack squat I can spare. (no rudeness intended, not very versed in the ways of social behavior)
i have no idea if you edit this or not, but how do you look above the waste land and monsters, and follow monsters without your character be there? if that a mod
The Waste is not true desert and more akin to badlands It's also adjacent to the more temperate Ancient Forest so it's safe to assume that place isn't as hot as other desert maps fom past games

Monster Hunter’s gotta have the most fleshed out world of any video game, ever. Nothing else goes into this much detail. I love it

@@GlydeBorealis I agree! And it is and will continue to RISE
Look I like MHW as much as the next guy but let’s be real here, RDR2 beats this game in terms of world interaction by MILES.
If by "world", you mean "natural world", then yeah. It's the best we've got by far.

My sentiments exactly!
Cool, never seen things that focused on Barroth
No words, it’s incredible the amount of content one can get out of a game, incredible, no! Wonderful job!
Really miss this on Rise
Thank you! and yes I agree TwT
Incredible work! The overhead shots were done outstandingly well
Of all the things I've recorded that one is one of my favorites.
I love how beautiful the river part of the WW is
Likewise! That overhead shot that I did is one of my favorites!

Thanks man Barroth is my favorite monster this means a lot

World really does hit different though. I agree with everything you said!
I giggled like crazy when the cactaur ran across the screen
Ahahaha yeah. They definitely add some personality to the place xD
I love the effort you did for this work. Keep being passionate about monster hunter and biology, you do great videos!
This is so cool, can't wait for the next one
Yes, another one of my favorites!
So glad I found this channel. Great content!
GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS!!!
Thank you!!
Great watch!
I bet whenever a barroth eats fire ants their spicy.
Absolutely fantastic job!
This is actually so cool!
Masterpiece
Astounding work.
Another great look at life the new world
I love Barroth
Incredible mud monster life
This is amazing 😍 would you please make a video for the mizutsune?

@@demondude1237 I don't actually have a patreon at the moment lol. I create based on what I feel like making at a given time.
@@GlydeBorealis fair enough.
My favourite mid tier monster. A scrappy though little brute wyvern. They get rid of the vespoids and body slam and bulldoze the stupid fish
Would I be allowed to use clips from this my videos? (Crediting you, of course)
It would be an honor! Thank you for asking for permission! From one MH Ecologist to another! =D
@@GlydeBorealis Epic, thanks so much!
@@unnaturalhistorychannel let me know when that's done!

Barroth, the best mud puppy
💯 percent good

Yes it's a free cam mod!
ok so hear me out......rocky mud beaver.....
A rock T rex
They look like really tiny arms , don’t they
I was first disappointed when we do not need cool drink when you wonder around at this place during the day.

How bout Paolumu next?
Eventually!
lol tried so hard to find this video
Glad you were able to find it then! :D
This isn’t real right
What do you mean?
Until now, I had no idea that Barroth poops
That dung had to have come from somewhere xD
