Paper Mario and TTYD are two of my favorite games of all time, it's such a shame that the franchise is totally dead now... though I didn't totally hate Super Paper Mario on the Wii, it was quite enjoyable for what it was.. the other 2 though.. kill me please...
This might interest you!: Paper Mario: The Rewind Chronicles, an amazing fanmade idea of a true TTYD sequel, (not an actual game, sadly) has the one of the best fanmade soundtracks ever! (Complete with Story & Art!) The creator of the fanmade idea, Renzo S., is a channel I highly recommend subscribing to! Go to a playlist called Paper Mario The Rewind Chronicles Music Reorganized for the best list of it's 85+ original music tracks!
Well, there's only Epic Paper Mario & Paper Mario: Colors of Creation in that case, both of which are SPM successors that seem to be progressing rather slowly.
"Totally dead" just doesn't seem accurate. Color Splash certainly didn't match the grandeur of the original trilogy, but it wasn't a bad game. It had some cool mechanics, charming dialogue, wonderful music, hardly unsalvageable as a whole.
Paper Mario being a Mario clone would make about as much sense as Ganondorf being a Captain Falcon clone. Meaning it could happen but it shouldn't because it's bullshit. That said, Waluigi should be playable before Paper Mario.
I never had a GameCube or a wii with GameCube support that could play these first 2 paper Marios , yet I’m attached to them more than any of the other mario games, I only ever watched play throughs of it when I was younger and I fell in love with both of them. the story, atmosphere, puzzles and combat all were thoroughly enjoyed by me even though I never even played them. THATS how good these games are
Paper Mario Series Paper Mario - A fun little game with a lot of good content. TTYD - One of the best RPGs ever made with a surprising depth to build styles, combat and tactics as well as a strong story and great characters to boot. (But doesn't contain Bow, 0/10) SPM - As far as I understand the game was really good as an rpg/platformer and had a stronger main story than either title before it. Sticker Star - No one likes ammo systems in and RPG when they can't easily get more. Color Splash - Seems to be running with the same ammo system, and has changed up the graphic formula in a really disturbing and off putting way. The popup book style is so nice, I hate to see any of that go.
@Pen Bashiro, MD Main difference is 64 has easier fights so the different tactics can even make the hardest NPC, the final master, a punching bag if you have the right requirements. Earlygame he's basically impossible though.
+rjdk24 My personal list is (Best to Worst) 1. The Thousand Year Door 2. Super Paper Mario 3. Paper Mario 64 4. (Probably) Color Splash 5. Sticker Star
I hate that now Paper Mario is pimping the paper aesthetic. Why they originally made the characters 2D and worlds 3D is beyond me. It was okay that they added some paper mechanics like the airplane, turning flat to slip between cracks, etc. Making everything look like it's made out of cardboard is too much Imo, as is adding 'real life' stuff like the thing cards and all that. I prefer not mixing my realities, not in video games anyway (drugz yo).
One of my favorite games of all time. No mention of the Peach segments, Jirard? Those are great! They have Peach helping out with taking Bowser down, as opposed to her usual Stuck Doing Nothing role.

I'm aware of this project already, but it's only art (and music I guess) so I really don't care about it, I want gameplay lol
The Sticker/Card games i acually loved
Paper Mario being a Mario clone would make about as much sense as Ganondorf being a Captain Falcon clone.
Meaning it could happen but it shouldn't because it's bullshit.
That said, Waluigi should be playable before Paper Mario.
Paper Mario: Shit Splash
Including:
-More monotonous fights
-More shitty gimmicks
-And more Toads than ever!
Buy now for $60.00!
Shit dude, people are actually gonna pay 60 dollars for Color Splash....That's gonna keep me up at night.
Let me guess, with all of this hate towards Color Splash, people who think of it positively will be drowning in death threats?
Nah man, the games comin out regardless of what any of us say so, have fun paying 60 real dollars for the game and playing it.
Yeah, I think of it like that. Me personally? I would not spend $60 on something like that.
What I meant by that is, people openly saying how "this game looks good" or whatever, people will start a flame war, over an opinion
THATS how good these games are
I did NOT expect to hear some Groovitron music in a Paper Mario video. Good tastes, whoever put that in.
Paper Mario Series
Paper Mario - A fun little game with a lot of good content.
TTYD - One of the best RPGs ever made with a surprising depth to build styles, combat and tactics as well as a strong story and great characters to boot. (But doesn't contain Bow, 0/10)
SPM - As far as I understand the game was really good as an rpg/platformer and had a stronger main story than either title before it.
Sticker Star - No one likes ammo systems in and RPG when they can't easily get more.
Color Splash - Seems to be running with the same ammo system, and has changed up the graphic formula in a really disturbing and off putting way. The popup book style is so nice, I hate to see any of that go.
WRONG! TTYD DOES contain Bow! You can find her in Poshley Heights!
Kebab at least colour splash was funny. Like, really funny
@Pen Bashiro, MD Main difference is 64 has easier fights so the different tactics can even make the hardest NPC, the final master, a punching bag if you have the right requirements. Earlygame he's basically impossible though.
woah woah woah, who the hell is that? thats not miyamoto. thats some asian guy
Alex is known to change his form. He said he was the one interviewed about star fox zero. Beard bros loreL
He's eiji aonuma, creator of dark souls.
Braden Cleur of course, how stupid could i be, not believing in the one true god miyalexamoto
b-but no, thats not how this works, thats not how any of this works, aonuma does not make darksouls
typhlosion9999 Lets play
well aonuma makes game that are kinda like dark souls, so he might as well do dark souls.
Even though thousand year door is considered the best I like this one better
Depends on who you ask. Most agree the original is the best.
+Tyler Roberts I believe TTYD is considered the best by fans. That's last I heard
i consider paper mario 64 > thousands year door, super paper mario > sticker star
+rjdk24 My personal list is (Best to Worst)
1. The Thousand Year Door
2. Super Paper Mario
3. Paper Mario 64
4. (Probably) Color Splash
5. Sticker Star
Agreed. This game does a lot of things better than TTYD.
"Name? Mario last name? Mario" 😂 I brought this on my Wii U along with Castlevania Aria of Sorrow today
Bowser’s sneaky Star Wars reference 17:53
What a nostalgia bomb!~
Completionist: Pokemon GO
Is this possible?
Not yet because the legendaries and the other Generations are still not in the game
+DanSollaccio So, he can still complete the game. If those things aren't in the game then it doesn't matter to complete the game.
It'll get views...
Today I'm playing paper mario for the first time. I'm blown away how well it's all put together.
1:44 "Square making hit after hit"
Picture of Mystic Quest.
Very funny, Jirard
Paper Mario Cancer Splash.
But what about the breakdancing pig?!
It's not worth slogging through what is likely to be a punishing disaster of a game.
Paper Mario STD Star
Of Course (Screw Nintendo)
raptors
I can't find your review of the first Mario RPG
WHEN ARE YOU GONNA DO DA MARIO ALL-STAR PACK
I f***ing love this game! You feel so accomplished when you beat it.
Oh, the music at the beginning of the story section gave me such an immediate rush of nostalgia. The music was awesome in that game too.
Last time I was this early people didn't make these shitty comments.
Completionist, please play super Paper Mario, its even in the background! We know you own it! Please play it its so amazingly awesome!
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam shows Paper Mario is a separate character.
One of my favorite games of all time.
No mention of the Peach segments, Jirard? Those are great! They have Peach helping out with taking Bowser down, as opposed to her usual Stuck Doing Nothing role.
Dude this video was great! Thank so very much for covering paper Mario
