Timothée Hal Chalamet was born in Manhattan, to Nicole Flender, a real estate broker and dancer, and Marc Chalamet, a UNICEF editor. His mother, who is from New York, is Jewish, of Russian Jewish and Austrian Jewish descent. His father, who is from Nîmes, France, is of French and English ancestry. He is the brother of actress Pauline Chalamet, a nephew of director Rodman Flender, and a grandson of screenwriter Harold Flender.
He grew up in an artistic family, appearing in commercials and the New York theatre scene, and attending the LaGuardia High School of Music, Art and Performing Arts, where his classmate and friend was actor Ansel Elgort (the two later received their first Golden Globe nominations in the same year, 2017). For a time, Timothée also attended Columbia University.

The movie was decent. Yeah, everyone was surprised that it was a musical because the trailers didn’t show any of the songs & left it a mystery & obviously Gene Wilder’s one was the only one at the time that was a full on musical because Johnny Depp’s film only had like at least 1 or 2 songs but that was it which was why everyone was left to believe that this wasn’t going to be a musical. But yeah, it was a decent movie but ultimately isn’t as good as the previous 2.

I just saw it last night.. I loved it!! Very whimsical, funny, and the dancing is great... He played his character beautifully!!! Hugh Grant was hilarious!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!!!!

Saw the movie yesterday, even if it's pegi 6+ got it's deep moments, meanwhile the songs and jokes makes it's a quality movie, absolutely worth the ticket.

I just saw the movie and omg it’s so good
For anyone who wants to know, the town they are filming in is called Lyme Regis, it’s located In Dorset in England, i live a 5 minute car ride from it, they cgi most the town into it but the wall and docks they used was Lyme, they also cgi the lighthouse in

people who didn't watch this video in 2021 or 2022 are very lucky because this scene would of spoiled it for them
I saw the film just because of him. All the actors were fabulous but I thought the script was not that great. I would have liked it to live up to the Willy Wonka original Wanka scrpt which was aimed at adults as well as kids. This film seems to be aimed at kids. But it seems Timothee' can do no wrong. And I'm can't wait for the second part of Dune to open.

Tom Holland started his career performing in a musical show "Billy Elliot The Musical", so he is not a stranger to singing and dancing. Timothée Chalamet has been chosen to play Willy Wonka because he is perfect for this role, not because of his singing. And his role in "Sweet Charity" was the only musical role he had even though it was directed by his teacher in LaGuardia. So you may say that Timmy is making his musical debut with the title role in "Wonka".

I feel like I’m the only one that saw this (after reading comments too) and thought it was bad? Like there is no depth to his voice at all this is so monotone and flat and bad. And there was not a sign of singing in the trailer which is so violently concerning.
