So it's a bit like running Beetrix, and having to UNLEARN the habit of taking every green/brown 4-match you see, because the more green/brown you leave available when casting her, the higher chance of nailing an extra turn (even if her 50/50 fails you).
If my Bee is charged I often leave the Green and Brown 4 matches anyway if I already got the Extra Turn as they are 'already there' and that helps her next cast 🙂
Other abilities/spells show the amount of relevant gems on the board. For example, the Onyx Giant. For some dumb reason, the wand only shows elemental/umbral stars. If it showed all gems, you'd have a nice quick way to gauge what gem spread is more likely to work. Doubt they will ever address this though..
Couple other tips I use. Troops like venoxia/queenB are great cause they produce lots of the first wand color. Maybe more reliable than a storm. Also leprechaun is good to get wand charged up again when it fails. Also, umbral fails much more often so I tend to use it only when there's a *huge* amount of yellow/purple or when I really need curse
Yep they are good - but you need to cast them to start that off - and often unless you can get going in 1 or 2 rounds, the enemy Wand kicks off and you can be screwed. A storm, and dual storm from a troop that creates one each turn is guaranteed right from the start of the game. Curse is vital at times to remove Submerge etc so I often use it for that too 🙂
I haven't felt like wand is less reliable recently, but the opponent looping it for pre-nerf journey troops amount of times happens to me a lot, lmao. I've even had situations where it was the only enemy left and I still had 4, only to have to sit there watching it skull and debuff my team to oblivion 🤣

I haven't had any problems with wand of stars but I only cast the first one. My thinking is the first one is good for me so it will work 100% of the time. If I cast the 2nd one there's a chance those spells won't work on the enemy. I'm into fast wins so I'm not going to take the time to find out if the 2nd one will work or not.
Not quite sure what you mean, as there are definitely times it is better cast the second option (Vs submerged enemies when your using a damage to all team for example), but have fun 😀

True! I often go by the positioning of the colours as well as the amount, so I don't miss the numbers being shown personally 🙂

I often take out the enemy Wand first for exactly that reason - that and it's annoying 🤣🤣
