    A lot of camper vans are just used by a couple and therefore only need two passenger seats. This gives more layout options like the U shaped lounge. It would be good to see more on these.

      A lot of my filming was based on my own van so a bit biased. But will look out for alternative layouts. Cheers

    Good video series.
    We had a side kitchen layout previously on a Toyota but this time decided on an end kitchen layout on a T6. This allows us to have a cassette toilet fitted, and to cook without encroaching on the dining area. In this configuration we have the option of 2 single beds or a large double, albeit that it does take a bit longer to set up at night. We had a real issue with the seat height of all the RIB seats we tried, which is not an issue in our layout.
    We also opted for a hightop which you didn't touch on. This gives us more storage and better insulation whilst still allowing me to use it as a daily driver.
    On a pedantic note may I point out that the plural of "roof" is "roofs" and not "rooves".

      Thanks for all your useful points. Looks like I'm going to have to do a more detailed video on roofs! As for spelling, "rooves" - apparently it was still in regular use in the 18th century! Older than I look!

    Great video, would be good to see some alternative layouts included such as rear elevating and rear kitchen layouts.

      Will certainly consider a more focused video on layout choices. Thanks.

    Great video, but why no mention of price. I’m still none the wiser as to whether I should buy a ready converted van or a empty van🤷‍♂️

      Hi! The reason I've not included prices is because they vary so much... partly because converter's charges different rates for doing the work... but also because price will be hugely affected by what soec you want.... feratures/accessories etc. So any fugure i suggested is unlikeky to fit the specifics. I really think it's a case of deciding what your budget is first... then seeing what existing camper or conversion package gives you the most for your money.

      @@Thecampervanchannel ok no worries. To give me a idea though, would you be willing to say how much your conversion cost?

    Great series of videos. I am looking for a transporter van. The conversion i want done insist on two single front seats but this is very scarce on van market. Is it straightforward to switch to single passenger seat or is it very involved regarding air bags etc?

    Hi Chris,cracking video as always.Is there anything you would change regarding your conversion if you could turn the clock back.What made you choose 8 ball camper conversions to do your conversion.Can Colin and his team find you a transporter to buy so they can convert it fir you.

    • @Thecampervanchannel
      @Thecampervanchannel  3 года назад +1

      Wouldn't change anything to be honest. Suited my purposes because van used as a daily drive too. Maybe would have gone long wheelbase if if had somewhere to park it! 8 ball were pretty local to me... but we also liked their designs. Clean and simple. No fuss. Plus I liked that Colin and Co told us the things we didn't need! So no hard sell. They MIGHT know of vans to convert through dealer contacts, but in the end I think everyone ends up searching online because it's so efficient...and you can specify exactly what you want. There seems to be a huge demand at the moment; keeping prices high....so would love to hear from others if they're noticing that! (Good luck with your search....Will be totally worth the effort!)
