Fun fact:
In an interview, Grebennikov said that he actually played as an outside hitter in high school(I think, I forgot). His coach, his dad, saw that he lacked jumping and spike power compared to the entire team, he decided to make him a libero then, the rest was history.
"Lacked jumping", yet he can touch 345 😭
"And after that , the best libero of the history was borned " 😂 great story

Because they are pro players
Also like my coach for example, got hurt as a wing spiker so he switched to libero, so maybe they just hit once and it aint bad but they cant play those roles anymore so they went to libero.
Liberos are short, but they're like 165-180 cm tall, so they're not really short actually, they're tall enought to spike. But with their height they can't effectively attack, so they become liberos.
P/s: I'm Vietnamese, sorry if my English sucks...

They are professional players. Also, keep in mind that liberos at a high level are anything in between 183-190cm tall while also being athletic so yeah, they can still spike.

Because everyone is good to attack during warm-up without any type of block and with perfect sets, if you pay attention you will see that the liberos hit the ball just a little more than the net, this means that even with a little block they will never be able to spike

Haikyuu really milked out the whole short libero thing. Like these guys are short for volleyball standards but an average libero is 6 feet!
Yea but they are asian. A lot of us are really small and most of those small ones are really athletic. It’s not milking when it’s actually possible and pretty common

I've always thought that Grebennikov was perfect as a setter like Toniutti and Brizzard. But he proved that he can be the best libero in the world.
Grebennikov Will be good attacker in other country(clubs)
He normally was as he is 1m88 but his father told him to go to libero so he was forced to be a libero and now is one of the best libero :D

In philippines, liberos are not allowed to spike😭😭
Codie Bernardo liberos can't spike at all. it's in the rules. the clips where liberos spiked in the game were just for fun and the point was immediately given to the other team.
As you can see in the videos, Most powerful spikes coming from the libero are warm up practice. You can check Dusaran spike from UST Libero 😂
The official worldwide volleyball rule is that a libero can spike if the ball is not above the net the moment of contact (meaning that probably the libero wont even jump to spike it)
@@kostasdena3154 when the ball is lower than the net, physically u can't spike but technically u can by spinning the ball and angle it up ward. U'll' know what I mean if u play vollyball
