  • German Economy Minister Robert Habeck is in China to discuss trade relations, but a planned meeting with Premier Li Qiang (LEE CHI-ANG) was cancelled at the last minute without explanation. The cancellation comes amid growing Chinese anger over EU plans to increase tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. Habeck said the EU was open to negotiate but said China's backing for Russia's war on Ukraine was what was really damaging trade relations. DW’s China analyst Clifford Coonan has more details.

Fortunately, after this stage, comes "stage of acceptance" i.e. stage of beginning to take responsibility for causing it. Before the war between Russia and Ukraine, there had been trade exchanges between China and Russia, and this has been the case for many years. Why, when you two countries are at war, do you force the Chinese not to do business? Then, will you compensate for the losses of Chinese enterprises caused by this? How will the common people who rely on China-Russia trade make a living? The most ridiculous thing is that Germany is still quietly purchasing Russian oil. Among the accessories and dual-use products of Russian weapons and equipment, 60% come from the United States and the West. It's too absurd and bullying!
