Ok, I see! Thank you! The focus was on long distance travel throughout the country and not shorter trips! Thank you for the great guidance you offer on this channel!

You're welcome! I'm glad the guidance was helpful. Even though the focus was on long-distance travel, many of the pricing insights and tips can still be very applicable to short-term travelers looking to manage costs effectively while exploring New Zealand.

Please specify US Gallon or Imperial Gallon when you quote ltrs to gallon conversion rate. They are ver different

You're right, and I appreciate the reminder! There's indeed a significant difference between the US gallon and the Imperial gallon when converting from liters. For clarity, when discussing fuel prices or consumption, we always refer to US Gallons and liters.

    What happened to Uber?

I used UBER a few times in NZ last year. I still get a daily email from them offering a takeaway meal delivery. I’m now back in U.K.!

Uber does exist in NZ but is defo not a "travel method" when it comes to visiting the country. For this reason we did not include it.

Gas right now at BP is $3 a litre but Pak N Save gas station is always best, which currently is $2.77 🫠

Thanks for sharing that tip! Fuel prices can indeed vary significantly between locations. Pak N Save stations often offer competitive prices, making them a popular choice for filling up. Keeping an eye on prices like you're doing is a smart way to save on gas during your travels in New Zealand. Drive safe and enjoy the journey!
