Dude I know exactly where you're coming from & from that perspective, you're 100% correct. IMO you're looking at this as car replacement or even a bike replacement. Your Master would fit both of those usage but Mten4 wont. As a Mten3 owner, I can honestly say its a legs replacement. Any place anywhere you need to walk to, thats where the Mten3/4 shines. I use my Mten3 to get to the corner store, the mailbox, browsing flea mkts, fairs, etc etc...you name it. So long's its walking, then I take the Mten3. & in that use case, its freakin amazing. Its also a great way to spend an hr in a parking lot while waiting for the SO. Just saying, diff jobs diff tools. We need a screwdriver just as much as we need a hammer 😁
@@Ronin_Ryder Funny you mentioned this. TBH I'm not sure the plastics of the mten3 isnt as good (or dare I say better) then the metal frame of the 4. God knows how many times I've dumped it & even had a speed cutout. Suffice to say my mten3 survived the cutout with nothing more than a missing spin button & some scratches. I wish I was that lucky but I digress.
Thanks for your nicely edited video. I think you are evaluating the mten4 the way you are evaluating a regular EUC and that's why you felt that way. When I first got my Mten3, I felt the same way. But after I rode with it for a while and got used to it, then I really appreciated how maneuverable it is, how it improved my riding skills, etc. So IMHO I would say it's not a toy but a training tool. If your goal is to go from point A to point B in the fastest and most efficient way, then this is not the wheel for you. If you want to ride for pleasure or for improving your skills, Mten3 is pretty good for that and I look forward to the mten4. BTW, Begode is now selling a trolley handle for it.

Loved the video but I think your expectation of what the mten4 was supposed to be was a bit screwed. You’re not wrong at all but maybe just your initial expectations. It is not a replacement wheel by any means but rather and quick errands, fun ride toy. It’s in no way gonna compare to a 16inch 30mph+ wheel, however due to its compact size it’d take this over other wheels with a -25mph cap. Can’t beat its amazing portability. It’s an improvement over the mten3. The mten4 actually feels stable. My old mten3 was like a squirrel with ADHD. This wheel just brings back feelings of joy I used to feel when 1st learning to riding. I’m not concerned about going fast and just having fun. Also feels nice to not have the need to fully gear up for battle when riding down 3 blocks. It should be noted that this is a bike lane and sidewalk wheel. Please don’t share the road with cars haha you’re gonna eat pavement 😂
This review should be for those new to the community. Anyone already knowledgeable about euc's should know you don't buy this wheel for commuting, comfort, or build quality. I would add that there are still positive things to gain from this wheel, mainly skills that would be hard to practice like riding backwards.
What about the cutout due to bad quality? And the whole low quality build out? Experienced riders should be fine to cutout? I doubt it thats why i took this stance. FYI, Experienced riders can ride backwards with any wheel including Master pro….

Also yeah I’ve seen some other people reporting issues with the power plug so that’s not good. What else do you think is good as a small portable wheel? KS-14D/S? Mten3? V5F?

I don’t think it’s an insult to call it a toy. That’s what I call my mten3. However I think you have a fair point that the review wasn’t considering a 10” wheel on its own terms. Cutting out is obviously a defect for any wheel

Good to know esp. as a fellow New Yorker. I have a V11 and am selling my V10. I’ve wanted this one for portability but might go back to a plain scooter. Maybe even a Xootr just to avoid the bus. I don’t ride my V11 often b/c I feel the need to gear up in the street.

I totally don't understand the point of Mten4, if it is relatively small and claims to be portable, then why is it so heavy, almost 14kg. Begode used to make Gotway Luffy 200w which weight around 7kg and was even smaller, now that was portable - could easily fit into any backpack, unfortunately they stopped producing it.
I like your stuff Ronin buttt Emmm, the Master has the worst build I would say, Wires are fully exposed with cheap parts that break apart so easily with the slightest of drops.

I like my MTEN3 as a last-mile commute wheel. There is no way I can use my Sherman Max with Path(subway from NJ to NY), and there is no road I can ride my Sherman from Jersey City to Manhattan

Sorry, this review is coming from a guy who never rode a tiny wheel and is not used to the feel and doesn't seem to be having the agility for it (at least not yet) Sorry, gotta say it. You are used to big wheels and biased to the comfort and stability of them. Tiny wheels are good for honing tricks and backwards riding practice and require more riding time to get used to.
It is an Electric Unicycle and a toy. It can be both. It don't have to be one or the other. same can be said for all EUCs, they are toys because after all they are not cars and are illegal on the street If you say it is not a EUC, then at what height, weight, speed does it become one? That is a never ending and dumb rabbit hole that no one will agree on....therefore it is both

That's what I did bro, sold my Tesla V2 and bought a Kaabo Wolf King GT scooter, AWD, and 67mph ;) Just bought an Mten4 to keep in the car.

Its a nightmare to transport a wheel from NJ to NY indeed. I did with the monster pro once and i still remember it as it was so painful….
It's ok with a boat, but it's expensive compared to the subway.
