I always get hit with the “enjoy your meal” “y-you too” situation

Haha I love seeing the more human side of the artists I like, it’s weirdly inspiring.
My most awkward moment, was when this guy with a clipboard was standing outside a local grocery store asking for money and signatures for something and I saw he was speaking to someone so I thought this is my chance to avoid social interaction and tried to get by but he caught me. So he gives me the speech and I awkwardly, explain I have no money because I don't carry cash and apologize. He then compliments my appearance and I forget what I'm wearing so I look down to check and say, "oh...um...thanks I got dressed?" 🤦♀️ Unfortunately that is not the end of this awkward exchange.
I go in get my groceries and come out and he asks me to write down my name and number at least since I don't have cash. So I ask how that will help his cause. And he smiles and hands me the clipboard and says, "Nah, so I can call you." *my brain still not working*
Me: Oh that's nice, but I don't think my husband would like me talking on the phone with some other guy.
Him: He doesn't have to know. I can take you out.
Me: *clicks in my brain that he's not asking for my number so we can be friends* Oh, I can't I have kids at home to take care of so...
Him: I love kids
Me:*internally panicking trying to walk away* Well they're shy and I better go and..... *gestures to groceries*
I walked to my car and drove away as fast as possible dying of embarrassment.
I'm really socially awkward so I relate to this so much lol

I'm so fucking awkward.
I've told baristas and servers "you too" when they say "enjoy", stared at someone for about 10 solid seconds wondering why they were sticking their hand out not realizing they were trying to shake my hand (because who does that anymore), forgotten my own name and birthday (many many times) and then tried to explain that I'm not stealing someone's identity I'm just a ball of anxiety.
Everytime im in my 6th period TRIG class i get the notifications for these and cause im always done early it gives me something to watch. So thanks, The Andy Show for giving me somthing to watch while stuck here. Love you all 😂🖤🖤🤘🤘
I never know what to do when they offer water at the end of an appointment (usually a massage or something). They give you the glass at the desk whilst you pay. The waiting area is very small and I awkwardly sit down and drink the whole glass as fast as I can without it looking like I’m chugging. I don’t even want the whole glass but I feel like I have to finish it so I can put it on the desk and silently leave before I get too awkward.
The stress gone from before the massage is quickly coming back 😂
