Navigation Explained | Africa Eco Race

Equipped with nothing but an odometer, compass and a road book, the competitors have to ride through the challenging terrains of Sahara Desert for 12 days straight while constantly analyzing the track ahead. Together with high speeds, extreme weather and maintenance of the vehicles, Africa Eco Race remains to be one of the most difficult challenges in the rally world. But how do the competitors find the right way to go in the middle of nowhere? After all, one wrong turn is enough to get lost.
