@Dave_segars- Thats because the pioneers have a sen. of 88 Db, @ 1 Watt, @ 1 Meter. They need a more powerful amplifier to shine. Almost any low wattage speaker, will play louder, than a higher power handling speaker, off of a Lower power. The pioneer plays a wider bandwidth, is Less harsh, and sounds better with more power. I have 4 of these Pioneer Tweeters, that come in the component sets with the Pioneer Mid Woofers, that are ran off a JP 2,000 watt 5ch amplifier, they sound Awesome! The 5th ch. Powers 2-12" 2000 Watt Pioneer Champion Series Pro subwoofers, in a ported enclosure.
I have always loved the highs from the Boss tweeters. Especially the boss titanium bullet tweeters. The TW-30's are my favorite! If you haven't already heard them, they are a great pair of tweeters for the price. They are very loud and hit those real high frequencies...
Can you make more tests with the Machete? It seems like a good sized tweeter with good output, its not too big or bulky for ppl that dont want to make large cut outs on their cars
I hate pro audio speakers..they usually sound like shit..the pioneer speakers sound best ... those hi res specs mean nothinb because we can not hear more than 20k hz and thats rare..i can barely hear above 16k ... the ds18 are far shit then the machete.. great video, i was actually impressed 👏 better than those other shit comparison videos
Bro iwanted to know about car amplifier and component speakers rms and ohms matching because i bought pioneer zf8550bt with audison mono amp 85watt x 4 @ 4ohms and components 115 watts rms 4 ohms i am getting very loud and high treble and i hate that and my amp is heatup and turn off please suggest me what to do i am fed up with my car audio please reply thanks
Your Audison amp if its a 4ch., isn't a mono amp= only 1 channel. But if you mean its a 4 channel amp, & your running it bridged (Mono) per side= channels 1 & 2 bridged to (1)- 4 ohm speaker, then channels 3, & 4 bridged to (1)- 4 ohm speaker, this would be why your amp would be getting hot= (going into protect), & shutting off. When you bridge 2 channels of an amplifier, it halves the impedance internally. So if your amp is only 4 ohm stable, 4 ohm bridged= 2 ohms internal. I have seen 2 ohm rated stable 4ch. amps wired to 2 ohms, & still get too hot, & shut off. If its not that, make sure your amps ground wire is good enough= tight enough, thick enough wire, great contact= sand off paint, to have a bare metal contact, etc. Last thing is ✔️ your speakers actual impedance= it might be Lower than you think/advertised, or it may be damaged. Hope this helps!?
@@evilinside5984 i did'nt bridged audison 4.300 4ch amp which is 85watts x 4ch @ 4ohms my front audison components are 115 watts @ 4ohms and rear jl audio 60 watts these 4 speakers are running with audison amp only and for subwoofer i have pioneer dx874 4ch hi res amp which i have bridged for subwoofer only which is hertz dieci ds 30.3 250 watts rms @4ohms now my problem is when i increase the gain of front speakers it gets distortion thats why i am setting my gain very low minimum at 36 volume in pioneer head unit it has 40 maximum and for rear speakers setting gain little bit more compare to front gain then i get sound clarity that too minimum sound at max 40 volume of head unit
Hey Mike, greetings from Florida! I love music and I'm trying to upgrade my sound system on my ford f150 for a clean and quality sound system I've been doing a research for over a month now on speakers and stuff, I think I've watched every single video of yours about comparison and reviews and I'm still having a really hard time to decide what speakers to get for a complete round up in my truck, I do everything my self I've done all the mods on my truck my self with passion and I love it, but I really need your help Mike please what do you recommend for me, I'm trying to keep the price reasonable since it's really hard to make money and I don't want to be disappointed again with my choices, I've just ordered a recoil class D 4ch amp 2ohm-4ohm stable with 300rms at 2ohm x 4 and 210 rms at 4ohm x4 noise ratio 85db and frequency 15hz - 25khz and trying to find the best affordable speakers that would complete my set up. I'm going to do a sound deadinng on all doors as well, I recently bout a Polk Audio amp(wich I'm returning tomorrow due to overheating) to replace it with the recoil amp above👆 Currently the Polk Audio is running my jbl GTO939 6x9 Coaxial 100w rms 300w peak on the front and the jbl GTO629 6.5 2way Coaxial 60w rms 180w peak on the rear, also a different amp for my 2x12" mtx subs, Im using aftermarket android tesla style head unit. I added a line out converter lci7 then connect the 2 amps, but I feel a little incomplete, I bought the gbl gto tweeters you recommended in one video aslo bought the BZRK tweeters because they look nice as well, haven't installed them yet because the ohm doesn't add up, can you please recommend me something to complete a good sound, I'm thinking to go with 2 way component speakers and trying to decide for a good midrange speakers for rear since I have the tweeters, I'm even willing to add 2 more 5 inch speakers and modify the rear doors if necessary! You have a lot of experience what should I get for the new amp that I got! I would really appreciate you bro... Really need your opinion and suggestions 🙏 I will copy and paste this to your videos till I get your attention 😁 BTW I have my eyes on the infinity kappa component
Those pioneer remind me of the Orion XTR1.00TW the tweeter sounds amazing but they are to soft and because they sound so full they tend to sound better with a low mid or mid bass bass like those in component set instead of mid range that can play up to 8k yes you can cross over but it wil have to much high mid and not enough low mid or mid bass.
DS 18 work good, but I have 2 old boss tw18 and I never see sound like that,no one beat this old TW18 Boss, but the new tw 18 are not the same, so to me DB Machete are amazing
Am l the only one who thinks pioneers sounds the best (loud & clear) ?
@@7amoka yes you most likely are. The Pioneer did not have enough noticable Highs.

(Looks like your purchase links are mixed up)
Ds18 sounds the nicest thru my phone not harsh definitely present and superclear just not super loud. I’ll probably buy some.

Could you test the DS18 PRO-HY6.4MSL 6.5" Shallow Hybrid Mid-Range by any chance?

Ds18 sounded like doo doo.
👍🏻
Luego lo veo , me estoy durmiendo 😟
Pioneer plays all the way out to 65Hz? Big “Meh”. 99% of people can’t even hear above 20Khz.
Thumbs down for the protein review thrown in, you will lose a subscriber if you keep that up
Haters always hate no matter what you do, so let be it
