I work for Coca-Cola Beverages Florida and I absolutely love my job, I had a Publix route before and it was just getting to stressful on me. I was one of the best but having 2 Publix stores with strict grocery managers always hounding you I just got tired of it and stepped back down to coverage, I owned a Walmart temporarily and I absolutely loved, I worked Walmart 4368 in Ocala Florida, easy store but very busy.
I've worked for Coca Cola since 2016 in Las Vegas, NV... Chicago, IL & Detroit, MI & Presently Work for Coca Cola. I'm wondering when you throw your back stock do you put it all on a U-Boat because although there neat they don't look palletized, when I'd rather keep it Palletized so I can just bring the whole pallet out. Man, I feel for you because I don't like having that much back-stock I get out as much as possible even to the point where I'll ask management for a display, I'll even work with my Account Manager on the order. The craziest place I've worked was in Las Vegas, NV at that time they could barely keep soda on the shelf next day I'm talking EMPTY. Anywho You were spot on about the Walmart Supercenters too.
I'm a merch out in Massachusetts and ya this job ain't no joke lol. Very physical but I'm use to it, I've done construction, roofing, landscaping, etc so I like these kind of jobs cause it's excercise. I been wit Coke a year and a half and within 6 months I lost 20lbs. Our loads are at least 3, 4 pallets but at Walmart we can have up to 12. How big are your loads usually?
If you don’t rotate things can go out of code quick. Some items like Diet/Zero Sugar soda has like a 3/4 month shelf life. No we don’t get to keep the expired the stuff. The store gets credited and it gets returned to the warehouse.

I worked for 7up in Flint for a couple of years and it was a breeze. On my route I had 5 stores and could get done in 5-6 hours if I wanted to but I dragged the day out longer by just packing things out as much as possible, checking dates, fronting product, tidying up backstock, etc. There wasn't really a process to anything because we didn't push as much volume as Coke and Pepsi. I moved to a new city and got a job working for Pepsi and it's like I have to learn a whole new process. First afternoon by myself they wanted me to do Meijer for about 3 hours but it took me 5 trying to fill up Gatorade, water, tea, home shelf, 6 displays, and blown out coolers and then condense everything for their everyday orders. I didn't even touch all of the endcaps because I was already their for too long. These stores push so much volume that I'm mad I have to use my brain for a simple stocking job lmao.
I agree i worked for Coca-Cola and ended up working there as well. Way easier since you don’t have to order in Florida just merchandise. Less stressful and the trucks are smaller. Some times I’d have 23 cases at one store. So i did what you said had to find things to stretch out the time a little bit

Depends.. i knew a person at my facility that literally got to stay at our most busy store all day every day and then there's people with 4 stores and having to hit the first store twice so 5 in total.
@@cmb9059 Correct, it all depends on the amount of volume your route pumps out. Moving to Texas, a lot of our merch routes have 4-5 accounts and have a decent volume pumped out of them, however when I was still in Wisconsin we had a couple routes where the Merch ordered for that store and those accounts did so much volume that that was the only store they worked.
