What I mean by games like this, I'm not just talking about Bond games. I mean those cool, action-packed games with epic gunfights, cool melee takedowns, set in real-world settings. agree there is always goddamn rpg fantasy games out there , i think thats why i love games from rockstar, its hard to tell their games always good without any of those fantasy magic stuff etc

Hey Sly, I recommend looking up "Phantom Doctrine 2: The Cabal" - an upcoming action third-person shooter. Hopefully it's not cancelled as there's been no word on it for a while but still! Looks really cool and it might have everything you described. The first game was a strategy game, but they're going full-on third person shooter for the sequel. :)
Consider this game (James Bond: Bloodstone) was a HUGE financial flop, is it any wonder they don't make games like this anymore? Video game companies are for profit after all. Don't get me wrong, I've played this game and I like it, but the sales numbers don't lie.
Maaan, I remember playing this on the Wii when I was a kid. I loved the James Bond games. This, Quantum of Solace, and Batman Begins on the GameCube were my 3 favorites.

I would LOVE a remake or remaster of this game. It’s not perfect, but I have so many fond memories with it. It was the first game where I pushed myself to see if I could beat it on the hardest difficulty and started enjoying more challenging experiences
because , If games start to be of this type, even though they are fun, the person looking for the category would get bored by the fact that all fps shooting games have the same objective and the same mechanics , so companies need to create for new ideas so that this doesn't happen and that the category of shooting games doesn't become a Dead category type game.
Been playing mafia 3 lately. Has a lot of takedown moves you can do basically like this except with a knife, guns, hands oh and your head lol. Minus any takedowns from ledges.
Cover-based shooters, with contextual instant-kill melee attacks? It's because of over-saturation. Too many studios were pumping out low effort, low quality games of this sort, and the genre fell out of style. Btw, if you want to see the apex of cover-based shooters, you need to try Binary Domain. From the developers of the Yakuza series, back when they still made good games. You shoot a lot of robots, and they break apart dynamically. It's real fun.
You're right about the oversaturation of those types of games during the PS3 era, which is already two console generations in the past. Given the advancements in today's technology, it seems ripe for a resurgence. Imagine a John Wick-style third-person shooter utilizing modern tech; dynamic environmental destruction, fluid gunplay, and seamless melee takedowns. Political correct games... They try to make every game not offensive and now they lack soul... Also, they mainly make games where they can put predatory tactics like battle pases or microtransactions... Miss how most games where great until 2016, then the pool of awesome games got way smaller
