This sounds like an imperative to me... 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
It’s subjunctive, as in “I want you to talk to your mother” here is not a direct command but a statement of influence, versus the command “Go talk to your mother.”
Another result of the public school system where life is not done with people of all ages, but instead, everyone is placed with people of their age only. Sad.
Children screaming during a lecture is RUDE RUDE RUDE. It is NOT cute. It’s distracting to the audience, the speaker, and to those who now cannot hear via video. Children are delightful in appropriate settings, NOT IN A CLASSROOM WHERE THE MESSAGE IS SO IMPORTANT.
@@Ditto61116 God sends him to minister. Allow those to hear. Listen without the cOnStient interruptions. At least walk out after several spells of crying. Everyone knows that’s rude. There are some people who just don’t understand etiquette
He says the church needs to step in and help, but you can check out some scholarships from the Home School Legal Defense. HSLDA.org There are some churches in parts of the USA that help, but there's also some financial programs helping many different kinds of families with different challenges.
I have to agree that part of the reason I began homeschooling was because of the fear of godless indoctrination of government schools. I kinda wanted to hide my kid from that. But I also include God and biblical teaching in my schooling. My question to this man is how do I get my son out in the world at only 10 years old to.... spread the word, I guess? I can myself....to friends, to the public in various ways. I use social media to promote homeschooling. We don't hide the fact that God is included as the base. But how can my kid use it at his age? Now when he gets into his upper years he will have debate classes that will teach him how to talk to people about God. But at 10 I don't understand how he can. All I can do is prepare him for doing that later. But this man makes very good points.
I have wondered the same things but my son who is 8 plays soccer and I remind him that his friendships he builds is golden opportunity to shine Gods light. We also grow our own food so it’s a HUGE opportunity to share that food with our local community and my son said the other day he wanted to get bibles to pass out. So I’m working hard on finding some in bulk because if he feels led to that I want to foster that. So just pray that the Lord will open up doors for y’all as a team. My grandmother used to take my dad around telling missionary stories and spreading the gospel in inner city areas and it was a great start to my dads journey at such a young age.
Children are not supposed to be evangelists. So you don't have to make your son spread the word. We discipline the children in the ways of God, and when the time is due they will learn or be taught how to do it themselves. I don't understand parents putting this burden on the shoulders of young kids to go and evangelize
Also it would be really great if someone did an expository of how judaism are meerly biblical comandments and information. When I make a deduction by bible teaching they say "no thats the jews"" and the fact jews cet things right becomes a reason To disreguard Gods, afterall gee, word.
It would be a sacrifice for sure. My wife homeschools our kids. She quit her job that she loved, and I found a job that would support us more. It was a difficult transition but we have never regretted it! We live on less now, but that was a small price to pay for us and I do realize every situation is different. God bless you on your journey!
I homeschool my children. Don’t allow yourself to feel guilty if you cannot. It simply not financial possible for every family. If anyone judges you, they are not for you. I was a public school teacher for 14 years before I was able to stop and begin schooling my children.
Make sure you’re not living out of your means. What I mean by that is, make sure you’re not both working just to afford things of this world. Nothing of this world (like our house) is more important. If possible, move to a smaller house/apartment where only your husband is able to work and afford it. The discipleship of our children is above all material things.
we simplified. We moved into the country where cost of housing was cheaper. Also, homeschooling does not have to be 9-5. we have friends who school in the evening before going to bed
I was in a private Christian school for 12 years. Never heard the true gospel. By God’s grace I was saved shortly after school when the true gospel reached my ears and my heart.
There should be a French Voddie Baucham. Im sure there are some statistics and dirty facts to find. I know some. Reading abillity is as bad as that country they invent that wouldnt have schools.
Debra Jackson I also think she should have smothered the baby. How dare this parent bring a baby to a family conference?! This woman has no right to hear VB's message after having a child. SMH
Debra Jackson I understand what you are saying. It can be distracting. That being said. Children need to learn to sit quiet in church. If they get too distracting. Take them out for a brief period, and then bring them back in.
Anna Brown - Uh she could've taken her kid out if they were fussing and then we (including the mother of this child) heard this RECORDED video posted on youtube KID-CRYING-FREE :D She should've respected that this was an important sermon/message and taken her kid out so other people could hear what he was saying.
Barney Gumble Actually most adults can focus past a slight childs whimper- we do it all the time in life! These comments show unhealthy we are today in thinking our children have to be segregated all the time from us.
Does not this church have a children’s church ? Why does every video have a baby crying and the parent not taking them out. Are they not taught that to reverence the man of God
Lifelong Joy he actually believes that’s children should be in listening and not separated. He does the same thing at his church, it is called family integrated worship. If you are listening to this as a homeschooler with with more than one child you know that you don’t separate your children. Show grace to those who have little ones who need to listen to this just as much as you.
Trinity Grace actually, back then it was the husbands responsibility to teach the family because women couldn't go into the temple and neither could children.
Julie Rotermund it still is their role as priest, prophet, protector and provider today. Dads are abandoning their duties to the government and the church.
I homeschool because I really enjoy being with them and want a biblical education for them:)
I needed this. We are blessed for this messanger and glad he is doing well.
Those complaining about the baby must not have many kids! If they did, they’d be able to tune that right out haha
I really wish there was better audio
Love this lecture!
This sounds like an imperative to me... 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Is THAT an argument against homeschooling? He addresses that... Did you listen?
Lol ... so why cant we let our light shines in how we choose to homeschool our children?!
It’s subjunctive, as in “I want you to talk to your mother” here is not a direct command but a statement of influence, versus the command “Go talk to your mother.”
Grown people who whine, complain and cry that babies whine, complain and cry are interesting folk.

Can someone tell me what he said at 14:10 . Sin becomes harder to......
I couldn’t hear because the baby screamed . Help please thank you !!! 😘
Sin becomes harder to hide.
Hide. Harder to hide.
Please help us be able to hear the speaker. Please.

Captivated2 Amen this lady was arguing me down about how God loves the children etc. yes but this message is so important to many! Thank you!
Not ever do you read where the children were seperated from the crowd when Jesus was teaching. RUDE RUDE RUDE to those who want to seperate children.

Does anyone know how he addresses single parents and homeschooling? Thanks
shelisegr8love I just know that he has said that the church needs to do better in stepping up and helping single moms homeschool. ❤

The whole world is under the sway of the evil one...
1 John 5:14...
Homeschool your kids in a Godly home!!
You didn't answer how to teach calculus etc
What about when both parents work? I would love to homeschooling our children but my husband and I both work. 😕😕

What about a Christian school?
Not the same. I was private schooled and they are not all excellent. Parents still need to be the primary influence.
I was in a private Christian school for 12 years. Never heard the true gospel.
By God’s grace I was saved shortly after school when the true gospel reached my ears and my heart.
They are simply way overpriced. We couldn't afford it.

Great topic and message. Unfortunately someone has a baby that keeps whining throughout the entire message. SMH.

Lifelong Joy it is biblical to have children in the congregation meetings. What children's section did Moses bring his kids to? 😉

Julie Rotermund it still is their role as priest, prophet, protector and provider today. Dads are abandoning their duties to the government and the church.
Trinity Grace I couldn't agree more, but I also believe the church isn't equipping families, they are not training the men to lead their families!
