make sure your talisman enrichments are set to sea creature chance and your beacon is set to sea creature chance until you have 100% sea creature chance then you can change beacon to magic find

for dumping that much time into researching fishing for this video you left out a lot of important details, one for example being to unlock the trophy hunter armor before hitting fishing 27 so you don't have to worry about lava sea creatures slowing it down, or the auger rod for Jerry's Island, and I would say flying fish early isn't as good as ammonite as ammonite gives similar fishing speed (not compared to mythic flying fish obviously) and it gives scc which is lacking in early fishing progression

The video is great, but i have 1 thing to correct you on. The hunter attribute actually does not appear on any item type so you can not swap to it!

@@dotakimu999 yep it's a really old bug that I've been reporting since crimson isles came out. But I guess that now with attributes becoming profile upgrades it won't matter anymore

Once again, what should I do If I am rod swapping? More specifically, Does rod swapping also take the scc of the better rod in addition to taking the fishing speed?

It takes the fishing speed of the 1st rod and the scc of the 2nd rod but in my opinion there isn't really a point to do that since other than shredder and rots there isn't really a point where you have 2 rods that each have a different stat higher. And for that one instance it's not really a big boost.

no you want pet rule because otherwise you're getting less sea creature chance and/or fishing speed from your main pet.

If all you want is xp and will only use 1 pet, a flying fish is better because of the speed it gives

I'm already at fishing 25 and have both divers armor and shark scale. I recently bought a lvl 100 legendary flying fish, Neither of my armorsets are reforged yet, which one is better to reforge?
I looked a bit at t he calculator and it seems to think that it would be better to reforge my diver's, but the difference is very small. Will the shark scale be better for later game fishing or will the diver's always be better?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think with legendary fish pet you get 20% stats on divers, so its better overall (idk if mythic gives bonus to divers armor, so maybe actually go down to legendary)

Tbh u don’t need to reforge any armour until magma lord as no one really buys it and it’s not that important. You will use magma lord the longest as well.

If you want to go for max XP you should have an already maxed flying fish/ammonite and have it set for "when you throw a fishing rod" and have "when you gain fishing exp" on squid. Alternatively if you want to level a pet you would swap the squid to whatever pet that is.
