Honestly, it just looks like what hip hop dancing usually looks like. I’ve always thought a lot of kpops group look stiff when dancing and I now realize it’s cause they make the women dance that way on purpose.

The difference in style is so real. It's pretty much why I only listen to girl groups for the music (which is cool too!), but when I watch boy groups I want to sign up for dance lessons cause it looks awesome! (Of course it's cool if other people prefer the girl group style, that's just my personal taste)
this is why i like watching guy groups more, they look like they're actually allowed to have fun with the dance more while the girls must always look pretty and be showing a nice pose

The “girl” version of this is literally just posing. Like ggs have cool choreography too. This person toned down girl moves unnecessarily much especially for a song like this. Cutesy bgs and ggs have cutesy dances while cool bgs/ggs have powerful dances.
This is why I love boy kpop group choreography even more than girl group choreography. Both styles are so fun to watch, but I love how more punch and stomping is added to mens choreography.
But that kind of a stereotype here because not all girls group dance like this and that type of video make me kind of uncomfortable like why girls look always "sweet, cute and pure🥺" like WOMEN are not like this and if you know XG, YOUNGPOSSEY... Etc they don't dance like that AT ALL and if the most girls group dance like this I think it's because of stereotype, dance have no genders and I don't know how we could say that THAT DANCE or movement is more girlish or masculin... Anyway no hate to her but I'm so done with stereotype😩

Unfortunately it is the way it is and it's why people are often surprised when they see certain female idols do BG choreos really really well. Most of the time they are forced to dance within a certain box.
I think for this type of music boy group is definitely preferable. the whole song is meant to powerful and eye-catching, so the choreo should be as well
Girlgroup dancing needs more love here. Theres so much energy going in permanently looking smooth and perfect and making fast arm and leg movements look „gentle“ is way harder than it looks 😭

That maybe the case, but the eyes are drawn to the other style for many people here. It's also well known that most girl groups don't get super dynamic movements most of the time because they're usually wearing outfits that don't work with it. Slow, sensual and highly controlled movements can work really freaking well. Taemin is a testament to that in Move and Guilty. But here it doesn't feel that way, even though the dancer did a fantastic job on both.
Yeah ik its hard but I would rather see them doing the boy group dance stuff because you know they have the talent and are fantastic dancers, give them a dance that shows off that talent. Who gives a dam about looking sexy when you can look cool instead and make people go 'wow' instead.

I had to watch this like 5 times before I could take my eyes off the boy group style to appreciate the girl group style. So... in total I've watched it dozens of times now. Every movement is perfect. I would argue those are more about revealing body parts/body rolls/ etc. none of which is the focus of this dance. Yes she made it up, but it's the "same" choreo stylized for girls vs boys and they're both very enery. Old Gen boy groups had many of the same issues you're listing, ie doing a pose, a few movements, then walking to a new position rinse/repeat. I am saying I appreciate the less feminine style of dance more frequently, and it doesn't make the girl groups bad dancers or anything of the sort. They can still be "full of energy" and still a more "feminine" style. This boils down to preference, no need to argue.
