Nicely said! I'm a nature's child at heart. This reminds me of when I go walking in nature and see all those beautiful flowers, I want to pick them all and take them home with me but this thought always comes up in my head, if everyone who saw these flowers picked them, there wouldn't be any left for me to admire.

For me a part of accepting myself was accepting that my personality has more of a bit shy/laid back vibe and thats totally ok. I think being loud and the center of attention has become such a "goal" in our society that we are forgetting that differences in personalities are a real thing. We dont all need to "work" on becoming more extroverted, as long as your silent personality is because you are genuinly just like that, and not because you feel insecure about yourself/feel nervous about speaking up, then that is ok.

Anytime I feel like I've opened up 100% to the point I feel back into the swing of me--people tend to treat me like an overactive dog that should just shut up and calm down. It's either I'm stoic and subdued, or extremely extroverted and passionate. There's no in-between. Plus, anytime I break out of that shell of stoicism and genuinely express my truth to others--it's like they somehow think I'm trying to convince myself of what I'm saying. Like I should've stayed the silent type instead of "preaching" whatever wisdom I held inside that felt important to me. It's embarrassing. Like even if I were to let that light of my truth shine it would still be too bright for people to take without their ego pushing me away.

I am conscious in a Christian family. My mom is a pastor. I was marginalised for years.. for living a “demonic” life. For watching what I eat. But I stuck to it despite whatever the fuq they thought. Now? They have a different level of respect for me because they see the peace on me. They hear the wisdom. Now that they understand the benefits of healthy eating, suddenly I’m not so strange. 😅

I´ve always thought i have to be that chameleon to get accepted by everyone. I just wanted to fit in and did things other´s expected me to do. Never what i wanted to do. I’m dealing with addiction and hearing this really made me cry because this isn’t me it’s never been me. I’ve never in life been able to live my truth I felt like I had an awakening but I’m still like you said, holding on to things that WILL NOT serve the higher self I want to become. Drugs make you someone your not. To you and the above commenter, do not feel guilt. You are growing because you are realizing you are serving something that does not serve you. Go through the appropriate steps to battle your addiction, but remain spiritual in mindset and soul. Be patient with yourself, and you will have a breakthrough. What inspired me was after I changed schools & found myself acting out of character, trying to fit it. When we were getting the one week COVID break I chose to do something about it or attempt too. Then obviously we never went back. I had all this free time was on my hands & I was on a bit of a inspirational kick it was just super exciting for me.

I graduated with a math degree but never felt happy when I was in the university "studying" all those stuff... to be honest I don't care what theorems or researches are waiting for me to figure out I just don't care and I feel that even though I could make progress in that field, it doesn't matter to my own life and self values. Just shed a few tears off this. “Serving two masters”. Sometimes it’s a fight to stand fully within yourself and shut out the opinions of others or the need to please and fit within someone else’s standards only feel like you have a friend but whats more important is that your a friend to yourself first. That fight isn’t easy but when you know fully know who you are meant to be then it makes following the path a little less difficult to navigate.
I so appreciate you and sharing with us your journey. It helps me to validate myself as myself. I am 60 and just now shedding all the programming from my past and yearning for full acceptance of myself by myself. I’m in the process. My first step started 10 years ago with cutting off all the color of my hair and going grey. I love it and I feel free!! I have had to learn not to care of what others think about my outer appearance. I accept my natural look.
I had an opposite experience. My mom locked my hair when I was in 6th grade because she didn't want to do my hair anymore. It was out of convenience not because I wanted it. I did like my hair some days but not really. By the time I was in 10th grade, I felt suffocated by my own hair because it wasn't styling the way I wanted and collected a lot of dust. I finally picked them out and starting doing my own natural hair that was more versatile. It felt like I dropped chains from my head. I truly believe the way you present yourself on the outside should be a reflection of how you want to feel on the inside. I feel so much better caring for my hair and sometimes I do faux locs because I learned to love locs again. I just know that I require more change and versatility to be my authentic self.
My daughter is 10 and asked for locs. I think because I have them. She has low porosity curly hair and if loc'ed would be gorgeous. She's a determined girl. We were in the chair. I chickened out. I had her learn more about her natural hair and embrace with true knowledge from a chemist perspective. Now she sees herself more through her lens. She can decide at 16. And I may still chicken out. My mother hated my hair so much she keep it 2 inches in a fro. People always thought I was a cute boy. Talk about reconditioning one's own acceptance. SMH.
I always tinted my lashes and eyebrows - cause I thought my light lashes and brows weren’t nice but I completely stopped this. Stopped wearing makeup, dying and cutting my hair - the natural me is the happy me 🙏🏼💙
This is how I’ve felt about being spiritual in general... because I don’t wanna be grouped in with the new age movements but my connection to spirit and my interest in occult studies is a big part of who I am. I’ve always been underestimated with my intelligence and a lot of people associate spiritual people with being unintelligent because our knowledge isn’t proven by logic or science. It’s a work in progress.
I feel you. I am a science major and I see so many parallels between the spiritual and science realm. Just because it hasn’t been proven, does not mean it is not true. ♥️ hopefully what I said helps a bit. Serving two masters. This is my discovery right now. I’ve been seeing that in my life and was slowing making that journey to showing my true self. I also grew up bi-racial, feeling disconnected from my father’s Mexican culture and later shutting myself off from my mother’s dysfunctional Caucasian family. I too wanted to blend in and not stand out and so I learned how to hide much of myself in the process. I’ve been straightening my hair for eight years feeling resentment to my natural hair. Sounds harsh and while I felt I’ve advanced spiritually over the years, I this was something I struggled with-accepting this part of my true self. HAIR. It’s so powerful, it has so much meaning. This hair, these curls came from my mother’s side, a deeply wounded, elders with PTSD, drug, alcohol, physical, mental, sexual and emotional abuse history spanning generations. I’ve been discovering that these curls connected me to that linage and I didn’t feel comfortable facing it. A trip to Mexico, on a small island, detached from internet connection helped me reconnect with a part of myself that I hid for my corporate career. I learned as a child how to suppress myself and exist as a chameleon in the world and waking up to the fact that I was still doing this, suppressing my history, my true self and who knows what else-it was profound and I can feel shifts happening in embracing more of my true self. Through the power of RUclips and sending out the intention to receive the message I need-I found this video and your channel. This was the message my heart needed. Thank you 🙏🏽

I was telling my self that it was because of the bleach damage and dye, which it was but deep down i didnt like how my natural self looked With My Dreads and me always scrolling through Instagram, i ended up finding myself wanting to wear the wigs and the braids so i can have that long pretty hair, i needed an excuse to wear those things so i could look pretty. I lied to myself and now I still feel empty with the wigs and braids, But now I Choose To Practice Self-love, all the way this time. Thank You🙌🏾.

I'm so grateful for you to talk about this. I've had a long journey with body hair. I started growing it 2 years ago and my parents didn't accept it because I happen to be a woman. I know they're just worried about what society may think but they don't understand that it's worth it. And I know deep in my heart that the hair helps me connect with my feminine energy. I'm not dirty or masculine or weird for loving my body the way God made it.
I love looking like my natural self! It’s been a journey of mine since 2015. I shaved my dyed hair all off, battled with throwing away makeup and started to dress for me. I am more confident and at peace with myself. I will always be growing but it is truly beautiful just to see me in the mirror
I did this last year! Shaved my head, threw away my makeup and wore clothes that I felt free and comfortable in. It’s been a long journey but I am loving the woman I am becoming. She is so beautiful and so kind and so brave.

Geez, I grew up with a narcissistic, demanding, controlling, and societal driven mother. I really truly just always wanted to be myself & I’m just getting into being bold within my truth. The truth does have to be ingrained. I didn’t feel beautiful all my life & I always felt like I had to cater to others & always be available. I suffered tremendously. I now show up for myself & it’s been an amazing journey towards self discovery, self trust, less self-deprecating behavior, & self love. I’ve been training my mind to not focus on what I don’t love about my physical, but appreciating what I do love. I’ve been training my mind to not ruminate over my mistakes absent of solutions but to realize how far I’ve come & how I prayed to be where I am today & that the things I can change will be changed. I trust myself. I love myself.

For me, the old part of myself that I keep holding on to, even though I want to evolve, is unhealthy eating habits, processed food for every meal. I've done clean eating before and I felt the amazing difference, feeling lighter, almost like skipping; the energy; the expression of gratitude. I want to let go of this poor habit - I've been keeping myself in a lower vibration.
I've been watching Hindz every waking day to start my day right for the past few weeks, and this has to be my favorite by far as I resonate with this a lot. I've been living a conflicting life, knowing the truth but also going against the truth, I'm very stubborn like that. I always say, "no, I decide my own path" when I already know the path I should take--if that makes sense. And because of that I've been hitting dead-ends, and find myself in constant misery. I’d say I used to suppress being the real me when I was transitioning to being a full time entrepreneur. Especially to my family, it was more respectable to work a 9-5 and have a “little side business/side hustle” than to be fully self employed. But I wasn’t happy, and the work wasn’t fulfilling. And I knew that keeping things that way I was never going to live the life that I truly enjoyed. But it’s been almost 4 months since I’ve never looked back, and things have only been lookin up for me! 😇

Just remember you will not feel like this forever. Live I recommend you to do shadow work. I so appreciate this brother. Recently I did another big chop to signify me starting over. I come from a corporate background but I’m realizing it made me surpress my true self. I don’t want to be bound by outside expectations. At 30, I am now really learning to love myself as is, how Thee Most High created me. So no more blowouts to my hair. I’m bald, braless, no designer clothes, shoes or purses. Ive adapted to minimalism. No longer using my outward adornments as a crutch to avoid how I was desperately falling apart from un healed trauma, terrible habits and low self worth. This wasn’t how I used to be. I’m currently overweight and learning how to also show love to myself at THIS moment and not just hold out my love for myself when I am back at a visually pleasing aesthetic. It’s a rough journey, but it’s a necessity. I’ve since had a spark of creativity. I know I’m on the right track. Abba has me covered and I’m excited to see my true self. Thanks for sharing. Shalom✨
I had a similar hair story; having had a relaxer since age 6. My sister cut her relaxed hair out and grew out her natural hair. I started trying to grow my hair out but felt like I had to put a flat iron to my nappy roots to blend (no pun intended) into society. My hair did not like this. So I ended up just chopping it off and it was so liberating. I am now 11 years natural. Thank you for sharing your hair story. Your message of self acceptance really hit home. I’m so glad I cut low vibing people out of my life. Sometimes we learn to stand in our authentic self more when there aren’t people to constantly ‘weigh in’ on YOUR journey. This video is perfect! I just died my hair green. The night I bleached my hair I was so afraid and I drew an oracle card, it said higher self. I took it as a sign that rainbow hair was part of my true self (wanted it for 30 years). I thought hair was a weird thing for my soul to care about but this video makes so much sense to me. First of all, I really loved the intro for this video! As someone who was bullied for years, I thought I couldn't be myself. So over the years I become a person who was scared to speak up his mind, do stuff other people want me to do, and more. For years I have not spoken up my mind because I was afraid people would spit me out. And thanks to meditation, reading and your videos I feel like I should do this life for me and no one else. For me a part of accepting myself was accepting that my personality has more of a bit shy/laid back vibe and thats totally ok. I think being loud and the center of attention has become such a "goal" in our society that we are forgetting that differences in personalities are a real thing. We dont all need to "work" on becoming more extroverted, as long as your silent personality is because you are genuinly just like that, and not because you feel insecure about yourself/feel nervous about speaking up, then that is ok.

Anytime I feel like I've opened up 100% to the point I feel back into the swing of me--people tend to treat me like an overactive dog that should just shut up and calm down. It's either I'm stoic and subdued, or extremely extroverted and passionate. There's no in-between.
Plus, anytime I break out of that shell of stoicism and genuinely express my truth to others--it's like they somehow think I'm trying to convince myself of what I'm saying. Like I should've stayed the silent type instead of "preaching" whatever wisdom I held inside that felt important to me. It's embarrassing. Like even if I were to let that light of my truth shine it would still be too bright for people to take without their ego pushing me away.

I’m dealing with addiction and hearing this really made me cry because this isn’t me it’s never been me. I’ve never in life been able to live my truth I felt like I had an awakening but I’m still like you said, holding on to things that WILL NOT serve the higher self I want to become. Drugs make you someone your not. To you and the above commenter, do not feel guilt. You are growing because you are realizing you are serving something that does not serve you. What inspired me was after I changed schools & found myself acting out of character, trying to fit it. When we were getting the one week COVID break I chose to do something about it or attempt too. I graduated with a math degree but never felt happy when I was in the university "studying" all those stuff... to be honest I don't care what theorems or researches are waiting for me to figure out I just don't care and I feel that even though I could make progress in that field, it doesn't matter to my own life and self values. Now I've made a decision to be a film director and make great films during my life time. Just shed a few tears off this. “Serving two masters”. Sometimes it’s a fight to stand fully within yourself and shut out the opinions of others or the need to please and fit within someone else’s standards only feel like you have a friend but whats more important is that your a friend to yourself first. That fight isn’t easy but when you know fully know who you are meant to be then it makes following the path a little less difficult to navigate.
I so appreciate you and sharing with us your journey. It helps me to validate myself as myself. I am 60 and just now shedding all the programming from my past and yearning for full acceptance of myself by myself. I’m in the process. My first step started 10 years ago with cutting off all the color of my hair and going grey. I love it and I feel free!! I have had to learn not to care of what others think about my outer appearance. I accept my natural look.
I had an opposite experience. My mom locked my hair when I was in 6th grade because she didn't want to do my hair anymore. It was out of convenience not because I wanted it. I did like my hair some days but not really. By the time I was in 10th grade, I felt suffocated by my own hair because it wasn't styling the way I wanted and collected a lot of dust. I finally picked them out and starting doing my own natural hair that was more versatile. It felt like I dropped chains from my head. I truly believe the way you present yourself on the outside should be a reflection of how you want to feel on the inside. I feel so much better caring for my hair and sometimes I do faux locs because I learned to love locs again. I just know that I require more change and versatility to be my authentic self.
My daughter is 10 and asked for locs. I think because I have them. She has low porosity curly hair and if loc'ed would be gorgeous. She's a determined girl. We were in the chair. I chickened out. I had her learn more about her natural hair and embrace with true knowledge from a chemist perspective. Now she sees herself more through her lens. She can decide at 16. And I may still chicken out. My mother hated my hair so much she keep it 2 inches in a fro. People always thought I was a cute boy. Talk about reconditioning one's own acceptance. SMH.
I always tinted my lashes and eyebrows - cause I thought my light lashes and brows weren’t nice but I completely stopped this. Stopped wearing makeup, dying and cutting my hair - the natural me is the happy me 🙏🏼💙

This is how I’ve felt about being spiritual in general... because I don’t wanna be grouped in with the new age movements but my connection to spirit and my interest in occult studies is a big part of who I am. I’ve always been underestimated with my intelligence and a lot of people associate spiritual people with being unintelligent because our knowledge isn’t proven by logic or science.

Serving two masters. This is my discovery right now. I’ve been seeing that in my life and was slowing making that journey to showing my true self. I also grew up bi-racial, feeling disconnected from my father’s Mexican culture and later shutting myself off from my mother’s dysfunctional Caucasian family. I too wanted to blend in and not stand out and so I learned how to hide much of myself in the process. I’ve been straightening my hair for eight years feeling resentment to my natural hair. Sounds harsh and while I felt I’ve advanced spiritually over the years, I this was something I struggled with-accepting this part of my true self. HAIR. It’s so powerful, it has so much meaning. This hair, these curls came from
my mother’s side, a deeply wounded, elders with PTSD, drug, alcohol, physical, mental, sexual and emotional abuse history spanning generations. I’ve been discovering that these curls connected me to that linage and I didn’t feel comfortable facing it. A trip to Mexico, on a small island, detached from internet connection helped me reconnect with a part of myself that I hid for my corporate career. I learned as a child how to suppress myself and exist as a chameleon in the world and waking up to the fact that I was still doing this, suppressing my history, my true self and who knows what else-it was profound and I can feel shifts happening in embracing more of my true self. Through the power of RUclips and sending out the intention to receive the message I need-I found this video and your channel. This was the message my heart needed. Thank you 🙏🏽

I cut my Dreads a Month Ago. I was telling my self that it was because of the bleach damage and dye, which it was but deep down i didnt like how my natural self looked With My Dreads and me always scrolling through Instagram, i ended up finding myself wanting to wear the wigs and the braids so i can have that long pretty hair, i needed an excuse to wear those things so i could look pretty. I lied to myself and now I still feel empty with the wigs and braids, But now I Choose To Practice Self-love, all the way this time. Thank You🙌🏾.

I'm so grateful for you to talk about this. I've had a long journey with body hair. I started growing it 2 years ago and my parents didn't accept it because I happen to be a woman. I know they're just worried about what society may think but they don't understand that it's worth it. And I know deep in my heart that the hair helps me connect with my feminine energy. I'm not dirty or masculine or weird for loving my body the way God made it.

I love looking like my natural self! It’s been a journey of mine since 2015. I shaved my dyed hair all off, battled with throwing away makeup and started to dress for me. I am more confident and at peace with myself. I will always be growing but it is truly beautiful just to see me in the mirror
I did this last year! Shaved my head, threw away my makeup and wore clothes that I felt free and comfortable in. It’s been a long journey but I am loving the woman I am becoming. She is so beautiful and so kind and so brave.

@@alirodriguez4598 anything is typically fine if you simply want to do it. I just think it’s unhealthy if you haven’t accepted yourself and are using those things as a tool to hide yourself intentionally or unintentionally

Geez, I grew up with a narcissistic, demanding, controlling, and societal driven mother. I really truly just always wanted to be myself & I’m just getting into being bold within my truth. The truth does have to be ingrained. I didn’t feel beautiful all my life & I always felt like I had to cater to others & always be available. I suffered tremendously. I now show up for myself & it’s been an amazing journey towards self discovery, self trust, less self-deprecating behavior, & self love. I’ve been training my mind to not focus on what I don’t love about my physical, but appreciating what I do love. I’ve been training my mind to not ruminate over my mistakes absent of solutions but to realize how far I’ve come & how I prayed to be where I am today & that the things I can change will be changed. I trust myself. I love myself.

I relate 100%. What’s stopping me is my body, I’m always so obsessed with how I look. I always try to change my body but I realize I have to accept my true body to accept my true self as well.
The energy that comes from accepting yourself is the same energy that tells the world to accept you

For me, the old part of myself that I keep holding on to, even though I want to evolve, is unhealthy eating habits, processed food for every meal. I've done clean eating before and I felt the amazing difference, feeling lighter, almost like skipping; the energy; the expression of gratitude. I want to let go of this poor habit - I've been keeping myself in a lower vibration.
Same, I ask for growth everyday tho. Now When I try to eat anything that doesn’t benefit my health it doesn’t taste the same.
I've been watching Hindz every waking day to start my day right for the past few weeks, and this has to be my favorite by far as I resonate with this a lot. I've been living a conflicting life, knowing the truth but also going against the truth, I'm very stubborn like that. I always say, "no, I decide my own path" when I already know the path I should take--if that makes sense. And because of that I've been hitting dead-ends, and find myself in constant misery. Watching this, along with the other videos and his podcast episodes I listened to, I realize that now. I know my truth, I should follow my truth so I will live in truth, and through this journey I hope I'll be at peace with my truth. Thank you.

I’d say I used to suppress being the real me when I was transitioning to being a full time entrepreneur. Especially to my family, it was more respectable to work a 9-5 and have a “little side business/side hustle” than to be fully self employed. But I wasn’t happy, and the work wasn’t fulfilling. And I knew that keeping things that way I was never going to live the life that I truly enjoyed.
But it’s been almost 4 months since I’ve never looked back, and things have only been lookin up for me! 😇

I picked some kale, bok choi and bindens alba leaves from my garden this morning and was boiling them. I was about to throw the water down the draing but your video was playing and I heard the tea pour and thought "This has to be a lot of nutrients , let me make a tea" so i poured it in a cup added some surgar and its absoutlely delicious. This made me tear up because when you said “I see you” sometimes I look in the mirror and I don’t see myself or it’s like I avoid looking at myself.
You are beautiful. Shut out society and focus on the unique features you were blessed with. I used to feel insecure and wish I didn’t have certain physical features. Just remember you will not feel like this forever. Live I recommend you to do shadow work. It helps you get closer to your true self and it helps you heal from trauma and the events that gives us our insecurities. I’m only sending positive energy to you

I so appreciate this brother. Recently I did another big chop to signify me starting over. I come from a corporate background but I’m realizing it made me surpress my true self. I don’t want to be bound by outside expectations. At 30, I am now really learning to love myself as is, how Thee Most High created me. So no more blowouts to my hair. I’m bald, braless, no designer clothes, shoes or purses. Ive adapted to minimalism. No longer using my outward adornments as a crutch to avoid how I was desperately falling apart from un healed trauma, terrible habits and low self worth. This wasn’t how I used to be. I’m currently overweight and learning how to also show love to myself at THIS moment and not just hold out my love for myself when I am back at a visually pleasing aesthetic. It’s a rough journey, but it’s a necessity. I’ve since had a spark of creativity. I know I’m on the right track. Abba has me covered and I’m excited to see my true self. Thanks for sharing. Shalom✨
I had a similar hair story; having had a relaxer since age 6. My sister cut her relaxed hair out and grew out her natural hair. I started trying to grow my hair out but felt like I had to put a flat iron to my nappy roots to blend (no pun intended) into society. My hair did not like this. So I ended up just chopping it off and it was so liberating. I am now 11 years natural. Thank you for sharing your hair story. Your message of self acceptance really hit home. I’m so glad I cut low vibing people out of my life. Sometimes we learn to stand in our authentic self more when there aren’t people to constantly ‘weigh in’ on YOUR journey. I understand not completely fitting in with either side. It’s probably what led to me becoming a loner. Now in my 30s, I’m discovering who I really am and learning to love myself. Thank you for this message and I hope more people are touched by this.

This video is perfect! I just died my hair green. The night I bleached my hair I was so afraid and I drew an oracle card, it said higher self. I took it as a sign that rainbow hair was part of my true self (wanted it for 30 years). I thought hair was a weird thing for my soul to care about but this video makes so much sense to me. This is my way of saying no more accounting job, no more what society wants, no half in half out. Not natural but more authentic for me! Thank you for this beautiful message it helps so much. 🤍🤍🤍

As someone who was bullied for years, I thought I couldn't be myself.
So over the years I become a person who was scared to speak up his mind, do stuff other people want me to do, and more.
For years I have not spoken up my mind because I was afraid people would spit me out.
And thanks to meditation, reading and your videos I feel like I should do this life for me and no one else.
Some people might find that selfish, but if I cannot accept who I am no one will.
